samsung j2 pro sm-j250y, any specific support or compatibility? - Samsung Galaxy J2 Questions & Answers

Hi,
sorry if it's a stupid question, I am very ignorant of samsung obscure naming conventions ( never had one),.
my mother was gifted this phone and I found the stock rom outdated and quite sluggish, therefore I was looking for a lighter rom with less garbageware.
but I am clueless. i am not even sure if a compatible twrp exist and I would not like to flatline her phone.
i have found no mention of this phone varianti in the xda forum and I was wondering if sm-j250"x" roms are compatible...
any help is appreciated.
thanks.

It is possible insert language pack on T-Mobile Stock ROM ?

Hi guys I was got in a trapped situation when I bought a S3 International GT-I9300, but receive a T-Mobile SGH-T999 model, the problem is: all apps under language O.S., like S-Voice, Navigation, TTS, etc..., don't understand or speak Brazilian Portuguese.
It's possible to extract a language pack from S3 International and apply into T-Mobile Stock ROM ?
I am moving this out of Development because it is not, and moving it to Q&A. You might want to see if someone can help you in the International forums also. Might actually be a better resource (maybe not though).

[Q] Sorry for this basic question

XDA People,
(Sorry for my bad English). I am in the way to change the ROM in my TMO Galaxy SIII device. I don't live in the States, and a friend sent to me this phone. But, I feel this device has a few things I don't like (missing fm tuner, impossibility use of Samsung Dive, and others). I came from a Galaxy SII international, which had this tools, and Tmobile, for whatever reason, drop off many features.
The question is: Can I use a ROM who give back this capabilities of other Galaxy SIII models? I understand that if I use, for example, Cyanogen for TMO, I will be in the same route again... without the mentioned features.
If I can choose, I pick the international version of Galaxy SIII, but putting a ROM for the int'l device... will broke mine?
Thank you in advance.

Not sure about the other questions, but do not install any international rom on your phone.

The FM tuner, Samsung (not T-Mobile) didn't include in (at least the US variants) the phones. No clue what Samsung Drive is, but installing a variation of AOSP will get you less (if hardly any) Samsung features - again, this is nothing to do with T-Mobile.
MT3G is correct, install ROMs specifically made for the specific phone. T-Mobile USA phones should only install ROMs for T-Mobile USA phone. If you were to get an international SIII, then install the ROMs for the international SIII.
I hope I answered your questions. I tried to answer them how I understood the question.
i dont see why we cant pull the applications from the internation version and use them here... lol

Thank you for the answers. Samsung Dive (not "Drive") in an awsome feature that let the user a complete remote operation of his Samsung Galaxy. Very useful if your phone was stolen or missing. Location of the device at google maps, complete lock of the phone from distance, and, many, many, many others (you can check SansungDive home page), and is completely free!
Unfortunately, TMO remove this beautiful chance from the original international model of the same phone. Also the TMO dialer is not good (missing videocall button) and other stuff removed (why less funcionality?).
Again, thank you all.

Ok, I see.
Why less? Why is the US always different when the large majority of the world are more unified?

Using stock rom of SM-T210R in SM-T210

Hello everyone,
I'm an utter newbie in android platform, so please accept my apologies if this question has already been answered, though countless searches I've performed did not yield any results.
I'm a non-US resident and during my recent USA visit, I've purchased two 7" galaxy tab 3's for my parents. However, to my disappointment they don't have our local language (Turkish) included in system settings and unfortunately my parents do not understand English.
I've thought of installing stock ROM with TR localization and searched sammobile for proper one. The problem is, the model number of my devices are "SM-T210R", but the TR localizations are for "SM-T210". Now I don't know exactly what is the difference between models (I guess the one with R is for North American markets), but the question is, can I safely use stock roms for sm-t210 in sm-t210r, without bricking etc.
If not, what are my alternatives?
Thanks in advance.

A New Person to the world of Rooting

I ask for some help or rather come to you guys for help. I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy S4 (As you could tell), I believe, the S4 I have is unlocked, meaning that it is Rooted and do have questions for you veterans, the guys that know how to do it right. So my first question is, what ROM do I use and how do I install one? Do you have one that you prefer, works best and makes the S4 a smooth, great experience? I would like to have a ROM, that gives me the Lollipop experience, if that helps out to what ROM I'm looking for. Secondly, is it a necessity for me to have a SD Card? I don't currently own one and though I am new to Rooting, I have tried this before and failed, almost getting my S4 bricked because I didn't know what I was doing, which is why I have come to you guys
Much help is appreciated.

help installing a rom for the first time (galaxy s4 mini)

Recently I've been looking into upgrading from 4.4.2 to at least 5.0 or latest but I rooted my phone so o.t.a no longer works. Rather than fixing that I decided installing it as a rom would be better in my case but I only have relatively basic knowledge of how all that's done and I don't feel like searching around the Internet and ending up with a half baked tutorial that will end up bricking my phone so if anyone knows how to safety do this help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Phone: samsung galaxy s4 mini
Android ver: 4.4.2 (modded)
(Don't know what else to put here)
One of the rules of XDA is to not encourage n00b behavior. Since you are posting on this site I will assume that you are a homo sapiens with a brain which carries a relative power of deduction. Everyone starts of somewhere. This isn't a site for guiding you through the steps of how to do one individual task. This is a site where you can learn and ask constructive questions, not ask for a walkthrough.
Now I advise you to use the search bar and discover a bit on your own using your brain. Because although its nice to jump to the end result, were here for the ride.
