Yesterday I was trying to pair a controller with my Fire Stick 4K, but was unable to.
The issue is when I select "Remotes & Bluetooth Devices" within the settings menu, the menu opens for a second then kicks me back into the main settings menu. All the other settings menus work fine.
Short of doing a factory reset, is there anything I can do to fix this? I can't think what happened to lose this functionality - except trying to pair several Bluetooth devices one after the other.
Any help greatly appreciated, thanks!

Until yesterday my bluetooth keyboard worked fine with my Note.
Now, it will pair with the device but will not connect and therefor will not connect.
I have turned the bluetooth option off and back on on for my tablet and have also turned the tablet off and restared it.
In the Settings screen, I go to bluetooth, see the keyboard listed, hit the settings icon and hit "Input Device, Use for Input"
It says it is trying to connect for a couple seconds then goes back to nothing.
Any help is appreciated.
Have you tried deleting the keyboard from the bluetooth settings and then re-pairing it?
This is a user problem I realize but recently after letting my kids use KODI on the FireTV I know have a persistent readout of menus, associated xml files, and mouse movements on the top of my screen. Example: Window: fullscreenvideo (VideoFullScreen.xml) Mouse: (0,0). Obviously this changes as I change menus, video modes, etc. I'm guessing there's some key combination to enable/disable this but it seems like I've tried every button without any luck. I do have a keyboard as well should that make it easier to explain how to turn it off. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks and Happy New Year!
apparently i had to turn off debugging in the addon.xml file for the skin. Thanks.
Hi,
recently I started to use bluetooth because I bought a smart watch which requires bluetooth for smart notifications, ... Its been working great, until one day. Every time I didnt use smartwatch, I turned bluetooth off. And one day I tapped the icon to turn it on, and the bluetooth icon stayed pressed for a 5-6 seconds and then it went back white which means, it did not turn on. I tried everything, reboot, safe mod, recovery mode, force stop, ... Nothing worked. Then I did factory reset, which changed everything and bluetooth started to work again, but not for very long. After 2 days, exactly same thing happend and I have no idea what to do. Im pretty sure its a software problem, but no idea how to solve it. Please any ideas??
Thanks a lot.

Found this on another forum... I had the same problem and it got solved by following this.
What you need to do is clear the Bluetooth Share app cache and data, then perform a Network Settings Reset. I'd recommend doing it in that specific order.
First, open App Manager from Settings menu. Then use the three vertical dots on the top right to open the options. Select "Show System". Scroll to the Bluetooth Share app, and open up it's settings. Tap Storage. Tap Clear Cache, wait a moment, the cache will clear to 12.00KB. Now tap Clear Data.
Next, open the main Android settings again. Go to Backup & Reset, then Network Settings Reset. Tap Reset Settings and enter pin, if prompted. Tap Reset Settings one more time.
After that completes, which should be fairly instantly, try to turn on your Bluetooth. It should turn on! Yahoo! Let me know if this works for you!
Thanks to the original poster (I cannot post links here).
What a difference a day makes. Yesterday my rad new Xtrons Android headunit was working almost* fine and today, after following conventional wisdom and letting my 15yo nephew pimp it, it's in all sorts of...well fckd.
Keen on some help from the collective wisdom. Before anyone helpfully suggests a factory reset... well, that's been done, sooo many times. When your nephew CHANGES the factory settings, it becomes a cycle of hell.
Unit is an Xtrons PB86MTVP. 8" HD, Android 6.0' Octa-Core 64bit 32GB.
Current main problem is that the touch screen inputs are reverse and diagonally opposed. What the hell do I mean by that? If I want to type on the qwerty keyboard or simply tap an icon, I have to use my cunning and hit an area or button diagonal and opposite for it to work. If I can get past this issue then maybe I can move to the next one which is that the unit doesnt power on/off with the ignition.
To be clear, things tried (multiple times in some cases) include
Reset via reset button
reset via software app section
undoing car battery
pulling unit back out and disconnecting
turning on and off again
swearing
So, who can help? got a silver bullet?
TIA
Joe
You could go to settings start right down the line set your home screen back and you should have a setting there for different keyboards also that should get yoy back to normal

thanks for the reply djkeylenux. I've got the right keyboard though, thats not the problem. the problem is the touch input on the screen, no matter which screen I'm on.
Well beside calibrate witch I thing you tried you could also go to developer options take a kook at running process see if there's something running causing the problem,
I think you lost the MCU settings.
Go to settings and then into Factory Settings menu. Password is 126.
Then in keys tab re-calibrate the screen. During calibration you will first see a "+1" in one of the corners. Tap it with your finger. Then in opposite corner "+2" will appear. Tap it too. Then accept and apply ypir settings and the unit will reboot. The touchscreen will work correctly then
In the same screen you can also re-configure the touch buttons and physical buttons of yoir device.
It looks like someone potentially did an MCU upgrade/flash. If there was no backup of the settings then you lost it all. Which also means you might have lost bluetooth connectivity as the bt module type on first page of factory setting might be wrong too. Also canbus and other things might be affected. I recpmmend to check out the discussion threads on MTCD devices here. Someone with the same unit might tell you the right settings.
Hint: If you have trouble tapping the icons with non-calibrated screen. Try connecting a standard USB mouse to any of the USB ports.
Hi all, the wifes wileyfox swift has just developed AI. All of a sudden there is no keyboard, whenever you go to type anything, an icon pops up with google tap to talk?
This does not work, you can't close it or do anything. I have managed to disable it from appearing by forcing google apps to stop, however, there is still no keyboard???
Was thinking of a factory reset and so connected it to the pc, then we have the USB problem whereby the pc won't see the files.
Can't see dveloper options in the settings menu, there is no connectivity icon at the top of the screen to enable this. In settings, when usb tethering is turned on the pc no longer sees the phone at all.
Need to get her pictures off.
TIA
Al.
