how to enable usb debugging on A5 when lcd display is broken - Samsung Galaxy A3, A5, A7 (2017) Questions & Answe

Helllo
I want to restart the phone to factory settings to delete everything the problem is that my LCD display has been broken and I can not see anything in black for all the programs I am looking for usb debugging and I do not know how to turn it on when I see nothing

lcd???¿??¿?
ignoring that it has an amoled screen, what you can do is use an otg cable and a mouse, or do it by commands from the computer or if you see the screen, from the recovery

I do not see anything on the screen just black reacts when I push the swim button but I do not see anything so that the otg option does not help

try this

Desire broken?

Hi,
The screen of my Desire was broken. It goes on, but the screen stays black with a little green line on top of the screen.
So I thought to check the used LCD and order a new LCD and fix my Desire. I used some tutorials to disassemble the device. After reading the LCD part, I reassemble the phone to check if his working. The screen goes on like before, but the vibration after pushing the power button doesn't work. When I connect the device to my Windows PC the charge led goes on and Windows sees a device. I can't come on the SD card and HTC Sync doesn't see a device. Probably this comes because normal in the interface I must check the UMS option before the SD card comes in Windows.
How can I check my device is working so I can to order a new LCD. I'm afraid to order a new LCD, but the phone is already dead en so the money is wasted.
Kind regard.
are you sure you connect vibration motor correctly, it has two tiny contacts, they neeed to sit properly on motherboard, try to take out bottom part and check it

Can you say where that vibration part is located? I've uses this websites for the steps:

May be there is another way to connect the device to check it's working properly. The problem with USB is that 'charge only' the default is.
see pictures attached...
did you tick ASK ME in settings/connect to pc?
another way to check UMS- boot to recovery and try it there and you can test keys there but you need to borrow screen again

thanks. I can't see anything wrong with the vibration item. It looks there are no flat cable or contact that got loose.
I was running ICS Aplha / beta custom rom for two days. I think that like all other ROM's the user must tick the USB option to see the SD card device in Windows. At the moment Windows sees an android device, but nothing more that that.
Problem is that the screen is completly black. So thicking USB option or recovery mode is no option, I can't see anything.
it has tiny legs on the back of motor... i stretch them a bit
you can boot into recovery and do it blind but you need to know your recovery layout (some video or screenshot of you recovery will help) to toggle usb storage in recovery
to boot in recovery is easy vol down + power wait about 30 sec vol down then power and wait for recovery to boot, then follow you recovery layout
great, i'm in the recovery and with this image I've set the phone into USB-MS mode
After that I can see the phone and SD content in Windows. Is this enough evidence to get confidence for ordering a new LCD screen?
The vibration device looks ok. I can't see any connector or flat cable that can be get loose.
if usb working and you can live without vibrating phone go ahead... I bought new screen just under £25

Try to do a pressure between display and down right on the main camera and try to wake up the phone, looks like you have BSD(Black Screen of Dead)
Few days ago i started havig almost the same problem, the phone rings for exemle but screen stays black. when i try to wake the phone via the top button capacitive buttons light up as usual but screen stays black. i have to reboot the phone by holding the power button for 10 secs and it works again, but the issue is now happening more frequently and it is annoying, is it some kind of hardware problem ?

How do I enable USB Debuging? (Broken Screen)

I recently broke my Note 2 screen , now it only displays a black screen.
I would like to use it on my PC since my touch screen is working....
My device is rooted with KingRoot but i have no idea how to enable USB Debugging....
It was once enabled but i disabled it after the root process. THAnks for your help!
You need to simply go to a Service Center and get that screen fixed. You cant turn screen mirroring on from settings because of your broken screen and that is required to use your screen on PC (You can blindly try and activate it, its hard to do though). Turning on USB debugging from PC is impossible.

Please Help: Backing up N5X - Broken Screen

So my screen is unresponsive but I've gotten the OTG to work with my mouse.
I've enabled debugging with my mouse, and when unplug the OTG and I plug into my computer it prompts me to verify it and I have to check another box.
Is there a work around this? Or another way I can pull my files to my computer.
Also, now my phone is starting to flickr and simulate input and its making the mouse really hard to use.

USB-Debugging with OTG keyboard

I'm currently trying to recover some data of my broken A50 (black screen). I wanted to activate USB-Debugging since I have an OTG cable lying around. Would someone with an OTG cable and a keyboard be so kind to map me the way to the dev mode and usb debugging options. (Win + N for drop down menu).
Would be much appreciated.

Did anyone ever help you with this? I have this exact issue A50. Black screen, no wifi, flying blind, only option is OTG keyboard... have a basic map I want to try, but no idea on how to get to the SETTINGS SCREEN via KEYBOARD on Android 9. Win + n supposedly for nav bar, but 9 requires a double pull to show the settings gear, and who knows how many tabs or arrows required to even select the gear? (All this in effort to get to USB debugging setting.)
