So I have been using Lenovo Zuk z2 plus from 2017. The phone worked fine till 2019 with some minor issues which all phones have. But from August 2019, these are following issues I have been facing:-
1. The app switching option which is a basic feature in all mobiles has been not functioning so I can't multitask in this mobile.
2. The quick panel which comes from bottom is not functioning so I have to start WiFi, mobile network, etc options by going to settings.
3. The WhatsApp application stops working after 2am ie it force stops and don't function, I have to start it then it loads messages.
4. All Google apps stopped syncing and don't work eg I cant download any app from playstore, my mails don't come in Gmail app, I can't use Google pay, etc.
5. My phone don't charge after plugging in to charger and I have original charger. After connecting it shows charging and stops and then heats like hell. Sometimes it drains very very very fast and switches off while charging and many times 0% battery shows and phone switches off and then switches on shows 0% battery and then again switches off. This happens many times.
6. My keyboard's 3rd line don't work. When I touch that line, it types upper line or lover spacebar.
7. My phone heats like a oven with using, without using, charging, etc.
I also have minor issues like phone is very slow, volte not working, etc issue.
So I am using original ROM which comes with mobile and Haven't done anything different than this. I am having noghat which update was given by Zuk.
Guys please help me I am in big problem due to this phone and my parents are not buying me a new phone.

Since it has been 3 years now, and from point 5 & 7 the most possible cause is your battery is dead and needs replacing..
It usually costs around 2000 rupees to change from authorized service centre.
Point number 1,2 & 6 could be due faulty touch screen.. You can download screen test app from play store to test and check if there are dead spots.. If it is touch screen issue and it needs replacing then it will be another 1000-2000 rupees approx depending if do original or not..
In this situation I would suggest you to go for new phone as there are many options available like redmi note 8 or realme 3 or 5 series which will not cost you more than 10-12000 rupees.. Which is around the same price as of this phone..
If you do get battery and screen replaced under 4000 then for rest issues I would suggest you to flash custom ROM as you would get a much better ui and latest android 10..
This phone is good to go for atleast 2021.. We have been receiving custom ROM from android 6 and hopefully with developer release of android 11 beta 2 already happened we should have android 11 support soon for z2 as well..
point 6 happened to me earlier and yes this is touch issue which can be fixed by electrostatic effect i.e. you can use lighter (for gas burner ignition or the one which can be found in cigarette lighter). Just provide multiple shocks at non touch responsive area, turn screen off, on and problem solved. believe me this trick saved my money also.

Hi,
So i have some serious issues with my touch pro 2 and i wanted to know if this is ''normal'' or if i should contact HTC.
I first had an Iphone 3G but i wanted a physical keyboard so i brought the touch pro 2, the first few months i just had a few issues but now it's getting really bad let me list them:
1. Random calls, this is the worst one it keeps calling the last person that calls me first i tought it was the headset because it only calls people when the headset is plugged in. Today i jammed the headset button but it keeps calling the last person that called me randomly, since 1 week it also does this without the headset connected even when the phone is just sitting on the table.
2. Keylock, i don't know if i say it right but it is when you lock your phone so you can put it in your pocket and it won't do stuff. It DOESN'T work if i lock it (i go to start press lock and than turn the screen off) it still keeps doing stuff and calling random persons. Also sometimes i can turn the volume down and up and sometimes i can't.
3. Messages, When i send a message after i pressed send 50% of the message still keeps inside the message screen (just looks like i typed a new message)
4. Media player, it doesn't work in any way, shape or form. First it work ''fine'' but now i can't get my music in it i tried multiple ways but it won't work. The worst thing is i connected it to my pc transferd some music and the freaking thing copied ALL my audio from my pc to the phone (i make movies so i have 1000's of sound effects) and those are ALL in my media player exept my music.
5. Random things to start, when i'm doing stuff in opera suddently my text inbox launches or my email for no reason.
6. The on/off/lock switch, it is waaaayyyy to responive sometimes it just turn the device on in my pocket or turns it off.
7. Digital keyboard, i can switch it to 3 different types of keyboards but it's just random if i want to switch it i just tick the button really fast and sometimes the menu will pop-up sometimes it won't. And when i selected the right keyboard it sometimes decides to switch backagain or to some other keyboard.
8. WI-FI, sometimes it will just turn on the wi-fi for no reason, when i go to settings and check if it's on it sais it isn't but it still tries to connect to a hotspot.
9. RAM memory, it's always around 80% with NO applications running when i keep this thing on for longer than 24 hours i can't play video's anymore because it doesn't has enough RAM so i have to turn it off and on again.
10. Album, for some reason it's just giving random error's while it's still working.
This are only my major problems there are alot more i've got, i really get irritated by this phone sometimes i just feel like smashing it. Especialy when it keeps calling random people non-stop for 1 minute long.
When i wanted a new phone i saw that the touch pro 2 has windows on it, now i know windows has some problems so i hoped windows mobile will just work fine but as i can see it won't.
Here is some phone info:
HTC touch pro 2
4 months old
firmware 6.5
didn't mess it up or anything everything is still original.
restored it to factory settings 3 times but it won't help with solving the problems.
Is this just common for this phone or is it just my phone? Because if it is common i will contact HTC that i want my money back because i didn't payed 700 Euro's for a phone that isn't working properly.
Never had a problem like those....
Sounds like a bad handset.
Ditto, sounds like a defective device. Time to cash in on that warranty! Nonetheless, here's a couple of comments corresponding to your issues.
1 & 2
Sounds like your device is registering phantom presses of the call start button.
3
Don't know...
4
Just use drag and drop to your microSD. Don't depend on WMP to sync.
5
Random things shouldn't happen. If it happens even after a hard reset, it's definitely defective.
6
Never heard of the standby button on the TP2 being over-sensitive.
7
To bring up the keyboard selector, you need to tap the tiny triangle on the right of the keyboard icon. Alternatively, you can long-tap on the keyboard icon.
8
Definitely weird.
9
WinMo 6.5 is a RAM hog. But nonetheless, even at 80% RAM usage, you should still have about 46MB free. That really shouldn't stop you from doing anything. Many ppl use a RAM cleaner. My personal practice is to just do a soft-reset every 2 days.

What errors are you seeing?
Hey is there anyone out there also having strange connection issues on Sony Ericsson's LiveView ?
I'm running a HTC Hero with the latest cyanogenmod.
I can pair the device in the setting. The display always just displays 0:00 AM.
when i try to connect in the software it always is listed as disconnected. when i try do build a connection from liveview side (upper left button) it's showing an animation that it's connecting to the phone. the led on the top left starts turning green, then the display freezes and it falls back to displaying 0:00 AM (and not being connected).
when i tap on the listed device in the software (guessing that you connect it that way) the second line saying "disconnected" disapears for a bit, around 5 sec., and then comes back as disconntected.
i once but only once managed to get it working somehow. DON'T ASK HOW, MAGIC, Star constalation, nobody knows, i randomly hit connect on both sides and it turned out to work that one time.
when working the time display on liveview show the actual time on the phone the display and you get all the notifications you could wish for. But at some point i had to reboot and it work never again =(
i had in mind that the my bluetooth headset (also sony ericsson, mw600 nice piece btw., loving it) might intervene somehow but it worked nicly, both at the same time.
please does anyone have an idea?!
really getting frustrated, had such high hopes in that device and really was looking forward to write some cool apps and plugins for it but now ...
First off where did you buy it?
it will release on November 19th in UK .. How did you get it ?
I was thinking the same

Got it from phonehouse, ordered it from the German page got it instantly. So i guess no help just yet ;(. And se support isn't that supporting at all
Prooflinks, please.
Sent from my MSM using XDA App
feel free to order it from

got mine since yesterday, bought on phonehouse website in France.
Several issues for me to , on HTC Desire / Froyo 2.2 non rooted
I didnt fond any trouble to connect it to my phone but then :
First day of use : several crashes and slow down of my phone
forced to remove the battery of the phone... bad feeling
Second day of use : Left physical button is no more responding !!!
(my device falled down from my desk, 1 meter high...I wonder if it comes from this)
Impossible to empty the liveview's cache, even if the application says "all notifications are now removed" they still are in the device memory...got almost 200 since yesterday.
what is working now ? :
all facebook & twitter notifications, calls history, RSS, volume up, volume down.
I didnt received sms yet so i cannot tell, and track seeking does not work.
I wrote to SE about my left button who doesnt work any more...
My order should be here on Monday. Can't wait
Same big problems as above.
I had already posted this in another thread before finding this one.
I am in Paris, bought it on Phonehouse.fr (59 eur w/ free shipping).
- I'm on a HTC Desire Orange FR with Android 2.1
- there are 2 apps to be downloaded from the Android store: LiveWare manager (this seems to manage the connection and the plugins) and LiveView (the actual tool to manage the device).
- the pairing is immediate (in Android's Setting / Wireless / BT) but not the connection, and somehow I got to it only after random manipulations and attemps.
- but the device connectivity from LiveView software comes and goes randomly. When I managed to get it to work it stayed on for about 1 hour. Then I went to the toilet, lots BT connection, came back, no way to restablish it now.
- I've NOT found a repeatable way to connect to the device. Several times the LiveView software crashes, or it severely slows down the phone to the point where only removing the battery could save me.
- I had time to test call and sms notifications from phone to device, however all actions from device to Phone did not seem to work, or they even make LiveView hang. This concerns the music player controls (not working at all), and some feature where from the device you should be able to display the lost calls list on the phone display (but as I said - it hangs the LiveView manager).
Update.
I suspect some problem with the phone Bluetooth software.
Now I cannot make the phone discoverable anymore - tapping the "discoverable" checkbox in the BT settings does not work. Tapping 3-4 times makes the phone hang: it reboots, but it becomes extremely slow and laggish. Battery removal needed.
SE stated on their webpage (though they removed that, only a * marks this) that music control is not compatible with Desire. Sad thing.

That must be it. At least I found out the volume control works (media volume only), but not the play/stop/next/prev track.
LiveView hanging
On Galaxy S with Eclair. Paired and connected OK. SMS alert worked fine. After quarter of an hour though LiveView hanging. I might had tried to get to the home tile and kept select button pressed which could have tried to start the music player, not sure nor intended.
Left button Green LED on at all times, screen of LiveView shows green Sony Ericsson logo. Cannot get LiveView to do anything. I am hoping it'll run out of battery and reboot! Trying to pair with it after phone reboot unsuccessful.

Managed to bring it back to life. Had to hold left button pressed for a looong time till eventually (20sec or more) screen powered off. Then reset via holding left button pressed for 8s+ as per troubleshooting instructions.
cpu goes wild
Huge problems with LiveView on Galaxy S with Froyo.
Aside from dropping connection a lot, it periodically renders the phone unusable requiring a reboot.
top shows btld consuming 90 - 110% of the cpu:
Code:
3354 94% S 11 20820K 1152K fg bluetoot /system/bin/btld
[Q] LiveView
It says on the specs it requires Bluetooth 2.1, my phone has Bluetooth 3, will it work?

I have exactly the same problem on a Desire Z. It seems to me overall that the LiveView is an unfinished product ATM. I hope for a software update very soon!

Approximately 3 weeks ago I got a Huawei Y7 Pro 2018 ( Model: LDN-LX2 ; no English page yet)
Looks like the other similar phones in neighboring markets are the
Huawei Nova 2 (Nova 2 Plus would probably = Y9)
Huawei Y7 Prime
Overall for appx $170 USD it performs well. Coming from Zenfone 2 Max (5000 mAh battery) I have to be more mindful of charging the phone more often.
---------------------------------------------------
Some user interface issues I've noticed so far:
------
1) screen lock internet usage notification is persistent. I turned off all notifications for "phone manager" app but it ignore my request.
2) Some apps will not continue to run in the background even though i give them full permission to run in the background. Google Translate and 1Password are 2 good examples and some music apps seem to also have some issues (see below). Huawei UI/optimization software seems to close background process anyway or otherwise mess with them without user consent.
3) music apps would stop playing music after screen lock + screen off after 7-10 seconds. When you wake the screen back up, the audio will immediately resume. Tried with VLC player and MX Player. Then when I switched to huawei stock music player, no problems. I spend over an hour in MX Player/VLC Player settings menus trying to see why this was happening. Somehow the problem seemed to resolve itself but I don't remember exactly what I did (Google Play update, closeAll open apps, etc). That never happened to me before so it stuck out.
4) Tried to enter recovery mode (hold Vol Up and Vol Down and power button simultaneously from cold start until the Huawei logo flashes with slight vibration). You see the EMUI logo for 2-3 seconds followed by "Software update failed" message. The only option available is "Reboot phone now".
Phone is NOT rooted. I don't know why recovery mode is broken. And why/how recovery mode was broken so easily!?! [you go to recovery mode when regular mode is not working properly ]
5) I cannot permanently disable the Touch-Disable mode. This maybe an issue with XMUI 8.0.0 which took this option away with oreo update. Sometimes I would start my unlock swipe from the top of the phone and then it breaks the swipe with the touch-disable message, forcing me to restart the swipe.
6) I reported some of this to huawei support (via their hiCare app). Their copy and paste reply was
a) clear cache in recovery mode, or
b) factory reset.
If one of these didn't work, then copy the IMEI # and they will assist further. I have sent in the IMEI #s, so we'll see what they say.
q: Does huawei have a forum for its users?
q: Anyone else have similar problems with Huawei device or other android phones?
----------------
Verdict (after 2+ weeks of daily use):
-----------------
This is my first huawei device. I didn't really consider things like update cycles and how reliable the user interface is. It was a budget phone, I needed something quickly as the old phone broke and I was on the move. I was actually looking at the Zenfone 4 Max Pro or Max Plus M1 as I gotten used to Asus and they seem to be decreasing the bloatware over the years.
- It does perform well in that app opening and switching is pretty fast. (no gaming, mostly web surf with multiple tabs, translation software, occasional music or ideo, banking apps). I usually have about 1.5GB ram available at any given time.
- I cannot customize the lock screen apps. The quick setting tiles are lacking, but there is supposed to be a paid app that allows customization.
- Camera is pretty decent. I'm not a camera enthusiast, but for a budget phone the back camera is acceptable. Haven't really tested the front camera too much. I wish the stock camera app had camera/camcorder modes combined so that it only takes one tap to choose which one to begin (you have to switch between camera/camcorder; it's not combined with 1 tap access to either. I've tapped camcorder app thinking it would start recording...but it is just initializing camcorder. You have to tap it again to begin recording.)
- Charging is slower than I would expect from 2018 phone; it takes over 2.5 hours to charge from 3% to almost 100% (1A charger).
- dedicated dual nano-sim slots w/separate microSD card slot :good::good:. Some phones advertise dual-sim but share 2nd sim slot with micro-sd card (note to manufacturers: spend the extra $0.30 USD and keep all the slots separate, eh?).
- startup and shutdown are acceptable 20-25 seconds to home screen and 8-12 seconds to power off.
- scrollshot (scrolling screenshot to capture off-screen stuff in a single image) is built-into the stock screenshot program :good::good:. They also have screen recording which is a nice touch.
- Unboxing: Did NOT come with any case. But it did come with a plastic (not glass) screen protector. Thailand major shops still do not stock the cases for this as it is still a very new variant. Neither did Malaysia. I did find a case that fits 85% and I didn't "have to" cut anything out....but I forgot the model it was intended for. I had to go to 8 shops and I was just glad I found some protection against drops.
The Y9 had fingerprint reader, 4000mAh battery vs 3000mAh, dual front camera (with flash??) and a slightly bigger screen (or better resolution). Plus it came with bonuses (selfie stick, etc). Perhaps the extra $70 USD was worth it? At that price point though, I would look to other brands (e.g. Asus) if the Huawei UI / recovery mode/etc are unreliable.
For most locals the Y7 pro 2018 is very functional. Maybe some of these problems are simple update issues or can be fixed in some obscure settings menu.

Edit 08 May 2018:
Huawei email support left something to be desired But I did go back to the phone shop that I bought the phone and I was able to prove to them that there is some type of defect with the recovery mode. I did this by using another staff member's Huawei and booting it into recovery. Then to prove it further, we took the floor models of the Y9 2018, Y7 Pro 2018, and Y7 2017 and we saw that only the Y7 Pro 2018 model had the error. This was further proof that I am not crazy.
View attachment 4497426
As a final check, a new Y7 2018 was provided out of the box and we checked recovery. No problems with menu (it was in Mandarin initially, but after going through phone 1st launch setup and changing system language to English US, then restarting phone and activating recovery mode, it was in English as shown in photo).
View attachment 4497427
But here is the thing. The phone's system info menu had the exact same specs as the problem models. The only thing different was the IEMI #s.......WTF?

A possible fix
You must do a factory reset within the setting > reset menu. Backup your phone (contacts, settings, etc) and do a factory reset from within the settings > system settings > reset. You can reset without wiping all the internal memory (photos can be retained), but I wouldn't trust that.
Reset took maybe 10 minutes or so, maybe less. The restoring of your files is what takes longer, depending on how many apps and such you had. Then I tested recovery mode (before and after the 1st time startup setup) and it seemed to be repaired.
I still conclude it is a manufacturer defect for recovery mode to be shipped broken or to break so easily. The other problems where I suspect programs are being killed in the background even though they are exempt still exist. The phone overall is still usable, which is a good thing.
note: Huawei recovery boot was reached by holding Volume Up button when phone is restarted or [from power off] Power on phone and press/hold Volume Up button. Hold it until the EMUI recovery menu appears. Phone was NOT plugged in.
Was able to repair the "Software update failed" screen in recovery boot mode. I edited the OP with the details. I have rebooted several times into recovery to test it and it seems fixed. Hopefully for good.
Roms
Im not found firmware LDN-LX2 models by nova 2 lite at anywhere. Have some error while booting up.
I'm planning to buy this from rn4. Someone says that android auto is faulty. Truth?
On my Seat Ateca I used, without any issue whatsoever, an Asus Zenfone 3 for over an year.
Unfortunately, my Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Global is a pain in the ...
I have tried tons of different (quality) cables, including the original Xiaomi one.
Tried with developer options, MTP, starting AA before connecting, after connecting, while connecting, opening AA, closing it, sitting, standing, breathing, laughing...
Never found the reason why, once in a lifetime, it decides to work. It took me from 5 mins to 20 to have it running.
A real pain!
Disable dualapps
In my case I could connect with my original cable, no issues, you just need to disable the "dualApps" thingy, but I have other issues.
1- Waze when using the android auto, can look for directions start navigation it even calculates the time and traffic, but the position won't move, on the map, my position is always displayed on the starting point, but I get audio notifications, ODD!
2- Spotify, every time I connect the cell phone to the android auto, I'm getting a screen that says "Update something" and I cannot use Spotify unless I restart the phone (even if it's working fine on the device)
A redmi note 5 new, I used android auto on a Zenfone 3 for a year or so with no issues.
I figure out how to fix these issues, more or less:
1. Be very sure that for spotify and waze, the battery rules are set to allow everything (not automatically optimized). Our phone use to shutdown background applications for battery optimizations (so, no more waze gps location). Same for spotify.
2. Enable for android auto, spotify, whatsapp and waze the automatically launch on start.
hi, I have same problems with my RN5 Global and my Ateca. tried lot of Roms, all of them needs up to 10 minutes to connect. I have tested other phones, S7, A5, no problems. only RN5 have this problems. it seems to have MTP issues in the firmware
The Mi Mix Fold is great as a media device, but it is full of bugs, there are many problems with this device:
1). the rom, the software on this phone is china miui and there is no custom rom, meaning you are stuck with whatever china region related miui issues such as: 1). no caller name when someone is calling 2).
keyboard gets switched to china keyboard after every restart 3).
many apps won't work simply because the phone is china or in english, so if you leave somewhere else in the world, apps that support your native language might not work properly, 4).
if you set your region in the phone to somewhere outside of china, you get annoying wifi disconnects that are only fixed when turning off and wifi on 5).
because of the above feature unless you open the apps to check occasionally if you received messages, you will miss out on notifications since they can randomly stop working until you turn wifi off and on again, or enter the app manually (I tried locking the app, setting it to auto start, also turning off battery saving options but it keeps happening and whatsapp for example is a pain to handle since I have to manually open the app to see if I have messages.
if anyone knows how to solve any of the above issues or would like to share their experience about this please post a reply, thanks everyone!
Please make a global rom, request to All developed

Hi. I used to have this problem also with my Xiaomi Fold, and after a long troubleshooting period and reading ur post, found the issue are the towers in US, the 5G signal being inconsistent or weak. I installed the app Connection Stabilizer Booster/google store and since then (1month+), notification delay is 5-10mins maximum, no phone calls missed. Most of times on 4G, was showing 5G prior. Hope helps.

Hey its been so long since I posted this, around December I got the mi 11 ultra again and sold the mix fold at a loss, because it has no market here, but it was the best decision I made, the mix fold dissappointed me everywhere, low refresh rate screens, bad cameras, no wireless charging, very bad software support (still on android 11), the mi 11 ultra fixes all these issues and does more, this mix fold was my first and last foldable phone, horrible device in everyway compared to the mi 11 ultra
Instead of the Mi 11 Ultra, I just bought an Oppo Find N after the inner screen on my Mix Fold broke.
(it had been showing signs of damage i.e. stuck/dead pixels, and then one day I pulled it out my pocket, and the screen was suddenly busted and non-functional)
Anyways, just wanted to say that the 8GB Oppo Find N is overall waay nicer than my 16GB Mix Fold was. This is a PSA.
Also, if anyone is interested in buying a Mix Fold with a busted inner screen, let me know. I'll let you figure out the repair.
