Oxygen OS seems to be the only one giving me perfect implementation of VOLTE on JIO network in India. By perfect implementation I mean:
1. No need to install their app to make voice calls work.
2. Calls do not get disabled when connected to other WIFI networks.
On LineageOS 14.1 what I experienced was:
1. Had to install their Jio4GVoice app to make calling work (no big deal, I can live with that).
2. If I connect to a WiFi network (need to often do that at work), calling from this 4G SIM seems gets disabled. I can no longer even receive calls.
Has anyone tried various combinations. Could you share your experience. I don't like being stuck to OxygenOS but currently that's the only one working perfectly.
Here in the US, Volte is not only important to me but so is wifi calling or Vowifi. Both of these are implemented in the stock OOS rom. Until these features are offered in a custom rom, I can't switch as there are areas in my home that have poor network reception and wifi calling is necessary.
So it seems the alternatives like LineageOS or AOSP etc are lacking in VOWiFi.

OOS 4.0.2 is perfect. Lol I can even switch mobile data off and voice calls still works. Best volte implementation yet.

True.. They have this patch in the redmi note 3 section which enables volte on custom roms for it so you can use the stock dialer.. Not sure if it'd work on the op3 though..

Nothing to worry about if you live in Spain where only s7 edge is supported lol

Managed to get it working.. All I did was flash an OOS ROM (experience), was using it for a while I guess you need to make a calls and send SMS, then clean wipe and flash aosip.. Calls and sms work now with or without WiFi [emoji122] [emoji119]

I'm on Android 7.0 official, no root, no bootloader unlocked. I've Reliance Jio (which btw is LTE only) network. I can use internet fine on LTE but, calls doesn't work. I've enabled LTE enhanced mode. I also checked the apns. To place calls I've to use their 3rd party app which is pretty annoying. Any help?

I go back and forth from India and US so I really need this to work with Jio LTE and VOLTE in India. Its listed on various sites as being compatible. Did you ever figure out why your phone wasn't getting VOLTE?
Not sure why it isn't working for you. When Jio was launched late last year, I use it for a month Nov-dec 2016 and it worked fine. Tried it again in Feb 2017 for a week and it was fine.
Are you using the stock launcher and dialer? The dialer had worked for me without any issue without installing any 3rd party dialer.
jio is woeking fine in robin i have tested it in delhi, nainital etc..
Jio is working on most of the custom roms and flawless on stock rom..
I just switched back to T-Mobile. My phone is fine on WiFi calling (HTC 10) but my wife's phone can't access it. She doesn't like me touching her phone often so it's currently on MM using Resurrection Remix.
Can it be done on this phone? I know a "stock-like" ROM had to be used on my HTC so can it be done on an OxygenOS based ROM? Can it be done on a non-Oxygen OS based ROM?
Thanks!
I start to wonder if T-Mobile whitelists by IMEI. It does NOT work on OnePlus 3 AFAIK

Damn can anyone confirm? The OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T are basically the same phone yet the 3T works and the 3 doesn't out of the box. It's not the end of the world but it is annoying.
T-Mobile wifi calling works for me on OP3. I'm running FreedomOS 2.8.
One caveat, I don't get wifi calling when I connect to my office's wifi. I get it everywhere else.

First of all, this feature is Sim dependent, so if you are on a plan that does not offer that feature, you can't get it. Next the room you are using has to support this feature. Not all do. I am using an AOSP room (7.1.2) and I am able to use this feature.

Yes I have the service I'm not that stupid. I'm using it on my line and all lines have the same service. I'm asking which ROMs for the OP3 (non T) model support wifi calling.

ASOP ROMS, not LOS, such as RR.
I flashed freedom os works with WiFi calling. However, I noticed it's the only rom that lists it as passing safety net (which is what the wifi calling and whatnot needs). I didn't both with the other roms but are you sure the other roms will work with T mobile WiFi calling?

You can use virtually any AOSP (Pure Nexus. AOSP extended, Phoenix AOSP Extended) for WiFi calling. They all have the feature. If you use Magisck, it will also pass safety net. Just enable hide in Magisck settings and disable adb settings in developer options.

Just installed Phoenix no go for T-Mobile Wifi calling. I have access to SIP settings but nothing to enable T-Mobile's Wifi service in the US. Am I stuck with Freedom OS only?

I did and it doesn't enable. I tested by enabling airplane mode, then enable wifi, pick wifi preferred. Nothing happens. I tried Phoenix and AOSP Extended.
This was after a full format...
Works for me. I don't know what to say.

T-Mobile wifi calling works in the USA on either of those roms?
Sent from my HTC 10 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I told you they do and if I could attach a screenshot, you would be able to see. BTW, I live in San Diego.
Many retail/unlock mobiles have "Wifi Calling" function but not any menu entry to enable , The APP can check the hidden function and enable it if can use.

Just to weigh in here, I can confirm that WiFi calling on T-Mobile works for me on my OnePlus 3 (Asia/Europe model, no US LTE bands) running on a nougat based custom ROM. I do have Magisk installed with SafetyNet working.
I tried many ROMs including Pixel Experience in which LTE not working but Volte Works. Is there a way to fix this problem? Help. And just want to know what Roms are you on?
VoLTE as the name suggests work over LTE, so it should be working.
I'm using RR 6.2.0 and 4G VoLTE with video calling is fine.
I just tried LineageOS 17 and 18 for my ATT M9, but since they don't support calls over LTE or wifi calling they make the phone practically unusable as a phone. Are there any similar ROMs that support that feature? I don't generally see it listed as a feature on the ROM threads here.

VoLTE might work on LOS 18.1, but I don't know for sure. I just asked here -- let's see if anyone knows: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...neageos-18-1-unofficial.4199175/post-86961965
