Is there some way to do this without actually having to use the screen? Screen is not responding, i.e not taking any input. The screen itself works perfect.
USB otg cable + USB mouse works for me...
Also, don't make multiple threads the same. We all saw the first one.

Ive been trying to get an Wireless Xbox 360 controller working on my GNex. If i plug in the wireless receiver it stays off unless i hold the sync, but turns off after a few seconds. One time i rebooted with it plugged in and i was able to navigate the home screen for a bit then it died. I tried plugging it into a powered USB Hub and it worked great and I was able to play several levels of Dead Trigger with no issues.
It seems like the usb port isn't putting out enough power for this.
HDMI over MHL also flickers and cuts out frequently, is this also do to some weird power fluctuation? I always turn off LTE before i use MHL as i read that that interfere but that doesn't fix it.
Anyone know about these two problems? Are they related as i suspect? Is my device just defective?
So my screen is unresponsive but I've gotten the OTG to work with my mouse.
I've enabled debugging with my mouse, and when unplug the OTG and I plug into my computer it prompts me to verify it and I have to check another box.
Is there a work around this? Or another way I can pull my files to my computer.
Also, now my phone is starting to flickr and simulate input and its making the mouse really hard to use.
I have an Z1 Compact (D5503), where I have the problem, that the screen is totally wasted ... It doesn't respond to touch at all.
I'm able to power on, but I can't get past the initial lockscreen, as I can't even swipe.
Is there any way, that I can Reset to factory settings on this device?
I'm quite sure that USB Debugging is not enabled.
usb otg adapter + usb mouse should do the trick
Helllo
I want to restart the phone to factory settings to delete everything the problem is that my LCD display has been broken and I can not see anything in black for all the programs I am looking for usb debugging and I do not know how to turn it on when I see nothing
lcd???¿??¿?
ignoring that it has an amoled screen, what you can do is use an otg cable and a mouse, or do it by commands from the computer or if you see the screen, from the recovery
I do not see anything on the screen just black reacts when I push the swim button but I do not see anything so that the otg option does not help
try this

I'm currently trying to recover some data of my broken A50 (black screen). I wanted to activate USB-Debugging since I have an OTG cable lying around. Would someone with an OTG cable and a keyboard be so kind to map me the way to the dev mode and usb debugging options. (Win + N for drop down menu).
Would be much appreciated.

Did anyone ever help you with this? I have this exact issue A50. Black screen, no wifi, flying blind, only option is OTG keyboard... have a basic map I want to try, but no idea on how to get to the SETTINGS SCREEN via KEYBOARD on Android 9. Win + n supposedly for nav bar, but 9 requires a double pull to show the settings gear, and who knows how many tabs or arrows required to even select the gear? (All this in effort to get to USB debugging setting.)
