Hi this is my first post so I hope it is in the right catergorie, I have a px5 mtce with android 9 unit originally running a mx2_v3.17_1 mcu and all was working ok except for a few app related cliches I updated to hal.4 custom Rom and ha mcu and now my Bluetooth connection with my phone ( samsung s10 5g ) connects with bluetooth ok but I have no sound coming from the head unit and cannot be heard on the other end of the call I have contacted the developer and have been informed it should be working fine and could be phone related but if that was the case why did it work ok on original set up just wondering if anyone else has encountered a similar problem and has found a fix for it I have also tried using other roms and mcu's but still have same issue

Why did you move from mx2 to ha mcu if you didnt notice any hardware related issue?

It was recommended to use a higher version mcu to run the hal9k custom rom and not being familiar on mcu's at that time I took the advise cheers
You were recommended to use a higher version of your manufacturers mcu....but you mixed manufacturers....
Even there is a thread with compatible manufacturers....you have upgraded with other manufacturer mcu (and probably settings have been changed)....you have to check which settings did you have prior the update and put the same ones...if worked...if not...you have to get a new mcu signed BY YOUR MANUFACTURER to make it all work as expected.
And remember....if works why to change anything? (Overall if you dont know what are doing)

Here you are MX mcu 3.30
(Mx and mx2 are the same)
View or download the folder 'MTCD' https://yadi.sk/d/umCvHqCDzHccr
Go to mcu folder and then to mx folder

Thank you for your response and yes I do realise I have changed to a different mcu and it was a misunderstanding on my behalf for not researching mcu's more I have since tried to flash the correct manufactures mcu but I keep getting a message that the mcu is an incorrect match something to that effect I can't remember exactly and the unit continues to beep so I changed it back to the ha mcu it is only the bluetooth that I am having a problem with and it is set to WQ_BC8 I have tried all the various settings but it will only connect on this one or BC6 .cheers

Fist I thought it was a modem related issue, flashed a new modem and all working for two months..
Then, after various nightly updates the problem is back again. Who have the no sound call issue on cyanogenmod firmware?
It is a kernel problem?
I created this thread to exchange ideas and maybe help @arco68 to fix the problem.

It must be possible to find some systematic differences between working and not working. After all, our hardware is identical, the software base as well. You should summarize the collected wisdom at your OP.
Disable the "OK Google" detection at Google Now settings worked for me so far.

If I use the built in voice recorder I immediately get the no sound issue. Maybe someone else can test that to see if it's a common trigger?

Possible solution
Hi,
I had this problem 3 months ago for the first time and I have not been able to solve it with any ROM I've tried. Then someone suggested me to install the app Disable service and going to system services menu, uncheck "check in service" in the google services. It works!
Now the problem appears only 1 or 2 times a week... I think the matter is that sometimes the app disable service doesn't start automatically or can't obtain root permissions.
Try it... and good luck!

Thanks for the advice. What does the check in service do ? I read that if you disable it Google now no longer works? Have you had any problems since disabling it?

And you have the no sound issue?
Sent from my GT-I9195 using XDA Free mobile app
I had the no-sound-issue with the UCOA2, too. I don't think updating the Radio helps to solve this problem in general.
I've testet the tip, to disable "Ceckinservice" previously, and first, it seems to work, but than the no-sound-issue appeared again.
About check in service
Hi DavidMLondon,
I don't know what google check in service does, but I don't use google now so I can't say if it's necessary for that or no. I had no general problem disabling check in service and as I said, before that I had the no sound in call problem every day (also two times....I mean 2 reboot needed), now I have it 1 or 2 times at week.... I don't know why...
I´m not sure this is caused by the same issue but maybe there is something into it.
So well I´m still on 5.0.2. It´s the latest release before Arne switched over to 5.1.1. Baseband is COC2.
By reading about your mic issues I wanted to check if my device is involved into it as well as I never had to deal with this issue. So Used the OK Google function first and then I called myself from a stationary phone. All was fine. Just later my wife called me and all I could hear is a horrible noise comming out of my speaker. The phone app crashed and keept crashing till I rebooted the device.
Then I disabled OK Google detection and all is fine so far. At least for normal calls. Just am experiencing something simmilar by making calls via Whatsapp. When the connection is bad and I´m getting the reconnect signal, my mic stops working when it gets reconnected again. It also keeps not to work when I finish the call and recall the person.
Now I'm on 30/06 nigthly and COD3 baseband and can't reproduce the issue, all working.
Does people have the no sound issue have disabled vibrations on soft touch buttons? This is the first time I left that enabled after a clean install and all works good.

I just enabled vibrate on touch, used the voice recorder and then tried to call my land line and I didn't get the no sound problem. This is the first time I have used the voice recorder and not had the issue. I will continue to test and report back. Would be interested to know how many others disable vibrate on touch.

Man! Please update your radio: Please check http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-I9195/ for the recent radio of your country , and download the radio-file over xda forums.
Then disable the "OK Google" detection and also disable Google play services' "checkinservice".
I had this issue today. i heard the first few words of the caller then the sound went intermittent 'robotic' for a sec and then it was silent. the next call as well. I rebooted i had no calls for an hour it worked after. but i had this on prev builds just didnt know it was my phone causing it, thought its the network maybe, but now im sure its not. im checking my baseband ver a bit later, and i might try to update it.
my current modem is I9195XXUBML4.
Hey people. I just made the move to 5.1.1 using Tipsy ROM available on Google+ and was suffering from similar issues like you lot. My calls would sometimes lose sound or drop or sound very distorted. I also had problems with Google voice search. I was using the latest modern COD3 from a stock kit Kat. But dev had no such issues. So I changed my modem to the one the ROM dev was using which was an older version xxucnk5 and all my phone call issues disappeared including Google voice search issues. Don't know of this helps anyone? Using i9195 LTE here.
If someone could test the following, that would be great.

My Firmware version is V1.0.0.53 and MI Fit version is 2.2.3. I suggest you need to un-pair and uninstall MI fit app. Restart your phone. And then Install MI Fit app and re-pair with mi band. Remember, Always open Bluetooth and GPS when you re-pair or update firmware, otherwise your device may be fail to pair or update firmware.
Good luck,

Mi band blue tooth
I had come across a similar situation where miband was not syncing with mifit app. searched a lot and could not get any solution. and a simple workaround helped me. So thought of sharing this. Mi band seems to be not connecting and syncing. i checked the bluetooth settings where i got an option to forget the band. and i had done that. Now i faced the real issue that i could not found the band in range after scanning for the devices.. Now i was searching for an option to reset miband which i found there was no way. then while i was exploring the mifit app under profiles i found an option as add device. in fact it was showing my device there already and that was the actual issue i guessed. So i could unpair the same from there and clicked add a device. it worked . my band started vibrating and phone screen shown a message to press the button on the band. I pressed the same and it got paired and synced with all old data. That was a simple issue but some times we dont check the things in right place.
Hope this post will help some one

Try my Solution here.
You can use the Mi Band Master app. The free version is enough as an alternative to Mi Fit. It can reset the band, and you can set new configurations.
There is also a Pro Version which is the best!
Well, I got the same issue,
In Bluetooth settings, I can see the mi band 2, but when trying to pair with mi fit or mi band master app, it doesn't.
Tried a third party app Fix-It for mi band 2 but it doesn't work either,
The band is unpaired from the account and the phone.
Tried on an other phone but still not connecting.
The band is tracking my activity and the HRM is working too
HELP ME T_T
Here are some of the steps that I found from one of the youtube videos.
[/URL]
If you paired it with a device, and now you're trying to pair it with another device, it won't work. First of all, you have to unpair it with old device, then try connecting it to the new device.
Please sufficiently charge your Mi Band.
Try restarting the Bluetooth and then connect it.
If this also doesn't help, rebooting your phone will definitely help.
After lots of research.. I found this application gadgetbridge.
Connect you band to this app.
Click on Menu -> Debug -> Factory Reset
note you will lose all your data from band. But it will get reset and then your mi-fit app will start detecting it again.
I've got this MTCB: MTCB-YZ-V2.81
I though it was by Roadmaster and contacted them but they claim it's not their unit.... how do I know which MCU can I use with it?
If your not having issues with the headunit I would not try updating the MCU, it does not add many new features and can sometimes cause new issues. Are you trying to install a custom ROM?
Where did you by your headunit from? Was there no identification on the box? I never seen a MTCB MCU with XY.

Are you using the firmware that came with your device? If you're using the Russian nougat, it might be a bug that'll be fixed later. If you're using Marshmallow which came with your device, you might want to try a network reset. Settings->General->Reset and the reset network option there.

It must be bug with Marshamllow ROM, factory reset doesnt help, as long as you are like 50cm away from the router it seems fine.

In Developer Settings I change the value for Bluetooth Audio Codec, but no matter what I choose it reverts back to SBC. I've also confirmed that it chooses SBC via a bluetooth packet dump. Has anyone been able to get a different setting to stick? Has anyone verified aptX (or something other than SBC) connections to an audio sink?
