This has just occurred. Whenever I take a picture or video it doesn't store in my gallery, as before. Well not store, I can't playback videos, and pictures are unable to open. Comes up with a grey screen and an exclamation sign. Yet you can see videos and pictures are there! You can see pictures and videos in the thumbnail preview just can't open them. Any ideas what to do???

I remember having this issue with a "new" SD card (that was actually a fake one). Files were corrupted hence the system is not able to open them. Maybe you have a corrupted file causing the issue.
I ended returning the fake SD card and returned to my old one, I'm sorry if this is not too helpful.
Cheers,
Seems to be sorted. I just took out the SD card, then after re-inserting it I unmounted the SD card and then mounted it again. Seems to be OK. Keep all posted. Could be helpful to others.

im running WM6 on a ks20.
recently, ive had a problem with pictures and videos stored on the sdcard. if they are of a higher quality, i cant seem to view them more than once.
For instance, i take a 1600x1200 picture. i view it with the default image viewer. it displays fine. however after a while if i try to open it again, it says "cannot load file" and when i copy the photo to my pc, it get's corrupted and becomes all fuzzy. any ideas?
Also, could it be that i installed the SDHC patch? if so, does anyone know where i can download the original sdbus and sdmemory dll files? i forgot to back mine up :\
i found the problem! it happens when i take a high res picture (eg 1600x1200) and save it to the mem card. then if i wait for the phone to go to sleep (ie. display blacks out) and then turn on the screen once again and immediately try to access the photo on the mem card, it'll corrupt the photo.
lol. it's as though the sdcard went to sleep along with the screen
ideas?
This again is an odd issue I just happened to encounter today.. ok..
When I have a playlist in my android music, by the way I use an old style music player because I like it a lot, anyways, When I have a playlist it no longer lets me hold in on the edge of a song and move it somewhere else in the playlist, like if I want it to be the first song or somewhere else on the playlist, it no longer lets me do this. Also with my gallery, usually lets say I download a picture of the internet and I go into my gallery, usually it will be the most recent gallery album called downloads right there in the first slot so I don't have to go search through my gallery searching for my downloaded pictures, of if I take a screenshot and go to it in my gallery, it will be like the most recent used folder in my gallery and will be in the first slot.. doesn't do that anymore.. but I may have a reason why it is doing this (bare with me) my sisters phone broke today so I was getting her pictures and music off of her SD card and saving them to my computer.. I took my card out put hers in, then connected my S3 to my computer and only copied the entire DCIM, media, and downloads folders.. not individual pictures but again this is me taking these off of my sisters SD card not mine. I then remove hers and put my SD card back in my phone and I did notice it took forever for my pictures and music to load.. any reason at all as to why my phone is having this issue now? please post back on here for solutions or help with this, Please and thanks in advance.

is it possible that is becouse i exit pushing home button in the middle of the video?
i read some post about this problem but just on recording, it seams the camera do not end the video correctly and corrupt it
but it sound really strange to me for video view
do you save your video on SD or internal storage?
Check if your sd card is a fake. Corruption of data is common on fake cards which have eg. 2 gb but get converted into 8gb or more, then as you fill it up you'll notice things disappearing and getting corrupt.

Sorry to disturb, but am having problems and hoping some of the bright sparks here can help.
Camera: If I restart the handset I can go into Camera. I can sometimes take 2 maybe 3 photos. Then it stops. Sometimes it's if I use any photo app to take photo rather than Stock Camera. Sometimes it's if I've looked in the gallery. Camera then only goes to blank screen and occasionally advises of Camera Driver Failure. Also pops up with 'Failed to Take Photo. Camera Busy.' when not even taking one. I can't work it out.
Music: Stores automatically to internal memory. I want it on my HUGE empty SD card. Is there an easy way?
Running Sense and Stock Rom.
Thanks for any help.
Does this happen to anyone else? Random pictures I take will sometimes get corrupted and half of the image goes Grey. Sometimes If I look at the thumbnail in the album app, it seems to look fine until I open it, after a while I suppose the thumbnail updates and that goes Grey too. I have the Google photo backup running and that will upload Grey as well

Never happened to my photos.
Do you save your photos on internal or an external sdcard.
Some time ago i had corrupted pictures because of a defect sdcard, but the whole picture was grey in my case.
Yeah, looks like corrupted jpeg file.
Maybe your sdcard is faulty.
(I hope it isn't the internal storage)
It is external, I'll swap it and test, thanks for the tips
