has anybody in the uk had the ota update for kitkat yet, i tried installing it through the local update method but i'm having problems so it looks as though i might have to wait for the ota update. funnily enough i had the same issue with the b125 upgrade as well and had to wait for the ota for that as well
It installed on my stock UK P6 using the local update method.
I did install B132 first, again using the local method. (Extract file from zip, copy dload folder to sdcard, open update app and perform update from there)

Wrong ideea. Copy zip file in dload folder on sdcard and local update.
correct way to install B511
1.FIRST EXTRACT THE DOWNLODED FILE(b513)
2.INSIDE THE EXTRACTED FOLDER YOU WILL FIND ANOTHER ZIP FILE(B513)
3.RENAME THE ZIP FILE AS UPDATE (PLEASE DON'T NAME AS UPDATE.ZIP
4.CREATE NEW FOLDER NAMED AS (dload)
5.COPY THE FILE INTO dload folder IN YOUR sdcard
6.GO TO SETTINGS6--------UPDATES---------LOCAL UPDATE----NOW YOU CAN SUCCEED DUDE

Hello,
My huawei p6(international version) failed to update to KK 4.4 from B132 JB 4.2.2.
Here's the reason:
E:Error executing updater binary in zip/external??
Error flashing zip ' /external_sd/dload/B510.zip'
FAILED
Anyone had this issue ?
I'v tried all the options what are around the web.
Any other suggestions?
You can't flash official rom in zip file.Unpack zip, folder dload copy to ext. card and than flash rom with stock recovery.

Do you use TWRP or Stock? You cant use TWRP for Huawei Firmware.

I have used both, and funny it is, both recoverys show the same error. I just flashed TWRP and tought it might give me a better answer.
Also i tried trough Huaweis suite and it tells me an error like this"Unable to unzip zip" on every firmware i try.

Now i have even a better error.
file_getprop:failed to stat "/system/build.prop":No such file or directory
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
It seems like you've put the zip file directly into your SD card, you have to extract the folder named "dload" and then put it in the root directory of the SD card.

Even I have the same error with stock recovery. I tried extracting the file and put it in the dload folder, still no use

Where in your SD card are you putting the dload folder with the update.app file?
So you have to rename B510.zip to update.zip and then put the zip onto your sd card in a folder called dload, after that just use local update or force update via the three button method.

I'm no expert, but I think he has to unpack the update.app file, put it inside a folder named "dload" and then move that folder into the root directory of the SD card. I don't think the system can read the zip file directly.

Normally this would be right but it's an OTA update so it has to be a zip.

Can anyone tell me how to update my 801L to android 6???
buid number M2-801LLV100R001c199B005
Have you found any thing
Have you tried this:
1. Download the OTA Update Zip file
2. (Optional) Rename the downloaded file to update.zip
3. Extract the Update.Zip file
4. Create a folder named Dload in the device’s internal storage or on your SD card and put the update.app (Extracted Update.zip) file there
5. go to settings > About phone > System Update, and then select Local Update.
Edit:
Sources (and install instructions) can be found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/me...om-8-0-models-stock-marshmallow-roms-t3535466
Hi all,
I needed original Build.prop, Boot and stock recovery from my RUU package. I successfully extracted the zip file from .exe file. But I found many zip files (about 25 zip files) in the rom.zip and I couldn't extract any of those 25 zip files. Is there any way to un-zip those files to get stock files to use later?
