Hi Everyone,
I've started to get an issue with the notification shade, it keeps on closing by itself whenever i pull it down and there are no notifications. If there is a notification, the clear button keeps on flashing. I checked the notification logs, the System UI is on top always. I've clear the cache for same but no changes. Anyone elese having the same issue? It's really annoying, please help.

does anyone know how to keep notifications after your phone restarts.
One example is a list of events I had on my calendar, it appeared today and i had a checklist to check it off and dismiss it as it completes.
however after restart, the list is gone. its still on my calendar, but the notification is gone.
is there a way to keep notifications on until i clear them? even after restarting the phone?
On my Samsung Tab S2 and on the OP3 (When running 3.2.7 & 3.2.8) my gmail notification disappears when I go into the email that the notification is for.
I'm finding that on OOS 4.0.2, this notification is still present when I'm in the email. If I then lock my screen, (which I often do if I don't want to reply,) the notification light keeps going. :crying:
Is anyone else suffering this issue?
Thanks in Advance.
for anyone who already updated to Android 8.0, there is an annoying persistent notification.
i made a video of the install:

But more importantly, this app gets rid of the annoying notification:

Thank you for this. I was wondering how I could get rid of that fricking notification. I was essentially having two notifications constantly telling me that my Pebble is connected. Not needed.
Try this,,,
Tap your phone icon, as in making a call,, then tap the 3 dots up by the search,, then settings,,then voivemail,, then notifications,,slide to off
Hi - since upgrading my AT&T S9 to Android 9 / One UI 1.0 I am having a small but annoying issue and I cant figure it out.
I use Textra as my SMS App.
When I receive a new text, I receive a notification icon at the top of my phone, and when I swipe down and touch it, it opens my text and clears the "new text" icon from the notification bar.
However since the upgrade, doing this does not clear the new text notification. It stays there - but then when I swipe down from the top there is no notification showing. And then when I am back at the homescreen it no longer shows the icon. So basically, each time I need to do an extra swipe down to clear the new text notification.
Its quite disruptive and I was hoping someone might be able to advise me on this?
Thank you.
Message the Textra dev
Thanks for the reply.
I've noticed it's not just a Textra issue as in having the same issue with WhatsApp notifications.
Anyone have ideas?
Did you factory reset after updating?
Always advised after a major OS upgrade
I didn't.
I should factory reset and reinstall everything from scratch?

You can try making a backup and restoring it, but that will possibly just bring the problem back
I would start from scratch
Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere. I have just got the note 10 plus 5g. Since getting this I cannot get the whatsapp notification in my status bar. I can get sound, vibration, edge lighting and peeking message. If I miss these then I have no way of knowing I have a message until I open the app. Why can I not get the icon in the status bar where all my other apps notifications show up? Any help would be appreciated. The phone is now on android 10 and pop ups are no longer an option. Not that I want them anyway. Thanks
check notifications in Settings, you might have blocked notifications for WhatsApp by mistake

SOLVED:
In the whatsapp settings which had transferred from my previous phone, the led light notification was set to white. With the note 10 plus not having an led light this was clearly causing some issue. On changing the led light setting to none, the notification now shows on the status bar and badge count.
