Hi, can I install last clockworkmod recovery 5.0.1.0 from another recovery (4Ext) choosing install from zip file?
I tried android flasher but I had error problem. [PVT4, CM7-r2 hboot]
U can install from an other recovery, but it will a fake flash..its like a temp recovery, after reboot u lost it..its not a permanent one
to change permanently the recovery, u need s-off, then do this steps
-install htc sync drivers (install htc sync, uninstall it but leave drivers)
-download this file and extract on ur computer (its a minimal set of files to use fastboot commands)
-put the recovery img file in the same folder u extract the above files
-in the shell, navigate to ur above folder..like cd C:\folder-name
-put ur phone in fastboot mode, plug the usb
-from ur computer start/run/cmd, then write fastboot flash recovery recovery-name.img
-fastboot reboot
that's all
(u will find all this by searching )
Hi all,
Today after having weak wifi issue on my stock rom, decided to flash Maximus 21.0 rom 4.2.2.
Flashed kernel and then installed rom succesfully (it booted only once)
Then I updated rom with 21.1 ota.zip with wifi fix.
After this update my phone is stuck on "htc brilliant quality" boot screen.
Accidentally I had formatted the SDCARD as well
(so I don't have any rom.zip file inside sdcard)
I can enter into TWRP recovery, I can see fastboot screen, I can flash boot.img from cmd.
What do you suggest to do?
I would like to flash 4.2.2 stock rom or arhd 31.2 into the device if I succeed to copy rom into sdcard.
HBOOT version : 1.72
HTC One X Tegra 3
CID HTC__203
Thanks for your help.
Hello, I had almost the same problem as you do. What I did was ,downloading the rom you want to install to your PC (put it into "C:/" directory (easier)),then get into recovery -connecting phone via USB - type adb devices in cmd to check if your pc recognizes your phone if it does type "adb push c:/"ROM NAME.zip /sdcard/ when completed type adb shell in CMD after that - "ls /sdcard/" check if you see your rom if you see it choose install from sdcard or something like that and install .If you do not see the file google "adb push" commands .Hope I helped ,sorry if something doesn't make sense I'm tired. I'll check this post frequently to see if I can help anymore.
EDIT:IF you want to install stock rom ,download it ,push it and recover. You should have in mind that if you get error installing system you should flash the proper recovery
Flash this recovery .

Then go into mounts & storage and mount as usb storage !
Leave it for a minute or so and the sdcard pop ups at windows. Copy a rom .....

Thanks for the reply i've done it by using twrp & cwm recovery and selecting 'mount usb storage' this time it gave mounting sdcard error with twrp but rom flashing succeeded with cwm.

Hey friends can someone please help me with configuring adb in yu yureka!!
I actually want to flash TESLA OS on my yureka..
so i followed the steps and unlocked my bootloader using adb and fastboot..
now after i unlocked my bootloader i wanted to flash cwm recovery.
so i booted my phone in fastboot and tried flashing cwm recovery now its showing " WAITING FOR DEVICE"!!
and when i boot my yureka in system it gets detected in adb mode!!!
i am only able to unlock my bootloader but cannot flash recovery...
I am using the following tools:-
1. adb setup 1.4.2
2. pda net +
3. universal adb drivers
4. yu yureka tool box
5. minimal adb and fastboot.
i tried everything but nothing worked!!!
PLEASEEEE HELP!!!!!!!!
if you unlocked your ""bootloader"" then u can root your phone.
for that you need to download ""supersu.zip"" then keep it on your external or internal storage then boot your device into recovery and apply update from sdcard or internal storage where you kept the supersu.zip file.
Now you have rooted your phone.
Download flashfy or rasher application from google play store.
Then flash twrp.img recovery or cwm.img recovery then open flashify and flash recovery through that app....
ITS DONE...!!!!!

Hello everyone, I have an HTC desire 616 with a custom bootloader thanks to SPflash tool (done months ago) and now I need to perform a factory reset. Unfortunately I have:
- factory resets return, I have a "mount error"
- adb is only available in sideload mode and I cannot install anything since the security check of OTA package with my device fails.
- fastboot does not help since the bootloader is locked and I don t know how to reboot the device in download mode: "fastboot reboot emergency" says something about EDL dowload but goes back stuck in logo.
I wrote deadlock cause adb regular commands dont work, I need to flash a custom recovery from fastboot but cannot unlock the bootloader nor enter in download mode which I can enter only from adb. Yippee ki yay!
I have the latest HTC Sync Manager, Adb and fastboot, java sdk, Android sdk.
Any help??
