I have purchased from Wonda Mobile Samsung S20+ 5G 128GB Unlocked. To be specific it is SM-G9860, i.e. Hong Kong version. I am wondering if there is any way to apply different firmware (where Snapdragon is used, for example U.S. version) and keep the device unlocked and fully functional as it is now - without rooting it and tripping KNOX?
And if not, will it make any difference if I will root the device? I don't see much of sense in KNOX anyway, really.
I reside in Central Europe, Slovak Republic. I am not interested in Samsung Pay as it is not supported over here.

Snapdragon Hong Kong only compatible with firmware China, and south America, Brazil e.t.c, at latest in s9+ is what happen and even for that you need a trick to install it, snapdragon USA and Canada is slightly different I think.

What do you mean? Like there is specific Snapdragon CPU just for Hong Kong? I doubt that, it would be just waste of money. As far as I know, Snapdragon CPU's are the same on all markets where they are sold. But somebody please do correct me if I am wrong here.
So the question still remains if there is any way of applying different market FW onto Snapdragon S20+ 5G.

No, práve to, že som skúšal zmazať aplikáciu, dáta, cache. A lognúť sa nanovo, ale nefungovalo to aj tak. Nerozumiem, že prečo. Podobne mi nejde ani otvoriť Reddit link v appke, ale musím hore v browseri kliknúť na ikonu Reddit. To som ale čítal, že je globálny problém. Fakt by som rád prešiel na S20+, ale je tam toľko problémov, ktoré na iPhone nemám, že si to neviem predstaviť momentálne.

The SoC is the same but configuration no, and if you try to put firmware American in Hong Kong it doesn't work. I talk by my s9+, o this new phones I don't know.
Hong Kong only China, and south America firmware. In my Hong Kong s9+ I put the Brazilian firmware for example.

the best way to determine the price for used devices is to look it up on ebay and compare the state of the device to the ones, sold there. i can tell you, that in germany, depending of the state of the device, the prices can vary from about 30-100euros.

this would require a dvb-t or dvb-h tuner plus antenna, so i dont think flashing this firmware would help anything.
Samsung should have aplied that tuner to every phone, i will not watch TV at the cellphone, but is frustrating that i bought mine already.

There is a multiformat decoder on the market, but its from Analog Devices. I doubt that Samsung uses this third party chipset but will use its own as they are specialized in ISDB-T. So i guess this handset will not decode DVB-H and will only be usable in South America and the Philippines.
I also guess they do this because TV usage is much higher in e.g. Brasil than anywhere in Europe. DVB-H was launched to much fanfare a couple of years ago but nobody uses it. Does any newly released handset have it any more? Some carriers offer streaming TV programs over their data network but there is just no demand for it.

I bought one from "Kimchi House" in Shum Shui Po, only thing is that it came with Hydrogen OS, but you can download the zip for Oxygen OS and "upgrade" from settings itself, pretty seamless and painless. Phone's in excellent condition and the guys there are good as well.

HKD$3260 (~USD$420), it is the A3000 version.
US and China get the A3000 version, and Eur/Asia get the A3003 version. I don't use LTE but it could work. Updated to Oxygen OS and everything works perfectly, even running custom ROMs with no problems.
EDIT: I'm sure other stores might have the A3003 version in HK, there are many shops in Shum Shui Po and Wan Chai that you can try.

Yes, three stations away via the MTR train. You look around Wan Chai Computer Center. Or try Golden Computer Center in Shum Shui Po (take the MTR).

from G4 in advance all new models in korean variants have no more KDZ link using this method.
To find KOR KDZ is more difficoult than other variants

i have some questions about this CN version ( apparently no global rom),
so the phone will be in chineese/english, is it possible to install french language, or i have to wait for a global rom and flash it ?
and when do you think this rom will be available ?
google services will be useable ?

it's first time i ordered on this site,
i checked reviews, it's not a scam, tax are included, you have to pay by IBAN transfert because by card you have at least 7 days of processing,
i sent the bank transfert yesterday, today they confirmed to me that payment is ok and they began processing the shippping by airplane.
for the tax law (tva) it's about you'r luck, for 500€ they can charge you about 100€, but it's not always the case.
normally we can change the rom to the global one when it'll be out, but in aliexpress i found one with global rom but its 200€ more expensive.
