Sound distortion noticed it on calls when using the loud speaker. - Redmi Note 8 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello. When talking the loudspeaker (not every time) there is such a strange clicking sound and a little crackling, and passes after a while. Today I observed, but it is related to the update to Android 10. The problem does not occur when listening to music. It is only in the process of talking in speaker mode, so this is probably not the fault of the equipment. When I bought the phone there was no problem. Then a dozen updates jumped in and during conversations on the speaker some crackling, gurgling, snapping. When the speaker mode is turned off, the call quality is OK (no glitches). When listening to music, it is also OK. I read on the web and a lot of people noted a similar problem. I would like advice.

MIUI Global 11.0.3
Stable 11.0.3.0(QGGEUXM)
Android 10 QP1A. 190711.020

same issue, and also i'm on the same build. my workaround is when the speaker is on (while on a call) just turn it off and then on (just double tap it) and the problem disappears, at least in my case.

I use hands free, speaker mode 95% of the time and i have had no problems at all and the audio is clear, though i am in a quiet location most of the time or i would not use the speaker.

have you had this problem from the beginning of having a telephone? I had a problem after the update. That's why I hope that some update will fix it.

[Q] No Earpiece Sounds on Calls, Ideas?

Hi all, as of a couple of days ago I'm getting no sound in my earpiece when I make or receive calls. There is also what seems to be a crossed-out waveform icon on the dialer screen as shown in the screenshot below. I never use headphones, and I've cleaned out the headphone socket. My music player plays through the speaker fine, and when I fished out some headphones the music plays through them fine, and back to the speaker when the headphones are unplugged. I've powered down the phone, removed the battery and rebooted.
Any ideas what else I can try, or does someone recognise the circled icon on the screenshot and know how to remove it?
Many thanks in advance, Warren

Hello, i think the icon is not the problem, if i recall right its a noise reduction or volume boost for calls not a bug or anything like that.. try to clean reflash your ROM and see if the problem is still there.. Make a backup first so in case nothing change you can revert easely
Its a Hardware Problem Buddy And that Sign is For turning the Noise reduction On and Off...

[Bluetooth Headset] Hands-free not working in Windows 10

Hi all,
I recently bought the new Huawei Freebuds 3i. They are really nice and work pretty good with Android.
In Windows the problems start to happen. As far as I understood every headset with a microphone has a Stereo device and a Hands-Free device. The first is for multimedia such as YouTube, music and so on. The second one is for voice calls, or apps like Discord/TS. While the stereo works fine, the hands-free doesn't. In Microsoft Teams, and all the other apps, I configured audio IN/OUT to use the Hands-Free device, like this:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
What happens is:
Insert earphones;
Start the call;
For the first 2 minutes the call is perfect. I can both hear and speak;
After these 2 minutes the IN audio doesn't work anymore. The mic will still continue working and the other people will continue hearing me, but I can't hear them.
When I go on the sound panel I see that the sound is playing, but I can't hear it through my earphones!
It's like something goes in conflict in the earphones and they stop speaking. I have tried lots of setting but none of them worked. By now the only way to use the earphones is to use them with an external microphone (like my gaming headset's ones) and it will work. But obviously I would like to use them with the integrated ones.
Has somebody had this issue and solved it?
Thanks in advance folks.
EDIT: I have now just tried disabling all the other audio sources, keeping only the Hands-Free device. It still gives the problem. After some minutes the sound just stops, although the audio seems going on. And obviously, having only this device as output, I cannot hear any sound from the PC, neither YT or Windows sounds.

Question GPS freezing after few minutes

Hi,
I was posting this on Samsung community topic and have it confirmed - after some time, GPS starts to fly over and suddenly it freezes totaly.
I've made a video of it:
Anyone solved it ?
S22 Exynos...
Mine is behaving the same, s22 ultra exynos. It worked fine before the (March?) update that fixed Whatsapp video playback. I am driving a lot, turning location off and on again so often is making the phone almost unusable for navigation.
Guess we will have to be patient. Last update EVAH did some progress but its not completely ok. Its just much better now.
After latest update and some app permission tweaking it seems Samsung fixed the freeze issue. (At least for me)
Faced the same issue as mentioned here so far.
After patch (see screenshot) gps worked fine for the duration of a 1:10 hour run -tracked- with no interruptions.
However, i sense Samsung pulled a dirty on here.
During the tracked session it seemed the 5G SIM module lost connectivity a couple of times in areas it worked fine before.
Will try converting the SIM to eSIM and test again.
Did anyone encounter similar issue?

I thought so too. But it happened again yesterday. Its much less often than before but it is still present.
Ok, good to know. Thanks for confirming.

With stock MUIU, go into the settings/about/all specs/click multiple times on kernel version, you'll have the basic test for the phone and will be able to test main mic and top mic too

Question [SOLVED] Very strange ongoing camera issue

Hi, I have spent the last few weeks searching XDA, OnePlus and various other forums for an answer to this issue but have come up with no working fix.
The camera on my OP9P works absolutely fine sometimes, but other times it will show the feed for about 1 second and then freeze, completely unusable as the OP Cam app will also become unresponsive. Other times it will work, but the wide-angle 0.6x lens will not be accessible, the button for it will just not be there. Other times it will work 'fine' but the 1x lens will have a very strange overlay on it (photo attached).
I have tried every cam app on the first 10 pages of the Play store and even installed older versions of the OP Cam app and I eventually get the same issue. It happens in every app I use: WhatsApp, Instagram etc.
I have installed various ROMS also and still had the same issue.
Has anyone heard of this issue before, or know what it could be? My gut says it is hardware related but if I restart the phone, it usually works fine with no physical changes to the device.
Device was purchased around September 2022 and is in great physical condition, currently running OxygenOS 13.0 (LE2123_11_F.75).
Any help will be much appreciated.

Is that 100% sure? I thought it could be hardware but a simple reboot usually fixes the issues for a little while.
I've reached out to the supplier who is going to repair it. Frustrating but quick response times so we'll see what happens.
