I was told that the gear S2 is not compatible with the Tab S2, has anyone tested it, and can confirm this is true.
Update.
I have tested this and can confirm it does not work, not sure of the reason behind it.
That's odd... my gear live works just fine with it... I'm curious though why you would want it synced to your tablet and not your phone though?
I have Galaxy Tab S2 LTE and it's not compatible. Main issue is the Gear Manager app cannot load.

I have the international Galaxy Tab S2 (SM-T815) with voice capability, and it really irritates me that the Gear S2 is incompatible with it. It would be nice to use the watch and tablet together, instead of needing a phone simply to install Gear Manager. I suppose you can sideload the Gear Manager apk on the tablet, but it's inconvenient.

Side upload is not possible, it won't detect the watch, I have tried it at the samsung shop.
I had a S4 mini at that time with android 4.2 which you need 4.3 and above to work, thats why I tried to pair it with the tablet (Tab S2 SM-T715), now I have a V10 which should work, just waiting for the rose gold version of the classic, since the 3G version isn't available in my country.
Hello I have a Verizon tab s2 I sure no root at all. I have the gear s2 would love to get gear app to work. I can't edit buildprop.. maybe someone working on the gear app it self to help with this or am I out of luck......thanks
Yep Gear Manager - typical Samsung stupidity.
Now it's possible with samsung flow

Just need to change the device fingerprint, it should be fine.
MagiskHide Props Config v4.0.2 <-- Use that, switch your device to something that is compatible, install the required app. You may have to wipe cache / data to the play store, first.
Ok everyone, 1st time poster here hoping for help (without being beaten up about my question).
I have moved from Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to One Plus 3. The phone is great, BUT I really really miss two items from my Note 4
The Samsung Dialer - It has Video Chat to other Samsung users built in, the Google phone app seems a little "sparse" to me (just my opinion)
Messaging App by Samsung - It shows when other samsung users are typing and gives status such as "read" once a message is read.
Is there anyway I can get these two items Phone & Messaging onto the Oneplus 3 phone as my primary apps?
Please let me know - Thanks for being awesome & helpful !
Won't anyone help me determine is this is doable ??

more than likely not
Highly, highly doubtful. Someone can chime in with more knowledge, but that is pretty deep framework stuff from what I know.
Sent from my unknown using XDA-Developers mobile app
You have to have a Samsung device for those to work. They need Samsung framework and drivers to work at all and any port would not have the Samsung to Samsung options. Also the read recept is just that. It can be turned on in most messaging apps, but won't do any good if the other end has them disabled.
Does the Galaxy Wearable app compatible with Android 10?
I'm trying to install the app on my Huawei Mate 30 Pro, sideloaded the Galaxy Wear apk and when I try to connect my Active2, it prompted me -
"Notice
Check whether your system software is compatible or needs to be updated, then try again."
Thanks
This is disturbing news. I follow with interest.

You may have to sideload all the relevant apps to get it to work:
Galaxy Watch Plugin
Samsung Accessory Service
Samsung Pay
Samsung Push Service
Not sure if these are all you need... "Google" is your friend. There are several posts on the internet about this but from what I've read, Sammy won't release Android 10 versions until they release One UI 2.0.

Possibly not. When I first started Android 9 beta on my Galaxy S9, Samsung had not yet released a compatible wearable app so it didn't work on their own phones. So it's possible that Samsung won't release a wearable app compatible with Q until they start their own Android Q program.
Does that mean that when Sammy decide to drop the Android 10 Beta to Galaxy phones, they will update the app?
Or need to wait till the proper release of Android 10, when is out of Beta?
This is ridiculous! This will render my Active 2 to be useless until Sammy update the app!!!

This situation is frustrating. I can confirm there is no way of getting Samsung Wereable work on Android 10, and Samsung is happily ignoring any request made via email to their support team.

Actually I think I was wrong. Looking back, the wearable app never worked with Android 9 beta. P final release was out for quite a while before the wearable app was updated and worked again. So unless it works by accident or Samsung does a better job, don't run Android 10 beta if you want to use the wearable app.
Google "Samsung wearable app not working with Android 9 beta" and you'll see what I mean.
Good point, wait for the official 10 release for your phone.
Some are having success using the Wearable app without Samsung Pay. Here's a Sammy Community thread that may be of interest:
https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-Watch/Galaxy-Wearable-App-crash-Android-10/td-p/817856

I really wish they would change this way of doing things. I have chosen such an expensive smartwatch because I hoped to have a flawless experience.
I understand that Android 10 is still considered "beta" on every device except for Google Pixel phones, but still that's not a "Beta 1" nor "5". We are talking about a fully working OS beeing released to an ever growing number of smartphones.
A couple of days ago Samsung started recruiting beta testers for the Galaxy's line (if I remember correctly only in the United States and for the latest model): are those users expected to put the smartwatch in the drawer until next year?!
I know there is no solution. So please beg my pardon for this digression, but really things like this make me wonder if - in the end - a simple 50$ smartwatch wouldn't have been a better compromise.
I am using it on my OnePlus 7 Pro with Android 10 without any issues
Is "Galaxy Wearable" app available in Google Play for u?

What's version of Galaxy weareable you have?
same problem
I have the same problem with my Galaxy Active 2.
I use a Xiaomi Mi9 with the Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 (Android 10) Rom. The app can not be found in the Playstore. If I download the app and install it, then I come to the pairing. Then I get the same errormessage.

version 2.2.27.19083061

Okay, somehow I managed. I haven't reproduced it again now and try to remember as well as I can:
- uninstall all Samsung apps (Galaxy Wearable, Samsung Accessory Service, Watch Active2 Plugin and Samsung Health)
- TWRP > Delete Dalvik & Cache
- Restart mobile device
- restart clock
- the message "Let´s go!" appears.
- scroll down to the bottom and press the "?"
- scroll down again and set up the clock WITHOUT a smartphone via WLAN. I have linked my Samsung account here as well.
- check in the system if all updates have been downloaded
- connect the clock to the mobile device via bluetooth
- now reinstall all Samsung apps. My version of Galaxy Wearable is 2.2.27.19083061.
- I have activated the Galaxy Wearable in Magisk Hide
- launch the Galaxy Wearable App and pair again
- the clock restarts automatically and wants to be connected now
afterwards I successfully installed the clock via Galaxy Wearable App.
How is this going to work if the bootloader is locked, and can't get TWRP recovery?

then leave out the points with TWRP. i think that will work even without the step over TWRP.
that's just what I did.
Did u skip this too?

Hey; I'm looking for a LineageOS build for my SM-T860, but I can't seem to find anything even close. I'm a systems software developer so I can roll my own, but it seems odd to me that there isn't one out there, so thought I'd ask if there was some big known problem preventing easy build of LineageOS for the recent Galaxy Tabs before I start down that path.
I'm using Smartthings Find daily and I need my tags to be usable on AOSP
It shows "Only works on Samsung Galaxy devices with Android 8 and newer versions" on AOSP, even with HideProps, everything spoofed as S21
I tried installing Smarthings Framework but it doesn't change anything.
Yeah I know, the simplier way to do it is to buy only samsung devices with samsung OneUI but.. you know, I have an android phone exactly to avoid this
Tell me, please. Did you find AOSP for the S22 series?
