Hey guys, I've had a samsung Galaxy S20+ for a few months now and just this morning, it started lowering the audio volume by itself every 45secs to a minute. I haven't added any apps or gave anything audio permission. Anyone have any ideas as to why this keeps happening? Thanks in advance!!!
Search settings for media volume limit and see if that is turned on.

Very strange, I restarted my phone and it's back to normal.
I do believe it's a setting under battery optimization. Check and see if that's turned on.

It's been on optimized since I got it. No setting for any type of audio control in that menu. Restarting the phone fixed it.
This is the screen im talking about, im sure that was the issue. It (the volume limitation) does reset though if phone restarts.

At random times my volume gets automatically lowered. I am not sure what is causing this has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it?
Yea sometimes my notification volume its low....i think its when u get a message n u have the phone in ur pocket u might press the volume down button accidentally or something like that.
Tmo Galaxy S2
The overall volume of the phone's speaker for anything but music, even when turned to max, really seems too low to me. I have missed a number of phone calls and notifications because the volume was so low (on max volume).
Try this and see if it helps:
Go to Settings>Motion. Under Motion activation services try unchecking Turn Over. Mine was checked by default and I'm unchecking it now to see if that's part of the problem.

Hey guys,
I want my Nexus to wake up when I shake it. I have secure settings and other things with it work well, but I can't turn on the phone. I tried many different things... any tips welcome.
Go to Menu > Settings > Monitor > Display Off Monitoring > Select 'Yes' (or whatever is opposite to what you have on currently)
where? settings of tasker? secure setting (I don't see settings for it)? my phone? trying to find it..
ok so you mean in tasker... I have a bunch of options under display off monitoring. which one am I changing?

ah ha!
ok so I asked you two questions but I figured it out. it's the accelerator, which is what is checking to see if I'm shaking the scree. the option I had was set to "only when powered on" and I changed it to yes, so now the phone can checks for it with screen off.. now just to make sure it's not TOO sensitive so it doesn't just turn on in my pocket..

Yep, this could also be a bad idea in terms of battery, if you run the task the accelerometer is polling 24/7 (well at least when the phone is on) so it could lead to battery levels diminishing fairly quickly I'm pretty sure.

It's also not working 100%... hm. but mostly.
Got any ideas about how to activate the phone without the power button? something that would save battery?
this has happening to me lot now. I could be in the middle of any app and the touch screen will just stop working totally until i lock the screen with the power button and then unlock it.
Just a wild guess, do you have DT2W/DT2S enabled?

Yeah, I do have it enabled currently. Is it really that buggy?

I've experienced some issues with DT2W/S on other devices/roms, even when its a feature enabled by the kernel.
Try disabling it.
I'll be sure to try it the next time I have the issue.
bump
happening here as well. noticed the logo used for the "interruptions" settings menu pops up as an indicator at the top of the screen every time this happens. tried changing around the settings within interruptions with no luck. also have dt2w off. imgur . com/KK7riD

Hardware problem
Il you put two fingers and make some pressure between the front camera end the rear side of the phone, the screen becomes alive
Can someone tell me what I'm doing to cause my phone to randomly mute all notifications? It unmutes with a simple click up or down of the volume but isn't turned all the way down.
I've checked all the do not disturb settings and they are all off.

Was going to rage until I saw the username.
So I've been having this weird issue when I connect my Note 20 Ultra to Samsung Dex pad, the "Dance" ringtone starts playing, no apps are open, it's not even a ringtone I've selected for any of my apps, the only to stop it is to turn my phone off and then back on again.
Any ideas?

I found the issue, it was a setting in the Desktop hub app, "HDMI audio on startup" was enabled, once I turned it off, it stopped happening.
