Matepad and M Pencil - Huawei MatePad Pro Questions & Answers

Hi there,
I have the MatePad Pro (UK, Wifi) with the M Pencil.
I am having issues with latency and inaccurate pressure and touches.
Is anyone else having issues? I have replaced the M Pencil (returned original) but not much improvement.

Can you show us?

Grids on the screen

Hi guys
I got my korean G and discovered that the screen has some grids on it
Its patterned and seems like some PCB or some slmilar things
I don't know how to explain in English
its quite noticeable when under the sun or when watching the screen under light
you wont notice if you use the phone normally but when the distance is like 15cm you will then see the pattern on the screen
anyone facing this problem with US G or korean G or Japanese G?
Thx for reply in advance
This is a touch sensor.
All phones has it.

I know the mon has sensor
but I suppose we shouldn't be able to see it right?
I don't see anyone talking about this issue
even for other phones with/without ips mon no one talks about this
maybe its the problem of my device?
It's true that I won't notice it in normal use
and the mon is actually performing very very well
but when I go outdoor the grids appear and I can say it's quite noticable
Well, its visible on any device in certain conditions, like direct sunlight.
Its normal.
And it cant be issue of only yours unit, cause in Optimus G the touch sensor is integrated into the display, not an additional layer over it.
Listen to me. That grid you see is normal. Everybody has it. Meaning if you bought 100 Optimus G, all 100 will have it. I have it. My wife phone has it. My friend phone has it. Your phone has it.

Thx for the advice
I can stay with the grids as long as i don't intently look at them
and I just found another problem
the little hole for opening sim card slot is not as smooth as other holes (e.g. the small holes on top and bottom)
i am not sure if thats a defect of my device but I think thats quite likely
any advice on this?

[r] Stylus

Hi there,
I know that Sony smartphones uses a quite different technology (like the sensor on lens) other than the standard capacitive touch screen.
I'm wondering if there is a stylus with a very thin tip that works with our device.
Thanks!

I really doubt but if there's some way to ise it - I would like to know that too.
I just watched 15mins video on YouTube and it's hard to watch what's this girl doing with her ZU - uffff......
I don't want to do that with my Z1
(I know it's something else and ZU isn't Z1.... But still...)

Increasing Oneplus 3 Touchscreen sensitivity (Gloves mode lik SGS5)?

Hello Brothers,
The touch screen of the op3 is not bad at all, however it does not compare with my sgs5 screen, which was ultra responsive. sgs5 stock software had even a gloves mode, which made the touchscreen even more responsive. Now my question, is this adjustable with software like on samsung? if so how can i do this? Im very used to ultra senstive screen and that is the only thing I miss on my Op3.
In short:
Op3 Touchscreen: possible to make more sensitive? Yes | NO
(If true){
// How to?
}
else{
//fck my life
}
Thanks brothers!
Greetings from Amsterdam
bump, if someone know something tell us please!
Would love that option too.

Question POCO F3 excessive touch pressure sensitivity

What I mean by that, is touchscreen reacting to a finger about 0.5-1mm before you press it, which causes all kinds of problems like keyboard misclicks.
My previous/current phone (Realme) also exhibits the same behavior, which was one of the reasons I wanted change it, but with POCO F3 it's actually a bit worse.
Is there any hope for Xiaomi fixing it in future patches (reading old posts it seems F1 had a similar problem fixed with updates) or could it be fixed with custom ROM/kernel/some build.prop tweak? My plan with F3 was to switch to custom ROM sooner than later anyway, because MIUI is honestly quite dreadful.
Or should I just return it and look elsewhere? But it seems these days overly sensitive touchscreen behavior is becoming a new normal sadly. I think Samsung had a dedicated "glove mode", while having sensitivity in a regular mode being... well, regular. Though I haven't tried any of their latest devices (i.e. S20 FE apparently has all kind of touch issues).
a way to compensate for this is to put on the phone a THICC protective glass. beacause using this tipe of protecion is becoming more and more common manifacturers are probably increasing the touchscreen sensitivity

Yeah, I tried that. It actually works throughout a stack of 5 (!) glasses on top of a stock plastic screen protector. So at least 1.5 mm. Probably even more, it definitely works throughout a thick stack of papers.
Don't see how that is acceptable.

Question Does anyone else experience this Samsung display touch glitch?

I purchased a new Galaxy S21 FE a few weeks ago, and I noticed that while the screen is responsive 90-95% of the time, every so often it won’t respond to a tap or swipe, necessitating an extra prod (or a few). Whether it's not pulling down the notification ceiling when swiping, or missing a key (or space bar) when typing despite tapping it, among others.
To reiterate, it’s not a problem with the screen itself because it mostly works fine, but every so often the software interacting with the display that responds to touches seems to glitch. And it’s not connected to any specific part of the screen either. And the phone in general is fast, and there's no lag in animations so it's not a refresh rate issue either.
I should note that a few months ago I returned a new Galaxy A53 with a similar issue. And a relative of mine with the Galaxy A32 5G said she has the same problem as well.
Does anyone else experience this with the S21 FE or any other recent Samsung phones? My 2016 Samsung phone's display/touch has none of these problems, despite being slower in general due to its age, and it being from the Samsung J series.
Anyone?
I come from an s20, and I received the s21 fe this week, and I noticed a little error, in the touch. It's like sometimes he doesn't recognize the fastest or light touch in a few times.
I admit mine does not feel very precise at times. I cannot pinpoint exactly what's going on but it's like it's slippery and I do not have a great accuracy on it. It did have a problem with the screen jumping up and down when scrolling sometimes but with the recent updates, this issue seems to be solved. However I still feel it is not precise or smooth as a S21 Ultra for example.

Please report it in the Samsung members app. With more people reporting these bugs, there's more of a chance that a patch will be released.

Yes, me. Got this phone a few weeks ago and have noticed it randomly not responding to a tap, pinch or swipe. Exact symptoms as you.
Wondered if this was a known issue with Samsungs or not and whether there was a software patch for it.
Any luck?
+1
I already wrote about it somewhere.
Often I have to double-click first or press a button, then a fingerprint will work. I can't find when this occurs. And I'm sure, this comes in December with Android 13.

Actually, in my case it seems to have gotten a little better after the Android 13 update, but it's still a problem.
I was adamant that this issue was the device itself. But funnily enough, having removed the glass screen protector, the problem has disappeared.
It must've been that layer interfering with touch recognition.

In my case removing the protector doesn't help.
I don't use a screen protector on my phone.
I am having the same issue anyone got any fix?
