repartition to increase partition system perhaps!

Elemental X was great but you want to update to Follow MSI's work, he's done some awesome things and has his own kernel which is better/updated to elemental
Grab the lineageos 17.1 for it and follow msi's kernel rocking and it's like a 7 year old tablet better than anything new, OTG with charging and completely stable. Then add Magisk with EdExtended so you can install GravityBox for other tweaks and use SmartPack to turn on knock to wake/sleep and fastcharge, etc.

https://lineageos.wickenberg.nu/flo/
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0By6p5AdQfavBUlhsLWFHZThGTnM?usp=drive_open
and yes you have to do the partition resize for the new TWRP before you do any of this, just set aside and hour, read all the instructions and do it step by step and you are done

DHD Not taking large roms

Help !
I’m having strange issues with my DHD – Every time I try loading Android Rev. 6.1.5 or LeeDroid v4.0 my phone just hangs at the White HTC Screen…
I tried loading both Roms with Rom Manager and 4EXT – But seems to make no difference…
Even stranger if I load a small rom such as Miui or CM7 they both install ok!
Before you ask if the file is corrupt i did MD5 checks on both Andoird Rev. and LeeDroid after download and they pass!
Looking through my SD card I found the recovery log from trying to install Adriod Rev. Not being used to this Op sys. I was hoping someone could shed some light on these errors for me ?

After running the 10.10.12 version of CM10, I put it to sleep and it had the black screen of death and it couldn't boot up and was stuck at the LG logo screen. I just started CWM Recovery and flashed the ROM again which erased the tweaks.
As for right now, I'm only using the Lightning Zap v1 tweak on my 10.10.12 CM10 Nightly and its so smooth and even think it's saving me quite a bit of battery.
TL;DR: If you're going to test out PIMP MY ROM, be warned that some tweaks may cause your phone to be stuck on boot loop.
Also got stuck on LG logo on boot. But one question. How many tweaks did u apply at once? It does say not to apply all at once. Maybe the number of tweaks applied at one time is the issue? I have the lightning zap as well as the v6 supercharger and my phone is the fastest I've ever had it. Running paranoidandroid 2.5x by utacka.

This thread covers installing backtrack on the Xoom tablet. Also implies it can be installed on other devices. Last activity in the thread was in 2012 but there still may be some helpful information.

HTC One M8 Flashing Rom - set_perm: some changes failed

Hello,
I am trying to flash a new one onto my new HTC one 2014 Verizon. I grabbed the Viper and Revolution Roms, got S-Off, and TWRP installed however once TWRP seemed like I (or it) cleared the system partition some how without a stock backup (It said 0MB when checking the partitions).
Anyway, continued on my way to flashing...Well, heres some logs... ~.~

I did search prior to posting, most of the 'solutions' was just to try try again from the beginning. Didn't have that option as at the time I did not have a backup.
But I was able to find one made form unofficial cwm before I switched to TWRP, and started all over.
Looks like it may be fine now.
Thanks!

I had this problem too when I was using M8 TWRP. Verizon variant is named M8_WLV. Using the M8_WLV TWRP I had no issues. XDA thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2717928 Hope that helps.
Similar issue on HTC One m8 GPE, no fix yet
I have similar issue when flashing ROM on my HTC One m8 GPE from play store.
I have unlocked bootloader & s-off and installed TWRP 2.7.0.2
I tried to install ViperOne and Revolution HD (choosing HTC One m8 International variant) many times, and every time the end of the ROM flashing process is symlink: some symlinks failed.
And when I reboot, I got a bootloop into recovery.
I also tried using different custom recovery like CWM and even verizon version of TWRP, but nothing worked.
I've searched back and forth, and don't see to find solutions here.

I am experiencing this same issue on my VZW M8. I am S off also getting failed revolution hd installs. Any fixes?

Hello,
I am trying to flash a new one onto my new HTC one 2014 Verizon.

Your log file looked similar to mine and I tried everything to get these ROM's to install. I had been trying to install the ROM from the SD card and I had nothing else to try so figured I would copy to the internal SD and give it a shot and that fixed the issues and the ROM installed no problem. Hope this solves your install issue too. Thanks
I am having the same issue on my HTC one m8 verizon version. Trying to flash Android Revolution HD... I've tried having it on internal memory and external and I've made sure I have the right TWRP installed. Every time the install finishes it says set_perm: some changes failed and twrp crashes. Any other ideas?
In case it's helpful for someone, here's a log file. I also read in another thread that someone had success if they wiped /system before trying to install. I'll see if that helps soon.

EDIT:
Wiping /system before flashing the rom was a success! No hitches at all, and had it up and running. However, since it's a verizon device, apparently the firmware isn't out yet. Because of this I had no wifi and really long boot times. I'm gonna flash back to stock until the firmware is released with the next verizon software update. Happy flashing everyone!
The solution that worked for me
I was struggling with this issue while trying to install several ROMs. The reason I was getting this is because I was starting with a GPE phone and was trying to install ROMs that we based on HTC's Sense build (Viper, ARHD, etc...)
The reason is that the partition sizes are different between GPE and stock HTC. I believe that you will encounter the same issue if you installed the GPE RUU on your phone and are trying to revert.
I followed the instructions found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733523 which required me to flash the firmware from what I had back to an HTC version (after this step I got the HTC logo upon restart instead of the google logo) Flashing this firmware must set the partition sizes to the appropriate values because after this I was able to install the Viper ROM without issue.

viperone m8 stuck on boot screen

I had viper Installed but phone had troubles and I factory reset, back to 4.4.3 stock and trying to install viper. Says it installs fine but won't get past boot screen. I have noticed that it installs far too quickly compared to last time and I don't get all the options I had last AROMA Installer version 2.70RC2

Help?
Try downloading the zip file again using only your phone .sometimes what's downloaded is not a complete file.
AT&T HTC ONE M8
Tried fresh download and still the same. The aroma installer only gives me the bit where I choose if I'm on t mobile, then it's finished. Installing only takes a few seconds compared to a good few minutes when I did it first time.
Mostive made it through is when i didn't do a wipe and it booted, but just came up with error after error and was unusable
I'm thinking a save file is conflicting somewhere bit I don't know where the installation files are
Witch HTC ONE M8 do have?
Are you S-off?
How about supercid?
AT&T HTC ONE M8
Orang001 running 4.4.3
Not s-off so can't change cid. Don't trust myself to go s_off and break something.
4.4.4 update has just been downloaded this morn, will have to flash stock recovery later and try my luck with viper 3
Post your success as an update
AT&T HTC ONE M8
Update done and viper installed perfectly, don't know what was problem last time but could tell straight away this time as aroma installer worked perfectly
Good for you sir
