Hey friends can someone please help me with configuring adb in yu yureka!!
I actually want to flash TESLA OS on my yureka..
so i followed the steps and unlocked my bootloader using adb and fastboot..
now after i unlocked my bootloader i wanted to flash cwm recovery.
so i booted my phone in fastboot and tried flashing cwm recovery now its showing " WAITING FOR DEVICE"!!
and when i boot my yureka in system it gets detected in adb mode!!!
i am only able to unlock my bootloader but cannot flash recovery...
I am using the following tools:-
1. adb setup 1.4.2
2. pda net +
3. universal adb drivers
4. yu yureka tool box
5. minimal adb and fastboot.
i tried everything but nothing worked!!!
PLEASEEEE HELP!!!!!!!!
if you unlocked your ""bootloader"" then u can root your phone.
for that you need to download ""supersu.zip"" then keep it on your external or internal storage then boot your device into recovery and apply update from sdcard or internal storage where you kept the supersu.zip file.
Now you have rooted your phone.
Download flashfy or rasher application from google play store.
Then flash twrp.img recovery or cwm.img recovery then open flashify and flash recovery through that app....
ITS DONE...!!!!!

Hello Yu Yureka fans!!!
This for the Yu Yureka fans who want to root the phone but don't want to miss OTA update by flashing custom recovery
In this thread i will tell you how to ROOT your Yu Yureka without flashing custom recovery.
This method will not flash custom recovery over stock recovery, this will just boot the custom recovery once just to flash the superuser.zip. so you will be back to stock recovery after flashing superuser.zip.
So lets get started...
Your Bootloader should be UNLOCKED
Files you need:
1. adb and fastboot drivers
2. A CWM recovery link (don't worry we wont flash it, it is just needed to install superuser.zip)
3. Superuser.zip link (save this in your sd card or internal memory)
Note: Keep recovery.img file in the same folder where adb and Fastboot drivers are placed and always open command window from that folder.
Connect your phone to pc via data cable
Steps:
1. Open command window (cntl+shift+right click)
2. Type
Code:
adb devices
if your device is connected you will get it in connected devices
3. Type
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
4. Type
Code:
fastboot -i 0x1ebf boot recovery-yu.img
now your device will boot into recovery mode
5. Select install zip from sd and navigate where you have downloaded the superuser.zip and select install.
6. Done!!! Your device is rooted and you are still in stock recovery :good: you wont miss the OTA
To check if you are in stock recovery just reboot into recovery :good:
Hit thanks if this helped :good:

@aashking
You can't boot the recovery image on locked bootloader; we have covered this fact already.

Thanks, will check. Although I downloaded the drivers just today, so not sure, how it is not up to date. Anyway, will check it once I am home in 3 hours.
tried resintalling the drivers. didn't help. command prompt still keeps on waiting for device forever, while phone is in fastboot mode.
Edit:
If I cancel the third command, and check the list again, phone is not listed. Somehow, after rebooting into bootloader, phone stops the adb connection.
i am on twrp recovery can i flash this recovery on that and update the new ota?
please help
I wasn't able to adb sideload from recovery though I could when the phone was on. so i tried clearing cache from stock recovery and it got interrupted. Now when i start the phone, boot loops and i can't even enter recovery. Any help please!
Update
Now I can enter recovery after long charging and I could wipe cache. I can boot normally.
Problem now is that adb devices command can actually detect the phone when it's booted and functioning; but the adb devices command can't detect the device when in fastboot or after entering recovery! Can anyone provide solution to this?

Where are you getting your adb/fastboot toolkit? If using the ones your Linux distro (Debian, Ubuntu, etc) provided, then consider them out of date. I had the same problem with fastboot recognizing my phone...once I downloaded fresh ones from Google's SDK, I was back in business!
Am on windows and i had fastboot_adb(1.0.32) already installed.
Update
I could update by flashing through Kernel Adiutor app (needs root permission & Busybox). Root lost when flashed complete firmware and root remained when flashed just the update file.zip.
what i did was-
I put zip file (completely downloaded firmware from ASUS website-also tried OTA downloaded and updated the phone) on MicroSD card, renamed the file MOFD_SDUPDATE.zip. This flashed through Kernel Adiutor app- recovery- cwm-flash.
Re-reooted the phone with 1 click method (method #3) when flashed the complete rom. If you just flash the update zip root remained.
All working fine for now.
PS: I use Z008 2gb model.
Previously I was using Ressurection Remix treble rom which is based on android 9 pie. I went to TWRP and wiped the OS. Then I tried to install a new rom called Dot OS. But it showed error 7. So I flashed Vendortofactory zip within twrp and without rebooting again into TWRP I flashed a new TWRP image within TWRP by selecting Recovery mode. After that I cant boot into TWRP and as already my OS is gone I also cannot boot into any system. Moreover my device is not getting detected in my PC. I cannot install TWRP by writing commands in cmd, while the phone is in fastboot mode as the device is not getting detected in my pc. Really it is urgent. I will be glad if someone helps me. Thanks in advance.
What is the present booted state of your device? Are you in twrp, or bootloader. Most of the time you can keep on pressing the power button. When it boots into a message about unlocked bootloader, press volume button to select recovery and it will boot into twrp
You should be able to boot in fastboot mode without recovery nor os, maybe your drivers are not working on windows? Try different usb ports, check if the display says "bootloader" or something. If nothing works try the usb shunt, this device is literally 'unbrickable' if it's working properly.
Watch this video(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DexLELi04XY) and then you will be able to detect your phone in your pc in qcom 9008 mode , then use qfil to flash ZUI firmware ,there are plenty of tutorials on the internet for that ,then follow the proper procedure mentioned in DotOs thread for flashing the new rom .
Hope it helped .
If you don't want to flash the firmware and all long process just follow the following steps
Enter in to the boot loader make sure you installed all the drivers in to pc then open cmd windows in adb fastboot folder and enters the following cmd into the cmd
Fastboot -i 0x2b4c devices this will detect your device
After that enter
Fastboot -i0x2b4c flash recovery recovery name.img
And boom you are good to go flash the rom of your choice and enjoy
For this process you need following files
Adb and fastboot devices
Drivers of zuk z2
Latest recovery and place revovery image file into the adb and fastboot folder if you are confused about anything pm me i am not the expert but i faced simillar problem and solved by this method

This assumes u have upgraded bootloader to 4.4 kernal.
U can still boot into twrp.. When the phone is booting up press vol up key and select recovery.. From there boot into twrp. There select f2v or v2f .. Then flash twrp which u want to flash.. Reboot to recovery.. U will get promp no os installed.. Ignore and reboot to recovery . Then again d9 f2v or v2f depending on what rom to install.. Again reboot to recovery... Then flash rom of ur choice.
This procedure is needed when changing from vendor to factory and vice versa.

Hi everyone, after getting bootloader ublocked and minimal adb and fastboot tools installed on my pc I’ve started to follow step by a step what this web says to get my phone rooted.
magisk.me/root-mi-a2-a2-lite-magisk-install-twrp-recovery/
But while trying to install TWRP recovery I can’t finish step 8 because when I introduce the command “ adb sideload twrp-installer-daisy-3.2.3-0.zip” it puts me that device is not found so I cannot finish to install TWRP recovery.
Any suggestions?

Try this instead
adb push twrp-installer.zip /sdcard
But what I need to do before that? Should I move the twrp installer zip file to SD card? More things to do? I’m confused

Get to fastboot. eg.
adb reboot bootloader
Boot TWRP
fastboot boot twrp.img
Copy the installer
adb push installer.zip /sdcard
Install using TWRP
Note that installing twrp removes Magisk so if you want root, reinstall Magisk.
After trying install TWRP via Download Mode android and get bootlops and freeze on Samsung logo, I found something but I need help.
I achieved install TWRP vía Bootloader mode using adb command "adb reboot bootloader" and flash twrp with odin, but i didnt install "no-encryption", "rmm" files before reboot to system, so i lost twrp.
I tried this method again but it frooze at samsung logo.
I would like know why i could do it with bootloader Mode but i couldnt do the same with "normal" download mode.
And i need help to achieve install twrp again...
