Dear All.
I was trying to install TWRP and custom ROM on my devices. My Devices bootloader is already unlocked. but when i was going to enter the fastboot mode, my devices only shows this massage:
"SC Fastboot mode
long press power key to shutdown devices"
it doesn't show any information about my phone, bootloader version, secure boot etc. I'm trying to force my phone to enter bootloader mode but it only shows something like barcode on the right side of the devices. can someone help me?:crying:

If the blue led lights up then it's pointless trying to unlock it again. Flash whatever it is you unlocked your boot loader for and report back. And in future make your screen shots bigger.

You're doing it wrong!
You hold the menu key!
I hold to unlock the bootloader menu ..
Right at the bottom.
but can not, as I have shown with the photo.
if I install the kernel and go into recovery with volume down button, nothing happens.
if I type in the phone * # * # 7378423 # * # *, under Bootloader unlock allowed says yes
P.s. regarding the video do the same passage ..
To unlock bootloader I did this:
First, you should confirm that it is possible to unlock the boot loader of your phone by checking the service menu. In your phone, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
In your phone, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.
On your computer, click Continue at the bottom of this page to start the unlock boot loader process.
Read through the information in the pop up window and click Yes, I’m sure, if you are still confident you want to unlock the boot loader.
Read through and accept the legal terms. Click I Accept.
Enter your name, email address and the first 14 digits (remove the last digit) of your phone’s IMEI number. Click Submit. You can view the IMEI number by entering *#06# on your phone.
The unlock boot loader key is displayed. Write it down and save it for later use.
Download and install the latest Android SDK from developer.android.com.
Download and unzip this file. This is the standard android_winusb.inf-file, with a few lines of code added to enable Fastboot to support Sony and Sony Ericsson devices. Make sure you are running Google USB Driver package revision 4 or higher in your Android SDK. You can see current Google USB Driver package revision in the SDK Manager.
Place the unzipped file in the usb_driver folder, located in the Android SDK > extras > google folder on your computer. Accept to replace the old android_winusb.inf-file with the new file. If you can't find the usb_driver folder, please install the Google USB Driver Packager using the Android SDK manager.
Turn off your phone.
On your phone, push and hold the unlock button* at the same time as you connect the phone to the computer with a USB-cable. The unlock button may differ between different phone models. See the note in the bottom of this page for more information on what button use on your phone.
On your computer, you will be asked for drivers. Point to the usb_driver folder where you placed the android_winusb.inf-file, and select the Android Boot loader Interface-file.
Open a command window and go to the tools folder within the Android SDK folder.
Enter fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version, and verify that you get a response back (for example "0.3"). This means your phone is connected properly.
Warning! If you perform this step, you will unlock the boot loader. This may void your warranty and/or any warranty from your operator. If you still want to unlock the boot loader of your phone, enter fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY, where KEY is the unlock boot loader key you got in the beginning of this instruction. The boot loader should now be successfully unlocked.
per cambiare kernel ho fatto questo :
Download the latest version of the rom.
Copy the zip file downloaded to the phone's SD card.
Open the downloaded zip file from step 1 on your computer and extract the boot.img file from inside the zip to the tools folder in your ADB on your computer.
Boot into fastboot mode on your phone. To do this, turn off the phone. Then, while holding the Menu button, connect the USB cable to the phone.
Now flash the boot.img (this is the kernel that are required to update the ROM) with fastboot by typing the following command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
* or if the previous command does not work, then enter the following command:
fastboot-i 0x0fce flash boot boot.img
After the flash is complete, disconnect the phone from the computer.
Now, start the recovery ClockworkMod on your phone. To do this, turn on the phone, then wait for the blue LED to illuminate. Once you see the blue LED lit, enter the return key on the phone to enter CWM. In recovery, use the volume keys to move up and down and the home button to select the options.
I also followed the video you posted ..
but nothing to do ..
could you advise me ?

Hello Guys..

(the three dots are the response from CMD) and after that nothing happens and cmd doesn't allow me to write anything more, please help, me I can't live with a locked bootloader.

When on XDA I assume you selected "HTC One" as the model? Also, you have the fastboot command line open but when you go to the bootloader are you presented with two options that the volume keys can move on or are there more than two with each selection a different color?
When you enter the bootloader;
- your in hboot mode
- pressing the power button once will enter fastboot
- then you run the get token command
- get the code
- send it to htcdev
- get the file from email
- drop it in the adb folder " platform-tools "
- run the command to flash it then type " adb reboot fastboot " or press volume down 3 times and press power button.
If the bootloader has two options only on the main screen it should be either "fastboot / recovery" listed or "yes / no".
This should work, let me know how it goes.
If possible take a picture of your bootloader screen.
Also, if it says " Uboot"; its a fake HTC device.

The thing is, that when I'm trying to get into the bootloader by the official way (Power + vol down) I get a different screen from the "supoosed to be" Hboot screen it's written in chinese in other words, it's not the Hboot screen I saw on many tutorials, I have translated what is written on the chinese "hboot screen" and it appears to be a page to test if the components of the device are working properly and this is the only page I get from pressing vol down+ power,so I couldn't do anything but to enter the fastboot mode by the ADB command "ADB reboot bootloader" and only after that i get into the fastboot mode, but I got the same error while trying to get the identifier token..
I have attached a photo for the "chinese hboot" screen that appears when I press (vol down+power) and a photo for the error I get when I try to get the identifier token
I guess my device is either fake (hope not) or modified.. if it is modified is there anyway to install the HTC Hboot on it?
Thank you

The only thing I can recommend to you is that you try adb reboot fastboot and to make sure that fastboot is unchecked in the options of the device. If you cannot access the code after these options then I'm afraid to say your device is fake. Not only that but due to current limitations on this specific device, there is no way to flash a completely different bootloader. Besides; as for HTC - all are the same/similar in layout, just language modified.
You could try to click each one of those options and hopefully you'll come across the bootloader. You never know maybe that's just an extra menu; although, I highly doubt it.
Sorry

Did you solve the problem? I just bought a htc 816w and have the same problem now.
From looking at that second screen shot, it looks like the recovery, not fastboot. Fastboot should have a white background(at least it does on mine), while recovery has the dark background. Also, fastboot should have some info at the top of the screen and commands close to the middle, while recovery only at the top of the screen. Try the advice given above, go to settings-power and make sure Fast Boot is unchecked. Go to About in Settings, then Software Information, select More and tap on Build number until Devloper Options are enabled. In Developer Options, check the USB Debugging option. Now plug it into your PC and try the command
adb reboot bootloader
That should get you into fastboot. Then you can contnue with unlock commands.

ROOT Elephone S7 4gb on Windows 10x64 at last!

For those that, like me, could not get driver recognition on the latest Win 10 x64 no matter what you tried. And ,yes, using every tutorial I could find on this and two "other Forums". Odin failed to see my device (still can't) Cydia impactor allows rebooting into fastboot and D/L but doesn't connect in either alt. mode. Yes, drivers all removed and replaced in varying states (usbdeview, etc.).
But ADB/Fastboot works!
Make sure you have your adb/fastboot drivers installed universally (Check this Fabulous Forum)
Download device-specific TWRP - I used this one for the 4gb version - https://www.dropbox.com/s/b7u3k1mgpppxlyx/recovery.img?dl=0
L.Shift-R. click in the folder you downloaded to (Open Command Window Here) - "adb devices" (to make sure device registers) then - "adb reboot bootloader" gets you into fastboot. - "fastoot boot {your-recovery-name}.img"
I got a fully functional TOUCH CAPABLE TWRP. Which I proceeded to load this - https://www.dropbox.com/s/j1owqv7mjkdpo75/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip?dl=0 - and, VOILA! ROOT!!
I had similar issues with my laptop and drivers. Used a friend laptop in the end to "see" the phone and install twrp.

When I try to boot the recovery.img with fastboot it says that my OEM is locked. I check OEM unlock in developer options, then I do: adb reboot bootloader, then fastboot oem unlock. A warning appears saying to press VOLUME UP button to continue, voiding the warranty or VOLUME DOWN to go back. I try to press VOLUME UP and nothing happens... how did you do it?

Hi there, I have the same issue. No success
I found a way, instead of volume up, use the home button this worked for me.. however after I unlocked the OEM and flashed TWRP the phone didn't want to boot anymore. It was stuck on Elephone logo with warning: "Orange State: The phone has been unlocked and can't be trusted. Your device will boot in 5s", however it didn't boot and stayed like that for almost an hour. Had to flash back the stock firmware to boot. Tried 1 more time the procedure to root but again the same. Maybe I do something wrong?
stock fw flash back
Hi, please can you help me with how you flashed back the stock firmware?
I get an error message with twrp : invalid zip file format.
Thank you in advance!

I read somewhere the is a zip inside the update.zip & is that one that is flash able with twrp.
Have a look
During the main time I managed to flash the 0218 stock rom.
I still got the orange message but the phone finally boot. Then I just called the twrp recovery img via atb. I did nothing only touch the reboot in the twrp screen and since then "Orange status...." again.
May be the twrp recovery img is not the right one...
Bad command "fastoot boot {your-recovery-name}.img"
after OEM alow (informacion phone/compilacion number touch fast 9 times/access/alow oem)
fastboot oem unlock
"fastboot boot {your-recovery-name}.img" for me is fastboot boot recovery.img and all OK
bat still not working (phone not thrust unlocked bootloader cleaning data in 5..4..3..2..1.. and rebot)

How to wipe android partitons while NO access to Fastboot? PLZ help

Hi,
I have a unique problem. I cant go into fastboot. Yes, fastboot on my OPT is not a opltion.
I cant instal TWRP. I can't wipe the OS to flash a new one.
My question is this:
Is there a way to wipe the partitions on a android phone via windows or something?
This problem is created by me. Somehow I flash OOS over CM (??)
So when my phone boots (bootloader is unlocked) I will see 2 boot sequences wich prevents me from accesing the fastboot menu.
The solution I see is this: Enter TWRP --> Wipe all but USB-OTG ...
Anyway, I hope there is a android Einstein here because I'm at a loss..
Feel free to ask any questions and pls help me!

If you are getting two boot screens, please confirm if this is what you see in your first boot screen:
some text which goes like "Your device cannot be trusted etc etc. fastboot oem lock something something"
If yes, press the volume buttons at this screen, which will take you to an "Options menu"
This will have options to power off, restart, recovery, fastboot, back to previous page.
use volume down buttons to move selection to fastboot and press power button to select fastboot.
This will take you to bootloader.
Alternatively:
Is the device getting identified by your computer when connected?
If yes, and if you have adb tools installed, try this command, after connecting to computer and selecting usb configuration as transfer files
adb devices
The result of this should show your device
then type:
adb reboot bootloader
This should take you to your bootloader screen.

Thank you for your replay.
I have done all of this and i do understand how this works.
I have adb drivers installed, my computer does reconizes my phone and everything works even the reboot to bootloader via CMD. (adb devices, it shows, etc)
When my phone then tries to access the bootloader, it will show those messeges " this devices cant be trusted etc etc." afther 5 seconds again I see the the android logo (with a few lines of static on the bottom) (( that clearly is not right )) but it will show me again the same message " this devices cant be trusted etc etc" ... then it will just show me the battery icon and power precentage (this if I choose to boot to bootloader) or else it starts normally..
Clearly the flashing of CM failed. And with a sideload to install OxygenOS I can use it.. But it does prevents me from accessing the fastboot mode..
So Is there an alternative way to install TWRP without using the fastboot mode? Or is there an other way i can try to wipe the partitions inc. the os?
From there I know what to do.

So if you cannot boot to bootloader by pressing power and volume down at startup, you can try to enter recovery by pressing power and volume up. Then if it says no command hold the power button and press volume up one time. Now you should enter recovery. then from here you can try to enter bootloader.
Then flash your image via Miflash

Seems like there are other Posts with different problems at the beginning which are now facing the same problem as we do, after some flashing:

EASY FIX for this problem!...go again into fastboot mode....POWER button + Volume DOWN - in the command prompt on the PC type: fastboot oem unlock
system erases all the data and starts again had the same problem! i installed magisk to enable camera2pi, so today i got the mi mix 3 and i thought hmm lets lock the bootloader mi a2 lite and erase all the data so i can pass it further to my mum and she´ll get fresh updates! unfortunately, when i did fastboot oem lock, it said "system .blablabla..destroyed" ! Now everything workds fine again!
