I am interested in this phone for use on T-Mobile US. Is there any way to unlock the rest of the TMUS bands along with the Sprint bands?
Thanks.
I'm not sure what your question is but I am currently on MetroPCS under TMobiles network. I also run dual SIM perfectly fine.

Hi Everyone and thanks in advance,
I have a T-Mo Galaxy S4 that was SIM unlocked through unlockerDotnet.
I've heard that the T-Mo S4 is better than AT&T for a variety of reasons, but more importantly that it picks up all of T-Mobiles HSPA+ along with AT&T's network. So in theory, having it sim unlocked, I could fully utilize t-mobile's service and at&t's service to their full potential. Can anyone confirm this?
Reason I ask was I was speaking with a TMO rep once and he said the international unlocked version wouldn't pick up on the full spectrum of TMO frequencies, but it should be fine with AT&T. Ideally I want to get into a situation where I have the option to jump between the two through their full spectrum, or any mvno's that use their towers as well.
Thanks for the clarification! Details and specifics appreciated!

T-Mobile's phone will work on both AT&T and T-Mobile however im not sure if the 4g LTE will work on AT&T's Network but either way you will only be able to use one or the other at any one time.
I am trying to sell my S3. I only used this phone on Telus, never used it before on an AWS network carrier.
I unlocked it using that *#197328640# trick on 4.1.1 and it works perfectly on Telus, Rogers, Bell, etc.
Since this model is SGH-T999V will it work on WIND or Mobilocity because when I search for available network operators with my Telus sim card in the phone it only finds VIRGIN,EXT and TELUS.
And the available network modes are only GSM and WCDMA only. There is no AWS option.
DO I need a Wind sim card to get AWS to show up? Just want to make sure before I sell this phone that it will work with wind or mobilocity
You will need Wind Simcard to make sure. But I do believe it will work that way. When you set the Wind APN with a Wind Sim card, hopefully AWS will show.
Hi,
I have an unlocked vs986 and am going to be in Canada for a while.
Does anyone know if I can get lte up there using a Canadian sim?
I'm New to tinkering at all with smartphones but from what I see in the spec sheet, it looks like the vs986 can Support lte bands 2,4,5,and 13.
The canada providers like rogers, bell,telus...seem to support band 4.
Does that mean I can expect lte assuming I use their sim ?
Thank you

Yes.
I'm looking to bring an unlocked AT&T Note 5 over to use on VZ.
Is it possible to flash VZ firmware and have the phone work just as if it was a VZ to begin with (and receive 3g data, text, and calls) or is that something that's hardware related and flashing the new firmware won't help?
I've found this information, so I know the consequences of using an AT&T phone on VZ normally...
"If you're hoping to use your unlocked AT&T phone on T-Mobile, you should have no problems. Both carriers run their networks on GSM technology, so once your phone is unlocked, just pop in your new T-Mobile SIM card and you'll be up and running. AT&T and T-Mobile both use Band 4 for their LTE service, so 4G LTE devices should be able to access the network without issue.
Although Verizon uses the CDMA standard and not GSM, you still may be able to use your AT&T 4G LTE device on Verizon's LTE network, as they both run on the same spectrum; so LTE data should, theoretically, work fine. However, it's unlikely that you will be able to make or receive calls and texts, or access data over Verizon's 3G service.
Sprint is also a CDMA carrier, but runs its LTE network on a different band of spectrum than T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon; it may accept selected AT&T devices on its plans, but you'll need to check first."
I'm curious, because I rooted an flashed the unlocked software on a friends VZ's s7 for use on Republic wireless, so I know this sort of thing can be done. I'm just not knowledgeable about the differences in these 2 scenarios.
Thanks so much in advance!
You can't flash any firmware on the AT&T note 5 other than official AT&T note 5 firmware because the bootloader is locked. I'm not sure about the part of using this Note 5 on Verizon.

Hello all!
I have an LG G7 from India, model G710EAW. I moved to the US from Canada and the phone isn't entertaining T-Mobile or ATT SIM cards. When I insert them, service works for a little bit and then immediately switches to "Emergency calls only". T-Mobile's website says my phone IMEI is compatible with its service.
The strange thing is that the phone has two SIMs from Canada roaming - one on the T-Mobile network and another on ATT. No issues whatsoever. And when I check the bands in Engineering Mode, I can see one roaming SIM running on LTE Band-4 on T-Mobile. The other roaming SIM is switching between LTE Band-2 and LTE Band-5 on ATT.
T-Mobile uses bands 2,4,5 mainly, and ATT uses 2,4,5 among other bands. This leads me to believe it's some kind of a network restriction preventing my phone from latching onto these networks directly.
I've made tons of calls to T-Mobile and ATT so I'm no longer interested in pursuing them with this.
I'm wondering if cross-flashing a different firmware might help fix this issue. I remember reading on this subreddit that the Google FI firmware may work for T-Mobile bands. I'm not sure I understood that correctly.
Can someone confirm if that's possible? Does this make sense? I'm hesitant to buy a new replacement phone when my G7 works so well.
Thanks!
