Hi,
My phone model is S4 mini DUOS (GT-I9192). I have several problems with new KitKat version. I'm sure you have answers for it. Please help me to solve these problems.
When I updated my device with INU (India) version and if I used screen lock method (PIN, Password, Pattern) I can't use Select SIM (Prefered SIM > Voice Call > Ask always) for any call.
When I update my device with SER (Rusia) version, my contacts list items are display as wrong way (last name as first and first name as last).
INU version has Sinhala language and can I download it for SER version ?
I can't install zip file because no any option under recovery mode (Volume Up+Home+Power). Therefore I can't taste S5 Boot Animation Screen and S5 Music Player.
Hope you will reply me with positive answers.
Have a nice day.
Thanks.
its in contacts app settings i guess
Have you tried SilviuMik rom? I have installed his Russia rom..
[GT-I9192]-[ROM][Odin]Galaxy S4 Mini Duos 4.4.2 KitKat TouchWiz Rom 30/07/2014
I checked your 2 problems and no problem with me.
The contacts problem you can configure it to show last name or first name in contacts configuration.

You can change it easily in the contact list settings...
And maybe you should install a custom recovery...
As i was Searching Many Threads to use my g928i from australia telstra in india with reliance jio 4g and i was not able to find any so i decided to make this thread to guide people how to enable volte in foreign devices to make 4g calls !!
Disclaimer: The usual
Use at your own risk, I won't be responsible for any damages caused to your Transformer or to yourself.
In most cases if something breaks, flashing a rom on top should fix it.
first check if your 4g enabled phone supports indian 4g bands which are 1800mhz and 2300mhz.
Download any indian rom for ex: G928GDDU2BPH2_ODD2BPF1_India_6.0.1.zip
Flash it with odin
after flashing check if you have volte enabled , just put your sim card and try to call a number if it does thats good if dont then
follow the steps below !!
root your phone which is now g928g with cf auto root
install es file explorer
browse to device system/csc
in this folder you will find a folder named ins or inu open it
go to system/csc in the ins folder
copy the other.xml file from this folder
now come back and paste others.xml in device/system/csc folder overwrite the existing file
now restart your phone and voila !!!!! Your device is now volte enabled and can make voice calls on lte network
This can also be used with other devices as s6,s6 edge you just have to check the configuration of the two phone to which you are debranding are same.
Will this work for g9287c I ask cause it is dual sim

Have you tried installing a location spoofing application, and using the setting in Developer options to point your location services to pull it's current location information from said application?
use forum search ?

Yes I've done forum search and other than the UI roll out, there is nothing on having a US phone in a central American country while trying to get a US version of said beta.

I've tried running a VPN, I've tried changing my address in my Samsung account to a US address. Haven't tried going through dev options so I'll check that out next.
Flash the beta zip provided in the mentionned thread, buy a US sim card or root your phone to spoof to a US sim card.

No active mobile plan needed. An old inactive sim card will do the trick!
You have to be on tmobile csc + have inserted a tmobil sim card to be able to register to the beta.
Be careful changing csc by insering another sim card could force wipe the device!
And a last important thing, the beta recruitement has stopped at least in Korea. No infos for US
