Hi guys,
I've been using Bixby Routines to allow me to use medium power saving mode with 120hz enabled. It has worked flawlessly in the past but today noticed that it stopped working. Having had a look at the option in Bixby Routines I can see the medium power savings option is gone and can no longer be added but I still have Routines with it as an option, as they were set previously, but it no longer works and shows a red exclamation logo. I have recently updated my software to the ATE6 build and can only assume that Samsung removed the option with the update. I've attached some pics to try and show what I mean.
Can you guys confirm if the same has happened or not and also let me know which build number you're on.
Thanks in advance!

I seem to have found the issue. In battery power mode options there's a toggle for adaptive power savings. When this is enabled you can no longer use existing Bixby routines to enable medium Power Saver mode and the option for medium Power savings is no longer offered when trying to setup new routines.
Apologies for creating a thread for this to only resolve the issue shortly after. I can assure you I was trying to resolve this for fair few hours and could not find anything online either. Hopefully this might aid someone should they encounter the same issue!

The lights that usually appear between the buttons on my Arc S no longer work and I can't remember when they stopped! I wonder if a mod I've installed is to blame but I don't want to wipe my phone and start from scratch if possible so am looking for some help...
I am running 4.0.2.A.0.42.
Here is what I have installed:
V6 SuperCharger
I thought this might be the culprit so I used Script Manager to stop running the script at boot, rebooted and it made no difference.
Reboot option in power menu
I am using the one from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1094730
Status bar widget mod
I am using the Ultra theme from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295254
That's about it.
However, one thing is odd - I seem to have an 'Automatic brightness' setting in Display options and I'm pretty sure it wasn't there when I first got the phone!
Any help is welcome.

Found it - the reboot mod was to blame.
was there any other impact other than "they just didnt light up" ?
Nope - just no lights. Seems that a few of the reboot mods available in the apps forum have the same bug.
How did you get the option to turn off/on automatic brightness? I dont have that on my phone and have same firmware as yours.

It appeared when I installed the reboot mod - but it doesn't do anything so you're not missing out! I guess the reboot mod files must of originally come from an SE device that had working automatic brightness.
oh thats too bad
Sorry if this was answered somewhere, but search didn't return any results.
I don't even know what to call it.. It's the second slider right under the brightness one. What the heck is it?

Never seen it before neither have I see an option to enable it anywhere. I'm using the leaked MI6 4.3 rom. Was it there by default?

There is a bug in google backup service
There is a bug in google backup service, google backup service acquires wfii connectivity lock and does not release it for hours which prevents device entering deep sleep and as a result drains battery. Fortunately you can disable backup in Settings->Accounts->Backup and Reset-> uncheck 'Backup my data'. This should resolve the issue ... after a full recharge monitor your battery stats - Android OS should NOT be on the top.

After some investigation I've came to a conclusion that the problem is in the wifi manager itself. In normal case this lock should be held no more that 1-2 seconds for the entire battery charge. I've developed an application that will give an automated solution for this problem.

When I make or answer a call and put my phone up to my ear the proximity sensor kicks in and the screen shuts off. However, when I take the phone away from my ear the screen doesn't turn on again. Sometimes(maybe 25% of the time) I can press the power button to wake up the screen but usually the screen is just stuck off until the call is ended. I don't even have a screen protector that might be getting in the way.
Anyone else having this issue?
Android 7.1.1 (Build N4F26I)
Haven't had this issue and I used stock for a while, the same build as you are on.. What were you on before? Did you use any scripts or kernel tweaking apps that may have left something on your SD card? I'd look using root explorer or another file manager and delete anything you see in that folder etc/init.d and reboot. (Screenshot attached) If you have nothing in there and don't have any scripts active or kernel apps controlling your screen off I guess it could be faulty hardware. (Power buttons always are jacked up on Nexus devices. I have to hit mine a few times to get it to work...) Maybe try a factory reset if nothing above applies or works that's what I would do. Copy all your stuff to your laptop or a cloud and wipe that baby in twrp. Format data then go to security settings and encrypt again if that's what you want..
Edit
If none of that works I'd contact Google and ask for a replacement.

I had the same issue.
This happens because your previous device had night light activated. When you added and sync your device all the device setting got transferred.
Miui doesn't allow us to use the native Night light setting even though it's already present because of Android.
You have to factory reset and add account back without importing your device setting from previous phone.
Just unselect the part when restoring apps.
Hey,
I had the same issue https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jami.tool.hiddensetting install this app search nightdisplaysuggestion and turn off - Now you're ready to rock

Hi,
I have the following phone:
Samsung Galaxy S20 (SM-G988U1) Ultra 5G (SnapDragon) [Not Rooted]
Android 13 & One UI 5.1
(I run Nova Launcher)
I have both Avast AV and a Notification app that I use and which need to run all the time. For their Battery Usage, I set them both to "Unrestricted" and I did also Disable the "Remove Permissions if App is Unused" setting for both apps.
What's happening is that every time I Reboot my phone, I get a Notification from "Device Care", that says it put the apps to sleep because they were "sending unnecessary notifications and slowing down your phone".
The same thing is happening on my wife's Samsung Galaxy A71 5G phone as well (running same OS & UI as mine), so I know it can't just be my phone. Plus we bought them just a couple of months ago new.
Please help??? I wish to keep my hair in my head!
Thank You!
Dave
Disable global power management.

Developer options>standby apps, when global power management is disabled all bucket states show as active.
Otherwise optimize the phone by dealing with apps on a case by case basis. Limiting data and battery use in the individual app settings doesn't effect global power management. Use Package Disabler or adb edits to kill unneeded apps that are using excessive battery and do not respond to more civilized methods of control.
