My TV is a TCL EP680 and is an android TV but doesn't have a timer, I didn't want to believe that that is possible in 2020... So any workaround's for this issue? Rooting an option? I don't know much about android TV yet.
it actually does have a sleep timer... see in screensaver options

Hi.
Anyone managed to pause and/or record live TV on a TCL? I installed the channels app and it found all the channels from my TV but no sound or schedule so I can't pick anything.
I have a 32ES560

not managed it. I wish it was easy just to just record your screen at any moment. And unfortunately there isnt a major dev scene for TCL custom roms to toally unlock our beast of a tv. I have a older TCL C2. works a treat.
Another channel application

You have to try another channel application and it may be better.I have 40" Smart Android LED Tcl 40ES560 and I am pretty satisfied. Here you can find some application:

Hi there!
I have a Fire TV Stick 4K with an debloated ROM running and hooked up to my older 4K TV.
It's a Sony 55XD85 with HDR10 signal support but I don't like how Netflix HDR looks on this TV.
Fire TV options do not work to get rid of HDR output and TV settings same (it's an ATV Generation 1 TV but global disable possibility is only available in ATV 2).
So do you know if it's possible to forbid (Netflix) HDR output Android-sided or is this not possible because of HDCP or similar?
I had a look in "/sys/class/graphics/fd0" but didn't see anything HDR related.
Thanks,
Nico
Hello,
I have an 55 inch android tv from a local brand, after digging about the tv it seems it's a rebranded TCL tv, the settings app shows "v8-s68at02-lf1v055" as an OS version, and it looks like there is an update to that version (i.e v8-s68at02-lf1v198).
So my question is can i update my tv to that version using the files from TCl since the manufacturer of my tv doesn't provide updates.
Is there a way to dump the software of my screen before updating?
Regards
