Well I am trying to stream my music files at my media center pc to my Hermes with WM6.
The wma files play really well. However, the mp3 files do not play.
In the media center forum I read that mobile WMP does not play streaming mp3 but only plays wma.
I think that there must be a solution for this.
Maybe another streaming player ?
Could anyone suggest something ?
Thanks
Orb will do what you're looking for.
yes, I know that Orb does it. Also, Webguide does it.
But I don't prefer to convert to wma on PC side.
Why does not WM6 wmp support mp3 ?
Also, isn't there any mp3 steaming player for WM6/WM5 ?
As the title implies I'm looking for a media player that can play AAX files. I'd prefer not to use the audible winmo program if at all possible. I've tried Kinoma but it doesn't play any audio when I tried to listen to an audio book.

Got my desire today. Been playing around and noticed that my WMA files are not showing up. I'm WM veteran but a complete novice with Android.
According to HTC's page on the desire
http://www.htc.com/www/product/desire/specification.html
it should play WMA files.
Can someone please assist me here? All my music is encoded as WMA 10 Pro and I'd like to be able to listen to it.
BUMP!
Still can't find a solution to this.
I am also looking for any solution how to play my WMA Lossless audio files. Unfortunatelly I have all my music library in this format. I am hoping that there will be soon native support for this audio format.
at least you using a lossless codec. you could just reencode as ogg files. I'm using lossy wma so I think I might end up having to convert to lossless then reconvert to a lossy code like ogg.

Evening all,
Is there anyway of getting .wma audio files to play through the default music player? It says "file not supported"
MP3's work fine.
Cheers
wma files dont work on the stock player...so you have 2 options
1)Use a third party music player
2)Convert the wma into an mp3...i prefer you use oxelon media converter for this
My Nokia 6 does not recognize all my music. Some are formated as mp3 but most are wma. Is anyone else having this problem if how have you found a solution?
Which music player are you using?
WMA support is less widely spread in Android. I use Rocket Player, but WMA support is only in the paid or with ads premium version. But there are other apps out there.
Try VLC.
or foobar2000
Pulsar
So I've installed Google Play Music and it see some music files but not all. Is it possible that when I updated to Oreo 8.1 I lost the codecs?
VLC is really great. Plays all audio & video files; I use it both on pc and on mobile
