after I'd buyed a U12+ from TW and was fine with it, I'd buyed a U19e which just 6 languages provided (5 Asian and English), want to know before if the U20 provide more (Android itself is spreaded in all languages). Did anyone have or had the chance to check this?
If it provide German, the order will be done 10 Seconds later!

Both, U12+ 128GB DualSIM and U19e 128GB at ebay in an UK Shop. The U12+ provide all normal languages (as intended from Google), but the U19e not (just English and 5 Asian), so I want to clearify it before buying it -but I'm searching since moth where to buy a U20 G5 white, but didn't found it -neither the white, nor the green one. Just the Desire 20 pro.
...well, same **** then U19e, just English and 5 asian languages. Today mine arrive (asked seller if it will have German language, he said "Yes") and I'm really pissed now!
I recently imported a U20 5G handset from Taiwan to UK via eBay and it came with English (US) plus the 5 Asia-region languages.
Running English (US) obviously isn't such a big deal for me as Gboard can be set to English (UK). For our German friends it is a little more inconvenient.
I guess HTC have made it clear this is a Taiwan only device for the moment hence the lack of choice. I hope they open up the phone to other markets as they have done with the recent Desire 20 Pro handset. I'm just glad it came with English of some sort as I was taking a gamble importing the handset (!)

I proceeded to install Morelocale2, and installed the usb drivers for HTC u20 on my laptop with windows 10 (which already had the drivers and ADB folder of the previous phones), that's it, htc u20 in Italian, perfect.

...if using morelocale via adb -will the phone make a reset, and the data will be lost? A very important information.
Well, I made a backup und tried it, and the answer is: No! Just make it as described in some avaiable describtions (also possible without rooting), and it works without device reset.

I live in Germany and bought a german MDA Pro from T-Mobile. Now I usually use english-software on any device I have, Windows, Mobile Phone and my HTC Universal. The only problem I have with any other ROM than a German one is the Keyboard-Symbol-Support.
With the German OS I can type an o and hit one time the "SYM" Key and get an ö which for example is very often used in Germany.
With international versions I have to hit SYM 3 to 4 times. :x
Or is there a way to change that?
I read somewhere her in the Forum where I can change the Keyboard-Layout, so that Z is Z and not Y and vice versa, but the problem with the german "Umlaute" is still there.
So typing with the Keyboard is really anoying. That's the reason why I'm stuck with the german T-Mobile 1.20 ROM although I would love to use a newer one from QTEK or IMATE...

ere is a file 'sym.txt' in the windows folder. You can edit this (best way to copy it to your desktop/laptop computer, adit and copy back to the xda) and you will be able to change the order of the different character as you wish.

Nevertheless my MDA Pro with the newest Orange Firmware is still VERY slow with NO extra program installed...

This is what they sent. Well I've tried using this ROM and I'm getting an 264 Error (I can't read the rest cause its in chinese but it seems from doing some research that it says it can't connect to the Device.) Even though i have it plug in with a USB cable and its at the tri-color screen and says USB.

I'm a Chinese user from Hong Kong and I'll try my best to help you out. Just curious, which part of China are you sending the Hermes devices to? Only Hong Kong people use Traditional Chinese, the rest of China use Simplified Chinese.
Are you flashing it with Windows XP or Windows Vista? Have you tried flashing from a microSD card? What are the devices branded as? HTC TyTN, Dopod 838pro, Softbank X01HT or something else? Did you flash HardSPL onto them before flashing the ROM you want?

They are going to the CDC in China. I flashed them with HardSPL and managed to get the ROM to load. Is there a keyboard I can load to them if they want to type in Simplified? In case you flashed CHT Rom, I suspect, simplified Chinese character set is not loaded at all. No matter what keyboard you use no way to show simplified characters, respectively the typing will be for traditional only.
There is a MS SIP for Chinese characters, but honestly I found it not that good as CE-Star. Dont have a link but believe you can find it on MS sites
There is another SIP named PlumSIP, which I use, but only the version for hardware keyboard. I found it very convenient. Search google and sure will find a link to dev page.
btw, I use english Rom with installed Chinese characters support - works very well for me - no probs with text, e-mails and surfing internet
If you can read chinese. go to this forum http://bbs.xbeta.cn there's a chinese rom for the hermes and has chinese read/write capability.
In this case, I suggest you go to the most popular PDA forum in the main land of China and the web site is bbs.pdafans.com. You can find all kinds of CHS roms for Hermes and most of them are very good.
I'm in China main land and I'm using Hermes as well, but I'm running WWE rom on my hermes as I prefer to official rom's I just replace the original file wince.nls with another one which Chinese is supported with and add Chinese fonts and tweak registry. As a result of all what I do, simply Chinese is supported very well in a WWE rom.

Hi, can you go into a little more detail about which replacement wince.nls you use and the other mods you do to increase your CHinese support? I currently run a wwe ROM with chinese fonts and input added by cab files (CE-Star sucks but it's all there is and I have no idea why there is nothing better when the market for something as good as the vista Chinese IME would be HUGE)

I'm a Traditional Chinese user so I can't help you with Simplified Chinese input right now.
I use WWE ROMs on my X01HT, replaced the wince.nls, installed "CHT_IME_QVGA_F.cab" ripped from a official ROM for Traditional Chinese input (Chu on/Changjie keyboard input, Handwriting recognition) and a 14MB Microsoft JhengHei Bold font. Now it is capable of writing Traditional Chinese and viewing both Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

Hey, I'm not sure if you have got this issue resolved. Here the following is what I usually do after a hard reset or flashing a new WWE ROM.
1. Replace with the original wince.nls file in \windows wiuth the one attached below. You can do this with resco file explorer or other app.
2.Copy the Chinese font file to \windows.

3.Implement a registry import for the fonts as attached file Reg Fonts.zip to get a good look.
4.Tweak the registry as following:
add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\FontLinkMethods=1(string)
Then Chinese performs perfect in a WWE ROM. And also you can choose Chinese PRC in Regional Setting page.

You should see the /windows folder with a file explorer, either the one in the ROM or the well known resco file explorer. But maybe you can not find the file wince.nls as it's hidden by default. You can unhidden all files with resco file explorer and then you can see it. Antually you don't need to see this file. Just put the wince.nls attached in /windows folder and press OK to replace the original file.

so the rom doesn't flash everything.... thing we have to wait till we have root access

The same here. Mine came with only English and Franch language. After fleshing nothing changed...I was looking for Italian language, but nothing has changed. WHY?

I exchanged some mails with HTC about this. The language that is shown by the phone relates to some internal ID of the phone (CID? IMEI?), not easily changed. The ROM only reads that info and chooses the languages that appear for selection.
My guess is that we need to root the phone first.
Either way, morelocale2 solves 99% of the problem.
Where did you buy your desire? Is it from polish distribution sources? I've bought mine about a week ago, and there is polish locale available (settings->lang and local..).
If there is an option to rip rom from the device, I can do it for u, but afaik there is no such option till desire is rooted, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I have only english and spanish! No other language available! I have searched in this Forum a lot of threads about the issue and I have seen there some other people who like to add various languge pack on their Lumia but I must to have an high-level techonolgy capabilities to make this!
I have seen there is a lot of unlock level for sending language packs in cab format and I'm boring reading pages and pages without solving this problem.
This is the question: I like to know how to add italian language to my Lumia 900 and unlock Internet Thetering. I'm not interested to operating system development because I'm not a technology expert. I don't any ATF box I don't know if it exist here in Italy. My phone is original, just unlocked with a code provied from Ebay and the Operating System version is 7.10.8779.8 and the firmware is 2175.2301.8779.12223.
I don't have upgraded the OS because I prefer wait some info about the language update. I have only downloaded the Windows Phone 7 BackupV1.6 but it doesn't work (it's very boring!) because an error appear: the installed ZuneWMDU (4.8.2345.0) version doesn't match with the tool version (4.8.2134.0). I have Zune 4.8 the last version available from his website.
I think every guide provided from you can help all people who have bought a Lumia from AT&T (I think 80% of people registered in this forum).

Edit: I have added the italian laguage .cab from the website in step by step from the first Operating System to my version. But nothing appear on the setting language section. I don't know if I must to reset the phone for working, I don't have maked any modify and the cabsender write the updates are sent to the phone! Any idea?
You must put all Italian language cabs to cabsender folder, all cabs 8779 and earlier. I added Russian and French language files with this method and all works fine.

I just tried and Italian language added in system local menu. I just copied this 6 files to cabsender folder, run "WP7 Update Cab Sender.bat" and press B.

I confirm you I have sent the cabs in this order and the cabsender program confirm me all the updates are ok. But I don't understand why the Italian don't appear into setting under "display language". Where is my error?
Maybe you need to reset phone then try again? But first backup your data.
I don't any data in this phone and I have reset the phone but nothing changed. I think it's impossible to add language pack on all AT&T Lumia 900 devices!

Hi, the error who appear into cab sender is 801800011 and the error who appear into the phone after updating is "Update unsuccesfull! Unfortunatly , we anren't unable to update your phone. Refer to Zune software..." etc.

I tryed to install the greek language on my lumia 900 att and i am getting an error messege update unsaccesfull i have tryed before with my htc mozart and it worked fine !

Hi All, my friend just bought a Huawei FIT five days ago in China and when we received it here, we can not change the OS language from Chinese language. We have tried to change the phone (Honor 6 Plus) operating system language but the whatch doesnt change it. Everything works fine but the OS language remains in Chinese. Please help to fix this issue.
Can you download software for that watch and use adb with it?
*IF* you can do that here is a tutorial for the Huawei watch 1 to change from Chinese to English ROM.

*IF* you can not download new software for the FIT watch and get an adb connection, then you probably have no way to do what you want.

I managed to change the language by changing my location on the huawei app. I bought it in spain, but selected UK on app as I wanted it in english.
