Random web page freezes (Samsung Keyboard, Spell Checking and Google Chrome) - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Have you noticed random web page freezes (around 10 seconds), when writing posts using Google Chrome with Samsung Keyboard, Spell Checking on? Not browser, just the web page.
I even noticed a couple of freezes when browsing through online stores, and I think it's related to a keyboard, because I brought it up when changing product quantity numbers.
Spell checking also appears to be broken. When word is underlined indicating there's spelling error, clicking word only shows empty box, this leads me to believe it's related to freezes.
If you experienced it, have you figured out a way to fix this?
When writing long posts, these occasional freezes can wreak chaos, because while page is frozen, any additional words you type and accidental edits you make, appear after page unfreezes. It also wastes time, because if you're editing something in the middle of the text, you can't continue writing, and have to wait for unfreeze.
Off-topic question:
When writing a long post, accidentally hitting back or home button can be upsetting - the post is gone. Can you make browser remember these posts, so you can return and continue writing? So far my solution is to select all and copy, which is tedious.
Thanks.

Update
I noticed Chrome freezes randomly even without opening Samsung keyboard, simply browsing the web and page freezes. I also thought it's not the browser but the web page, but opening tab switcher while the page is frozen and opening a new tab sometimes (when the page freezes randomly while browsing the web), freezes entire browser, after around 10 seconds browser unfreezes. Any fix suggestions or what can be causing this? Tried wiping cache, but didn't help, I don't think reinstall will help, but I'll try it after some backing up.
Try this test, browse, XDA for example, through Chrome on your S20 devices for a weak, no PC or other devices or apps, write posts, etc, and report your results here. I also don't have any ad-blocking/ad-free, so to reproduce this enable ads as well.
Also, try using it with Samsung keyboard to maybe make problem more reproducible. Enable spell checking in keyboard settings, so words become underlined. Also enable dark mode.
I'm worried maybe it's RAM? Or SSD?
Hope not.. * sigh *
Edit
Searched the web more thoroughly this time, and apparently this is a big issue. Google search: s20 chrome freezing.
Some think it's related to 120 Hz mode, but then report it's freezing on 60 Hz as well, so seems like not refresh rate related. People even report this freezing occurs on Android system WebView powered apps.
No fix yet.

Site Unresponsive

Anyone else getting this? It happens at random when loading a page (sometimes main, but anywhere, even after "Preview Post") the site will pretty much lock my browser's tab. If I'm lucky it'll time out with an error and I can kill the page then reload, but it's very irritating, and I can't troubleshoot it 'cause by the time I know something's happened, that tab is useless.
This happens on Chrome in OS-X (Mountain Lion), Windows 7, and Android, as well as Safari (haven't tried it on IE). It seems like a site-script gone haywire. Please note that I have absolutely no plugins on Safari, and it still locks.
Post these problems here:

It happens momentarily when the site is being re-indexed or some maintenance..

After 4.3 update Internet & Display issues

So I was a first day adopter, no biggie I thought. My attitude is changing on this every day now. It seems like my internet (stock browser) keeps kicking off with the "Unfortunately..." error. I'll be browsing and it pops up. Once it closes down I select the internet again and it seems to work and reloads the page but then it craps out and errors again and clears the cache. This is getting annoying.
Then there is the display. I have a few icons and the google now/search bar that keep going static looking (like bad reception on a tv). I have to flip the rotation of the screen to get them to display correctly again.
Anyone else having this problem?
I forgot to mention that I've done all the resets, including taking out the battery.

xda VERY slow loading

I've noticed xda takes a long time to open and change pages in my browser (Chrome). It frequently times out and gives me an error message. Sometimes I can push it to finish opening by pressing F5 (reload). Other times I have to close it and open again. This happens FREQUENTLY. I have also noticed several video ads that run automatically in multiple windows. I can pause one of them at a time by clicking on it, but of course, this doesn't help with the slow loading problem.
Is there any way to opt out of these videos (one seems to show women in sportswear making sushi) or just shut them off? I suspect that this is the problem.
Its been happening to me too, I just came to this thread to report this. I have an adblock so not sure about the ad but Its talking way longer time to load and sometimes i get error that unable to reach website.
I am using safari on mac.
Thanks

Mate, consider the fact XDA is currently frequented from thousands and thousands people. This could mean - in some cases - their servers could be sometimes overloaded, producing the annoyances you experienced.
This was caused by a bad DNS server - it is all fixed up now so your speed should be fine. Closing this thread, for any issues in the future please visit the XDA issues thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987254

Slight pauses/stalls noticed while typing or scrolling.

It seems to be noticed mostly with keyboard. And never lasts more than a second or 2 at most and then starts working again. It's such a short pause it's hard to notice unless you are really interacting with the device a lot for awhile like typing a really long message or doing a lot of scrolling. Could easily never be noticed since the pauses are rare and only a second or maybe two and then it's back to normal. I suspect a real update that isn't one of these patches with maybe some kernel optimizations and CPU optimizations will fix it as it seems to be related to something with the CPU or GPU tuning maybe even.
Anyhow if anyone else is noticing such a thing please reply and confirm I'm not alone....it's not biggie, but if I am doing a lot of texting it does become more apparent and annoying...rarely notice it just scrolling on a web page as I read as I probably miss most of the pauses as they happen easier than when doing a lot of typing...basically disrupts flow less then.
I should add the keyboard pauses are pretty much identical whether I use Gboard or swiftkey. Pretty sure any will do it as I get exact same pausing when scrolling around web pages.
I have to add that this gets more annoying the more I encounter it. I suppose it's about once per 500-1000 characters or so...but pretty random so maybe a lot more or less. Just not rare enough to no annoy a few times a day if you are sending lots of messages!
Guess I am the only one noticing this? I hadn't started fresh from the get go....I did bring over all the things from a Mate 9...settings and apps and data and all...but doesn't seem related to any app or anything in particular. Just minutia I think I have noticed in the custom ROM realm that can happen if you get a kernel that isn't optimized well. Somehow guessing it will be gone next update...but L29 first real major optimization update seems to be slow to come. Any word on official Euro launches anywhere? I could see a majore L29 update push setup for something like that when it happens.
Count me in. Typing with swiftkey is better but still got typing issue here and there
Swiftkey is doing same things and so does scrolling...jist more rare with scrolling seems most common in the Google messenger app. I may resest after update...but if my case is unique I figure it's just related to me always restoring messages and such in some apps even if I start fresh. No reason that shouldn't work though. Had always worked on Mate 9.

I don't. Only reason some of that restored this time around was due to the Huawei device migration regime. To me that should work if it's on offer...even if you skip at generation like I did from 9 to 20. It went off without a hitch with only annoyance being it rewrote the pictures and other documents to the 20 X with a new last modified date of when the copy was happen rather than like when picture was taken or last modified. It's still in metadata for library type browsers...but I can't stand the Apple style library browsing regime for some types of files and documents.
Anyhow there is no reason the google messages app should have keyboard interrupting like I am seeing. I have seen chrome stall it's scrolling in similar short pause sort of way also though and it has started fresh. So have to assume it's a combo of things that are partially some lack of optimization in this latest L29 build. Really noticing as I write this it's not happening here...so it's also what app you are typing in specific even. May try the stock messenger and reset messages as I do andaybe return later and see if that helps.
I mostly got this issue with Facebook Messenger, sometime in forum post

Freezing browser input

I am using Opera as my browser and the OS is 10.0.16.HD65AA. Often when I start typing a long post into an edit window of Opera the input frezzes. That is I am still typing on a GBord, it shows me suggestions for misspelled words, I can backspace and I see text changing in the keyboard's suggestion row, but... text in the text input field is not updating.
I have to wait around 10 seconds for it to unfreeze and update, often I have to click somewhere in the middle of the earlier writen text to force update within the same 10 seconds. I have already tried to switch off non-essential options of gboard like spell checking to no avail.
This is not new, I remember I had the same on my previous Pixel. It just stopped to happen at some point, I just don't remember what has triggered the change. Any leads maybe? Am I alone with the problem?
Does your whole phone freeze or only the browser?
I have a similar problem with Vivaldi, I normally just switch to the homescreen and back to the browser to unfreeze it immadietly.
It probably is problem with the app not the phone, you could try testing a different browser Firefox/Kiwi for example.

Not even a browser, I can still scroll the page. That is only input text field doesn't update.
You should test a different browser just to isolate the cause, you could also try to use a different keyboard app swiftkey for example and see if the issue persists.

This defeats both the purpose and the experiment. But I have tried it. Using any other browser is simply a nightmare obscuring the initial problem: all that panning and scrolling, random moving of input controls etc basically forces mistypes which is the way to unfreeze Opera in the first place. Honestly I don't know how people are using other browsers on Android if they have to write texts there.
Anyhow, the same problem exists in FF and Chrome. It is just not the biggest of their problems, so bothers less.
The main point here: I really had the same issue on Pixel and it has disappeared somehow, I don't remember how unfortunately. So I know it is possible to get rid of it. My question was: probably someone knows how.
Problem is solved with Android 11 FW.
