Hello, there. I'm on Paranoid Android Quartz 3 and just want to update to Quartz 4, but I encountered some issues. As soon as the download finishes and I tap "Restart and install" it doesn't reboot at all. Instead, it keeps checking for new updates. I tried rebooting, wiping Cache, Dalvik Cache and unrooting my phone, but nothing works. Can somebody help me to find the reason and how to eventually fix this? Thanks.

I had the same problem so I updated it manually:
-Download the zip from the site
-Install the zip from recovery mode
-Wipe cache and Dalvik cache
that's it! enjoy!
if you go to the paranoid android update again it will still say that the quartz 4 update is still available but you already have it xd you can see it on Settings -> About phone -> Android version, so just ignore that and let's wait until the PA team fixes that issue

I have recently installed the new stable version of CM10 that was released today. The rom seems to be working fine but i cannot for the life of me get the gapps to install.
here are the steps I have followed to do a FULL CLEAN wipe.
Phone being used: S3 1747 att / Carrier:Bell
Rom=cm-10.0.0-d2att.zip
Gapps=gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
CWM= d2att 6.0.1.4 touch
1- Boot into recovery
2- Wipe cache
3- Under advanced wipe dalvik cache / battery stats
4- Under mounts: format system, data, and cache
5- Flash the ROM's zip file
6- Flash the gapps zip file
7- Reboot
This has always worked for me and i have no idea why the Gapps will not instal. Does anyone have any idea why this might be? Ive tried 3 times now. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: forgot to mention, the actual install within Clockwork recovery goes fine but when I boot into the rom and check my apps, the gapps are not present. Sorry for any confusion.
Check to make sure signature verification isn't turned off. If it continues, try twrp recovery (to rule out a recovery issue).
Thanks for the quick reply!
I turned signature checking on in ClockWorkMod, Reflashed gapps, wiped cache, dalvik cache and fixed permissions. Still does not work.
I then installed TWRP Recovery (latest version for d2att) Factory reset, Wiped cache, Wiped System, Wiped Dalvik. Installed ROM then Gapps both with signature verification turned on. Still no Gapps. Any ideas?
Also tried going back into TWRP, wiped cache, wiped dalvik and fixed permissions. Still no Gapps.
Where did you dl them from? i would try dl'ing again from a different place.
Downloaded directly from this page: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/wiki/Latest_Version/Google_Apps
Direct link: http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
Going to try:

and then

Will report back soon. Thanks again!
I tried many different links including the ones posted above and this still doesnt work. I also got curious and flashed a few older nightly builds mainly:
cm-10-20121110-NIGHTLY-d2att
cm-10-20121111-NIGHTLY-d2att
cm-10-20121112-NIGHTLY-d2att
and gapps does not work on any of them. There has to be something im doing wrong but i cannot for the life of me figure it out. Im not sure what to try next. Any suggestions?
EDIT: wait a minute... what apps does the gapps package include by default now?
EDIT2: GOOD LORD. I feel so stupid. I was under the impression that navigation, maps the new camera app was part of the 201210 gapps. I somehow forgot that recently I installed the 4.2 leaked apps which came with all the new goodies. Jesus lol. I also remember that installing the 4.2 apps made me lose the launcher options in cm10 settings which is why I have gotten rid of them. I guess this problem is now solved lol
Haha, well normally GAPPS don't include much. Just playstore, voice search (google now) and some other apps I don't remember. Not many though.

I was having problems flashing MIUI due to inconsistent "how to flash" here on the forum.
Then I followed this and it never fails
Boot into TWRP
1. Wipe data
2. Wipe cache
3. Wipe dalvik
4. Wipe system
5. Wipe custom
Flash MIUI
This seems to work every time for me.

Can't get it to work.
Hallo together,
I cant install PA.
I always get stick at the moving circles. What do I do wrong?
I have a Moto G (screenshots).
I tried several times with these:
pa_falcon-4.4-RC1-20140610
pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.3-20140608-signed
I do it like this with philz_touch_6.26.6-falcon-Recovery:
Wipe System, Data, Cache, and Dalvik Cache -> Flash ROM -> Flash GAPPS
What do i do wrong?

You should ask in your device forum because it could be a problem with the specific build for your device. We don't officially support anything that isn't a Nexus so you are running a legacy build.

Try cleaning the cache and dalvik after installing each zip. This usually works on my friends phones when they get stuck on the boot screen when flashing a new ROM.
Hope this helps
So I installed the cm 13 nightly by ota from the 12.1 one and I flashed supersu without doing anything i.e. wipe data, wipe cache. and now its bootlooped what do I do now?:crying::crying::crying:
Hey there! I seem to have faced a similar error on my ZenFone too. I fixed it by doing a clean wipe of data, dalvik cache, cache and system.
After that, I flashed the latest CyanogenMod ROM for my device immediately followed by the latest GApps from the OpenGAppsProject and SuperSU 2.65. After that it takes around 3-7 minutes and then enters the "Optimizing Apps" page. Hopefully I helped you!
So, here I am, I received OTA update from update application for Open beta 12 and the update failed, so I downloaded the rom on Oneplus.net tried to install it with TWRP from usb otg, now when I try to boot on system, I only see the two white dots rotating around the red dot for hours.
Did you wipe cache/dalvik after flashing? If not, dirty flash again and wipe.
Did you root after flashing? If so, what did you root with? (older versions of SuperSU will cause endless boot)
If all else fails, clean flash OB12 again.
I think recommended steps are
1. Factory reset
2. Flash open beta 12 firmware
3. Flash lineage 03/09/2017
4. GAPPS if required
5. wipe cache/dalvik
For me it worked without factory reset.

Otas will always fail with TWRP. Wipe system and reflash full rom. If that doesn't work, clean flash ( wipe data, system, dalvik, and cache) then flash system and restore data. Also use TWRP 3.0.4-1.
