No in-app purchases working - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

I hope someone can help with this super weird issue!
I have a Samsung Galaxy S20+ and I've noticed recently that while I usually prefer to remove ads from various apps I use, I seem to be unable to do so.
Any app that requires an in-app purchase in order to remove ads doesn't seem to be working. I click on the button to remove the ads and just... Nothing happens. I can't figure out what setting or issue seems to be blocking this and would really appreciate any advice anyone can give!

Fingerprint scanner/PayPal broken

Since rooting my stock ROM on the Tab S 8.4, I can no longer use the fingerprint scanner to authenticate PayPal. I get a successful read on a scan but the PayPal app disagrees!
I tried re-registering my prints and re-installed both the Play Store version and the Samsung App Store version of PayPal but no joy.
Reading up on some of the Galaxy S5 forums, it seems this is an issue there too. But I wondered if anyone else here had found a fix.
Incidentally, the "Password Box" app works fine with fingerprint unlocking, so it seems to be a rooting issue and PayPal.
Fingerprint scanner/Paypal broken
i have the same issue here and tried the fix posted in galaxy s5 forum but was unsuccessful so i contacted paypal. the following day i got reply from paypal and they said that as of this time only samsung galaxy s5 is supported by such feature. i emailed them back and told them that this is is latest tablet from samsung and it has almost the feature with samsung galaxy s5 particularly on the fingerprint scanner and told them that in the settings there is an option to link fingerprint with paypal so this must be consented/approved by them. i got no reply.

That's interesting to know. Maybe there's hope of getting it working with a later update. I will email them myself and post any useful reply from them here. There is no obvious reason why it should not work on the Tab S series.
fail
I also rooted my tab s, and at first ( the first month after rooting) everything was well. Suddenly tonight, I get all of the error messages telling me the usual swipe faster, swipe slower, and now the option has disappeared entirely! My alt password wont accept my password, therefore I cannot get into or access my $600 tab anymore! I have re booted, I dont know what else to do, it isnt giving me any options.
please help!

you may have to consider "Odin 3.09" in the near future.
SOMEtimes "rooting" defeats various features.
Does it help if you use the option to "hide" root from the system? I think SuperSU has this ability.
I cant get into my system to hide anything!
I dirty flashed rom and it fixed my scanner.

[Q] Need some help finding an App

Hi,
I am currently on the custom CM11 on my Samsung S3. My problem is that my son keeps playing with the cell and unknowingly installs apps or malware on the phone through the ads in the games. Can someone please suggest to me a way to lock this maybe a phone setting or an Apps that wont let him or anyone install anything new on the phone without a password.
Thanks,
Matt

Maybe block the ads altogether with adaway or something similar?
Turn off WiFi and mobile data maybe?
I have tried the adaway and others like it but some apps will still have ads like talking tom etc. as for the second option of turning the wifi and data off that is the only way I currently have but if the phone is lying somewhere and he gets hold of it all bets are off. I am surprised there is no popular app to password protect launching or installing new apps.

[Q] Safe Removal Bloat?

Hey guys, I'm looking to see if anyone knows of what bloat is safe to remove or not
The list on my titanium back-up is super populated and I can see some that I want to freeze for sure but I'm worried if they're tied in to any system apps that could cause my phone to go out of whack.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
I can tell you that you need S-off before you do anything. TB used to be all you needed (I.e., root)...But now without S-off TB won't do anything to system apps.
Plus, I don't know if anyone has worked out this yet for TMO. I disabled Amazon, File Manager, Facebook for HTC, and Kid Zone...And my WiFi calling stopped working.
I'm pretty sure it was f*cking Kid Zone which did it... I've now successfully disabled Amazon and Facebook with no problems They disappear from your app drawer when you disabled them, so no point freezing them. If you disable them, you can then un-install them (if S-off), but again, no one has reported all the potential collateral problems by doing this, so I'd hold off.

Banner ads NOT showing on s20+. Why?

Pretty simple question with an answer I can't seem to find. I've scoured through all of my apps but to no avail.
My s8 has the banner ads for the same app. My s20+ shows no banner ads at all. For that app or any app. I'm wondering why this is and how I can turn it on and off. Some apps won't let you fully access everything with them blocked. Hence me wanting to turn them on when I can. And since day 1 last year, I don't remember any ads being shown on the s20+.
Any help towards me solving this is greatly appreciated.

Are you using VPN (virtual private network)?
You can check in Settings > Connections.
Many adblocker apps are using VPN connections to "block" ads.
I heard that Samsung intregrated something like "Save" or "Secure" wifi into newer Android devices. Maybe this is enabled on your phone / wifi network, and also using VPN, which blocks some banner ads. AFAIK you can disable this secure wifi option ... or add your wifi network to the list of trusted networks which does not need to be "secured".
