Hey Guys,
First of all, sorry for my bad English.
Some time ago I bought a PX6 SOM cheaply and upgraded my MTCD-LM HU from PX5 to PX6.
It also works great so far.
Only my problem is, when a USB device is connected, the HU no longer goes into standby and does a cold start the next time it is started.
As soon as I remove the USB devices everything works as it should.
It doesn't matter which USB devices I connect, I've already tried it with a DAB receiver, with my smartphone and several USB sticks.
I noticed that the USB devices still have power for about 5-8 seconds after standby. I don't think it was the case with PX5.
Auto-sleep is of course activated in the settings.
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
Android: HAL9K 4.1.0 Android 9
MCU: MTCD-LM 3.42bd
greetings
Just to let you know that on my PX5 unit it’s the same, several seconds after the ACC signal is off USB’s have power.

Hi,
I was able to solve the problem with two tasker profiles:
Display Off -> Run Shell
Command: echo "0"> / sys / bus / usb / devices / 3-1 / authorized
Use Root
and
Display On -> Run Shell
Command: echo "1"> / sys / bus / usb / devices / 3-1 / authorized
Use Root
Works fine for me. You only need a Rom that allows whitelisting apps so that tasker is not killed in standby and "3-1" should be exchanged for the number from your internal USB hub.

Hello,
i use the Malaysk rom for several days now and is okay except the acc issue (waiting for the update).
I have a question : is there any way to make the unit to keep the usb port powered after the unit had shut down? The only solution i have right now is to modifi the usb cable to take the pins 1 and 4 and connect them (with power adapter) directly to the battery (The memory wire of the HU witch is always powered). I realy do not want to make this modification, so if someone has a ideea how to keep power to USB port all the time by software config method please let me know.

Out of curiosity - why do you want to do that?
The USB is still powered when the unit is in sleep mode, so you can increase the time it spends in sleep mode before it shuts down to 2 hours, which is the maximum.
After it has shut down, there is no software solution to keeping the USB port powered.
Hello,
Beacuase of the issues with the 3G dongles I choosed a mobile wifi hotspot. The problem is the device act's just like a phone (when it's own battery discharges it shut down it self. When it gets power to USB port again it goes in a battery charging mode (it does not start automatically)). That is why I want constant power to the USB port (to prevent the device to shut itself down).
Try this.

Hi there,
I recently bought a Hyundai Kona and I am trying
to connect a Wileyfox Swift 2 phone using android auto . Nothing happens . I downloaded the AA app and
set it up on my phone but when I plug it in to the car, the AA logo on the cars head unit doesn’t turn on. I tried an iPhone and it connected immediately.
Can anyone advise ? Please ?

Did you connect using original USB cable ?
Usually poor quality cables are cause problems with connectivity.

I would like to discuss this topic also. My wife has Kona 2018-2019 and I'm interesting in how to change or update this head unit software or install something like navigation in it thru android system or android phone?
Thanks for any help.
A little review of system : This KONA has android based software and all I can see in settings is version of software : os.eur.sop.v085.180528.dau_a and firmware is : os.eur.267.180113.micom.dl
Hi,
I installed this HU in my car a month ago and I still have not gotten it to work properly. My main problem is that the unit reboots randomly and does not turn on again.
I have tested the reset button and checked all the wiring. I have connected the 12V direct battery and the adapter for the steering wheel gives me the 12V ACC.
It seems that the radio goes into some form of protection until it suddenly decides to restart.
I really do not know what else to check. If I modify some parameter in the factory settings, it asks to restart, it only shuts down but does not turn on.
Yesterday afternoon it worked correctly but this morning it has not started.
any ideas?
These are my specs:
Car: Alfa Romeo 159 (2012 year)
HU: Xtrons TE706PL
MCU: MTCE_GS_V2.88_3
steering controls: Connects2 CTSAR002.2 + CTMULTILEAD.2 Patch Lead
I'm experiencing the same issues with my PX5 / CSN2 headunit from Klyde. Sometimes the HU won't come out of standby, the screen remaining black and buttons not reacting at all (but with LED backlight). If I had FM radio before turning off, it will start playing audio only in the background. Turning off the car engine triggers a restart, as if it entered some unrecoverable state.

First...update the rom and mcu to the latest available
Try
Second...disconnect the connects2 and use the unit without that canbus to ensure there is incompatibility issues. Try

Well, in my case the unit doens't start, nothing, no led, no sound... I think the problem is that the unit is not able to make a cold start after going into deep sleep

I can't update the frimware if the device doesn't start...
I'll try, but it is not easy because my car doesn't have 12V ACC so I need the connects interface to get the power.

To test, I would do this.. Connect the acc direct to battery.... The deck should turn on.. Reboot the deck while it's on. If it boots back up... Then the above poster is probably correct. Your module is not working correctly and not giving a proper acc signal.
The unit was connected with ACC wire connected to the Connects2 adapter. But yesterday I connected the unit directly to the car only the wires; ground, 12V battery and 12V ACC. The device started and worked fine. Turn off the car and five hours later the device didn't started. Today 20 hours later the device doesn't start either I tried to disconnected everything and connect again but the problem continue.
I think the problem is, the device is not able to do a cold boot after to turn off the radio. How to do a factory default reset? maybe this fix the problem.
I connected the device to direct battery and the first time worked but now it isn't able to start....
Hello ,
two weeks ago I bought that unit for my Mazda CX-5.
The problem i have is, when I start the car in the morning, no USB Port is available.
when I start the car later again, all ports can be used.
The seller said, it will be an inkompatible USB chip (my chip is GL850G) and I should replace the GL852G for the GL850G.
It´s no contact problem, I tested all possibilities.
Is it possible that the reason could be is a firmware problem.
My englisch is not very well, so please be answer easy for me.
thank you
Sven
Update to hal9k ROM, it's an hardware bug. The hal9k ROM resets the usb hub when HU boots.

Hello,
That's enough, and works?
Thank you

Hi
I have the same problem on my Dasaita!
the problem occurs only with the dab module connected to the cable with 2 usb, while the single USB cable, which I connected the 4G wi-fi router, always works.
If I will installed the hal9k ROM, could I fix the problem?
thanks
I purchased a Dasaita PX5 Android 8.0 headunt for a NISSAN X-Trail 2016 last August. Since autumn I've more or less weekly (sometimes daily) a big problem: the head unit restarts during nomal operation conditions and sometimes it even restarts up to 10 times!
After resetting the unit by pressing the reset button the system mostly runs fine. I think the main problem is the USB chip on board. I've read that there's an USB-chip issue. Dasaita suggests to change the chip by your own. Why they do not ship new updated boards?
Got my Fold 3 a few days ago. Got is setup and plugged it into my truc,k and my Android Auto unit reads "No Device'". My Note 10 works fine but not my new phone. My headunit is a Jensen (like I said, worked fined with my Note 10). The Fold3 works find in my Nissan (Pioneer head unit) and my Edge (factory Ford Sync).

I am no expert here, but when I had a similar issue. I believe it is because I transferred everything from my prior phone to the new one. I got the same error when trying to pair my phone with wireless Android Auto in my Kia K5. My solution was to goto Google Play Services and clear the cache there. For some reason that allowed my phone to be found by my reciever. and worked. I didn't experince this with my new ZF3 but I did when I got my Note 20 Ultra last year. So try clearing the cache in Google Play Services.
Hey so try clearing the cache in the Google Play Services app. This worked for me when I had a similar issue with my Kia K5 going from Note 9 to Note 20 Ultra. I got the same error no device. This was going to a wireless head unit for AA. I finally figureout how to clear the cache in the Google Play Services app. Then went back to connect and it worked. Try this. It may work for the ZF3. Thankfully I did not have the same issue going from the Note 20 Ultra to ZF3. But this is what I would have done.
Thanks, man. I did that and to no avail. My phone is still not being recognized by my truck. When I press "Android Auto" on my head unit, I still get the message "No Device"
I'd flip cables for sure. Then I'd go to your setting when plugged in and make sure it's not set to charge only on the phone. Should be adjustable from the notification on charging.
I've having some weird issues with android auto and my fold 3. I've noticed when connected to android auto I often loose cellular data and it switches from 5g/lte/edge and no service. If I disable android auto the phone operates normally. Anyone else seeing anything similar.
Just a thought for OP. Did you happen to try opening Android Auto app in phone and checking to see if truck is an added vehicle and add if not?
The cable seems the most viable option. There is no option to select or deselect charging only, and Android Auto is no longer separate app. It is built into the OS and automatically opens when the phone is plugged into a headunit and there are no options to manipulate. The pain is that the dash has be pulled out to change the cable so I'll have to research a certified cable.
Did you buy chance to to settings > advance settings > then use Android auto there? Not sure if a setting in that will help. When I open it it wantsto attempt to connect to vehicle

When I go there, I get the button to connect to a car, but when I plug the cable in, nothing happens and the head unti still displays no device. I'm thinking that I'm going to have to remove the dash and change the cable.

Ah well unfortunately don't no more than that, just knew I saw an android auto option in there. My car doesn't support wireless and haven't tried the wired part yet to see
Well, removed the dash and head unit and changed the cable. I tried a Belkin USB-C certifed cable and even the known working cable from my other truck, and got the same thing.
On the phone I get the notification to stop my truck and apply the parking brake to continue and on the head unit I still get the notice of "no device" when I press the screen for Android Auto. At this point, I'm hoping I don't have to change my head unit to get this setup to work.
Weird mine worked just fine.
Did you make sure everything was updated
Yeah. I called Jensen they say it's a phone problem, Samsung says it's a Jensen problem
Got an email from Jensen customer service. My HU uses a bypass to allow certain functions while my truck is moving. I installed the HU myself and also installed the bypass. Jensen engineers found that I need to disconnect the parking brake wire from the bypass and connect it to chassis ground. I did that and was able to connect. I'm so happy to be able to use my phone in my truck.
