I have a wall charger from Baseus with a digital display that supports both USB-PD and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 on its type-C and type-A ports at 18 watts per port.
I have used a proper 60w compatible Baseus type-C to C cable, and a Qualcomm QC 3.0 compatible type-C to A Tronsmart cable to charge my A50 with that charger, but I can never get above 10 watts with the screen off, and the phone only charges at 5 watts when the screen is on. Same with the stock phone charger and cable.
I am on the July 2020 security patch and my model number is A505GN. Any advice would be very appreciated, as the abysmally slow charging speeds are my only problem with this phone.

Hi
When you charge using a non vooc charger like for example
Qualcomm Quick chargers
Samsung Adaptive fast chargers
with different types of usb a to usb c cables
1. What charge does it do, 5 volt 2 amp for 10 watts?
2. Can it choose different types of Volts and Amps or is it always one setting?
3. I have multiple Samsung Adaptive fast chargers, on charger it says 2 output modes
9.0 Volt , 1.67 Amp = 15.03 watt
5.0 Volt, 2.0 Amp = 10 watt
now will a usb a to usb c cable with these specs not be suffcient with the Samsung adaptive fast chargers?
• 480Mbit/s
• USB 2.0 Hi-speed
• USB PD Profile 1, 10W
Thanks for help
Thanks.
Can someone that has a one plus 3 check the vooc power charger for any output numbers volts and amps.
Thx
5V / 4A

i tried different chargers and cables, only with the op3 charger and cable you get dash...op3 charger + op2 cable no dash...op3 charger + any other cable no dash...any other charger + op3 cable no dash
When you dont get dash what volt and amps do you get?
5v 4amp is only with vooc charger and vooc cable.
It is important to know when purchasing non vooc cables for a non vooc charger so you purchase a cable that can handle the amp draw.
Oneplus dash is based on oppo vooc
Oppo vooc http://www.oppo.com/en/accessory-vooc-usb-cable
Look at output spec, would be intresting to know full dash spec.
Hi guys,
Just a simple question... Is Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 supported on the OnePlus 3?
I know there is Dash Charge (which is great), but I have a powerbank which supports Quick Charge 2.0...
I want to know if it wil charge faster than a regular 5V/1A USB port.
Thx!
Same problem here, would like to know this too. Can anyone with a OP3 try and let us know the different charging times with a normal charger, QC QC2.0 and Dash charger?
Sent from my LG-H955 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I don't have a Quick Charge charger, but with another charger the OP3 pulls around 1.5 A @ 5V = 7.5 W from it. This is the USB compliant amount i think.
I don't think that the OP3 supports any version of Quick Charge... But with a capable charger (non-Dash) it's pretty quick, too! In my car it gains fairly quickly, even though i'm navigation with google maps and i don't have a Dash-Charge car charger! With previous phones (LG G3 for example) the phone even LOST battery capacity while being plugged in!
Normal 5V 2.4A Charger: 1.5A @ 5V
5V 3A Quick Car Charger (for Nexus 5X/6p): 1.5A @ 5V
Quick Charge 2.0 Wall Charger: 1.5A @ 5V... you're beginning to get the idea...
Dash Charge Wall Charger: 3.5A @ 5V
And I tried a genuine 5V 1A iphone charger, 0.5A @ 5V

This.
Just did the test by myself with the 'Ampere' app.
Battery was at 55%.
Dash Charge: 3330 mA
Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 Charger: 1420 mA
PC USB Port: 380 mA
My Nexus 6 charges at 2050 mA when connected to the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 Charger.
Is it in some way possible to 'tweak' the OP3 so it can take 2000 mA when connected to a QC 2.0 charger?
I'm using ElementalX kernel btw.
OP3 is not quickcharge compatible so when connected to a quickcharge charger, the charger is in normal mode at 5V with a maximum of intensity that depend on the charger.
BUT the OP3 have only 3 charging step, one at 5V 0.5A, one at 5V 1.5A and then 5V 3.5A only if it's connected to a dash charger with a dash cable (or a oppo vooc with an adapter).
So for example, you connect to a 5V 1A charger, it will charge at 0.5V, like on a computer. But if it can draw 1.5A, it will do it but not above that unless a dash charger.
I tried many charger and it will not charge at another intensity.
I use a 'Dell AC Battery Charger Adapter USB-C470-ABSF Dell 45W 20V 2.25A' for charging my laptop. Can i also use this charger for the LG V20?
I'm using the one from my Asus Chromebook.
Somebody knows which QC 3.0 charger is compatible with the LG V20?
JuiceBitz in the UK...
Their v3.0 23W charging brick, along with their USB A-C cables work fine with my newly aquired V20.
My V20 charging doesn't slow down if I have a 'normal' USB 2 lead charging another device in the other slot either...
Sony UCH12W will work. I also use Ugreen Quick Charge 3.0 charger. It works fine
I have one Quick Charge 3.0 charger (poweradd) and one USB PD (iclever), and (according to systempanel2) they all charge at about the same rate. Max ~1 A while the screen in on (usually throttled at ~500 mA, I'm using a modified thermal config file), and ~3 A while the screen is off. So your 2.25 A charger should work fine, just won't be quite as fast as a QC 3.0 or PD charger.
I bought from Aliexpress about 15 charging cables for me and 2 of my friends ... all of us have S8+ phones
The cable's description shows 5V 5A cables for Huawei Mate 9 10 P10.
The issue is these cables are not FAST charging our phones as needed.
Are there any requirements for the fast charging cable other than the current rating?
My understanding is the Adaptive Fast Charging uses 9V 2A (18w) while the cables are rated 5V 5A (25w) which means the cable bought should be superior to what is needed.
Does anyone have any explanation why these cables are not charging fast charging (Adaptive Fast Charging)?
Yes, they went bad. I buy cables from five below, and usually the type c 6ft works out of box. Then if you drop the cable so many times or do something, it stops fast charging. Now sometimes it doesnt work out of the box. Idk the construction behined the fast charge cable but the oringal samsung and more expensive dont seem to have this issue
Hi all, I'm hoping that someone much smarter here can help me. **My phone is at 50% battery while conducting these tests. I've tried 4 different usb cables and 4 different vehicles and 4 different usb car plugs (1amp, 3amp 2.5amp 30w) my P6P only charges at 800ma but fluctuates wildly from 40ma to 400ma to 250ma to 800ma. I have turned off adaptive battery and the such. no joy. I don't recall this issue with A12. I'd really prefer to not have to factory reset...but......
PS I have no issues with same cables attached to my wall charge station, which charges 5 devices @1.5amp each. My P6P shows a steady 1500ma.
You aren't fast charging unless you have a PPS or PD charger with a Type-C cable. Doesn't matter which DC port or cable you use. Your car's USB ports are not fast.

I'm not talking about fast charging. I just need to get the 1.5amps I was getting before with the same setup as I was getting on A12 This is the charger I just bought hoping it would fix the sub 1amp charge rate I'm getting, Without getting 1 amp rate, my phone looses power while driving and using maps and such apps. This was not an issue with A12
Amps don't matter when you're still stuck at 5V.
It should work though. No point in buying a charger with only USB-A.
I had this issue Android 13 until Sept update even with USBC PD PPS 65W charger, phone was draining using maps. now no.
Also I do not believe that Pixel phone supports QC for quick charge so you might be lucky to get 1amp charging from USB A
