So I bought my Evo in Nov '10, and 2 weeks ago it just died and didn't seem to have any power... I took it to Best Buy (I am paying for the ins there) and the guy was a complete **** but that is another story... I finally (after asking to speak to a manager) got them to try changing the battery out for a working one... Phone worked fine afterwards...
I called the parts replacement line and ordered a replacement battery, this one goes dead in like a day... The original battery would last (idle, no apps and a bunch of crap turned off with juice defender) for 2-3 days, this one goes dead in one day... I think I have a crap battery and need to order another one... Is there anyway to check the battery itself or the if phone may be charging it wrong? (and hopefully not have to deal with the idiots at best buy)
Next question...
Otterbox Commuter, Bought in march of this year after I dropped my phone for the first, and hopefully only time... Took it off for the first time at Best Buy (Geek Squad took it off) now there is a break from the bottom right of the "kickstand" to the rubber corner protector.... Has anyone had one break by being taking off once? It's only annoying because it catches on my pocket and the rubber flap that covers the micro-usb/micro-hdmi port wont stay closed...
Well ignore the Otterbox question... I called and asked them about the case... They are sending a new one...
Best customer service I have ever received and I didn't even buy it direct from them...
Nice I just ordered a Kraken . Not a otter box fan . Just my taste hope your new one holds up.
Maybe im just unlucky as hell,
I returned my first note ii purchase because its authenticity was seriously questionable.
I bought a new one at newegg for 600 during the post cyber monday sale. And i got it today, and I initially thought it was new since the samsung seal was there and everything. But once I opened it, i immediately noticed a few strange things for a "new" phone.
1. I immediately noticed considerable amounts of dust and particles on the screen, and saw some even stuck under the screen protector.
2. The screen protector and the back protector was not aligned with all the ports, and the back protector was peeling off.
3 battery compartment was open, not fully shut
4. There was a warranty from newegg in the box, which is kinda strange since they told me it was never opened...
So did Newegg accidentally send me a refurb or used one? I trust newegg enough to sell me a new one when i order a new one, but its just kinda strange to see these oddities... Should i call and ask? I think it might be possible that they messed up since it was hectic from all the sales and everything..
Always trust your gut.
I would send it back just to be sure.
What's the worst that could happen? Send you another refurb? Then pack it up and get a refund and shop for one elsewhere.

I bought an Anker battery a week ago and it just arrived. I'm trying to fit it in and it doesn't fit at all. It is too wide and the bottom sections don't align properly.
I got it from Amazon and I'm sure its a genuine battery because of that.
I just can't believe it doesn't fit. Has this happened to anybody else?
I'm extremely disappointed with this. I was planning on upgrading to an S5 in a few months and figured I'd probably buy a new Anker battey with it but I can't believe this one doesn't even fit my phone.
I've included pictures:

I think it's because it's 4400mAh, stock battery is 2100 so that one's going to be significantly larger. I'm pretty sure at that size they're supposed to come with a case that can house the battery with the phone.
Its definitely supposed to be bigger than the default battery but I checked videos online, it is supposed to snap into place just like the old battery. Extended batteries fit the same space but stick out farther so you need to use the provided case.
This battery DOES NOT line up with the phone along the bottom edge. It just doesn't. From Youtube videos, the batteries other people have line up and snap in. Because it doesn't actually fit into the battery slot, I can't even use the provided case.
It is very messed up and I'm just in disbelief because I can't find any record of any other person online with the same problem.
Contact Anker. I've heard their support is very good. It looks like you got a note 3 or galaxy S4 battery accidentally.

I wrote them an e-mail tonight after I posted this in the forum.
I just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy and doing something wrong, also wanted to know if anybody else ever had this issue because I can't find any record of that online.

Looks to me like a case of a mis-labeled item. I ordered the same battery about a year and a half ago and all was fine. Im sure Anker will sort it out for you, they have a great support staff.
Well no e-mail response unfortunately.
Going to have to call them.
Email support is unbelievably slow.
Takes more than 1 full day to get a response, takes like 2 full days just to have them ask me a question and for me to respond.
Just forgot about this thread and wanted to update.
Anker was nice over e-mail and gave me the option of a replacement or a refund.
I chose a full refund because I was planning on upgrading to a Galaxy S5 anyway which I now have.
I'm wondering if ZeroLemon will be making a battery case for the LG G6. I had the 10,000mAh for my Note 3, and love how long the battery lasts me.
They did manufacture battery cases for the G4 and the V20, but not the G5, so I'm worried they might not have a G6 one.
Or if other companies start making them, we can post updates in here as well.
I'm sure they will. They have been pretty active with extended batteries.
I got in touch with ZeroLemon over Facebook. Sadly, they said they don't plan to make a battery case for the G6, citing "technical difficulties".
I just wrote to Powerbear, and am awaiting a response.
Update: Response I got from Powerbear:
"We'll check into adding your requested unit as we continuously work on growing our product line."

It means NO, they won't do it. I'm currently just using Quick Charge 3.0 Powerbank, it charges full in one hour. But i will be looking for extended battery case with a kickstand. I don't like hanging powerbanks.

I'm remaining optimistic that PowerBear can produce one; they did one for the LG G5, whereas ZeroLemon was unable to. If PowerBear makes a battery case for the Galaxy S8 before the G6, that's when I'll lose hope lol. Only time will tell though.
So far, an Anker powerbank is serving me well.
What's the technical difficulties? I wish LG would copy Apple and release their own, they're so superior to power banks I bet they'd sell a ton.
Can they make a "wireless" charging battery case? Seems that would be a big seller.

I'm really enjoying my G6 after years of Samsung- Couldn't bear the curved screen gimmick. The battery life is ok, but I'd really love to have some way to extend the battery- I'm so used to a zerolemon 10000 battery on a note 4, I'm totally spoiled. Even a power case would be fine by me, t'would be nice if the usb c on something like that would have a passthrough, but this is my first "sealed" phone without a removable battery, so I'm clueless what kind of options even could potentially exist for phones like this...
Cheers!

Probably none mate. How many other waterproof phones you know of with a similar external battery as you describe?

I don't think a phone being water-resistant excludes manufacturers from producing extended battery cases. Sure, with removable batteries in previous generation phones, all you had to do to put your battery case was take off the back cover, remove stock battery, and slip extended battery in. But even with today's water-resistant phones where you're unable to disassemble the housing, there are still external battery cases that simply have the battery fitted inside the case itself.
Samsung Galaxy S8 (IP68, same water-resistance as LG G6) has extended battery cases produced by ZeroLemon and Power

iPhone 7 has IP67 water resistance. Multiple manufacturers produce extended battery cases for it.

Just got in touch with Zero Lemon and they said:
HI,
Thank you for the inquiry .
Yes we are working on the case but there is no release date foe the time being .
Once available we will update that details on our website and Facebook account .
Best Regards,
Joey
Yes we have a plan on it. They said this a week ago on facebook

I'm curious, why does ZeroLemon not make those glorious hard plastic skeletons anymore? The G3 model is spectacular! I'm using it as we speak! I'm sorely disappointed with the lazy G4 and V10 slip-on cases. My G3 is a tank! I never flinch when I drop the phone.
I sure an impressed with their G6 solution. I'll be considering this phone now, rather than only arriving to the V20. But still, they withdraw the superb skeletal design. Can someone please explain to me why?
I think there's another thread about this but yes it's available. Just ordered my last week. Hopefully will get it early this week.

It had to happen sooner or later...
I physically broke my phone. My jaw dropped when I closed the door on the van and it didn't. That was last Friday.
My N6 saw some action this past weekend :good:
Today, I received it's replacement. I'm impressed with the quality of packaging they sent this out in. The phone itself was in it's own box and was wrapped just like the original.
No charger or dongle. Didn't expect those though.
And, yay, the bootloader is unlocked!
Out of all the smarty-pants phones I've had, starting with the Galaxy Nexus on vzw, it was just a matter of time.
I don't usually buy extended warranties. I'm glad I did with this phone.
