for android 9 yes
you should unlock the bootloader and flash a custom recovery then root the phone with magisk, install edxposed manager apk and from magisk install Riru (riru core) and install riru - edxposed and you are good
not for Android 10?

all the roms i tested so far (about 20) are based on android10 and i install xposed no problem
if you are not sure of an information = don't answer
to everyone :
just keep in mind that the methode changed from the old 4.4.4 apk ...
this is how it work now :
unlock bootloader
install twrp
flash magisk
boot into rom
open magisk manager and go module
install riru core and riru EDxposed
reboot
install EDxposed manager apk
done

Not Done. It tells me to upgrade Edexposed, leads me to GitHub where there is no link for it.

Yes it perfectly working in miui 10 ROM but if u want magsik hide u have to active fingerprint using terminal emulator

I am using magisk 16.3, it have not any problem
With dev 8.6.21 can use magisk 16.4
Could you elaborate the requirement of safetynet and magisk hide? I'm a tyro here.

Usually the only reason why magisk SafetyNET fails is that Xposed is installed in SYSTEM or in SYSTEM-LESS mode. If you want to pass SafetyNET, you have to remove xposed from the device itself, bc xposed is a framework modification and the framework is included in the SYSTEM, any modification of it would trigger SafetyNET Fingerprint check. Just like rooting a Samsung and triggering Knox, only safteynet fail can be reversed unlike Knox.

you can have xposed, but you need custom recovery to install magisk, then proceed to install edxposed module through magisk (riru-core, riru-edxposed, edxposed installer)

I think that this works only for global devices and not Chinese devices and we should say it everyone we post something like this, because it may be misleading for Chinese device users.

I´ve tried on Miui 11 Android 10 Indonesian variant with the steps on this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/Mi-9/how-to/xposed-how-to-edxposed-miui-11-t3979315 but it's showing stopped services
I have the European version (still Android 9). Magisk 20 and EdExposed seem to work flawlessly.

Now everything is working perefectly

I have a OnePlus 5T with unlocked bootloader, TWRP and Magisk v20.1, running stock OOS 9.0.9 with Franco Kernel.
Can I safely install Riru-Core and Riru-EdXposed to try some Xposed modules? If yes can I do it via Magisk Manager or is better to flash them in TWRP?

Do it via Magisk Manager to be more safe so if anything goes wrong you can easily turn off the module or uninstall it.

yes, but use 0.4.5.1 SandHook, not 0.4.6.0.

I solved the issue. I'm on android 10 0.4.6.0 yahfa magisk 20.1 custom built for android 10 and it works. Had to install riru 19.5 as 19.6 didn't work

make sure lsposed is activated
don't check all apps, check only "system framework" and the app you want to spoof
(some modules need also "systemUI")
