Wireless mirroring - cast working roms - Lenovo ZUK Z2 (Plus) Questions & Answers

Guys, I wanted to create this thread to see which roms have working Miracast.
As i can see from rom threads:
1. PE plus pie (I remember it worked for me)
2. Arrow pie
3. Lineage 16
What about other roms?
Not working in SuperiorPie as I used it for long time, didnt test on Aosip Pie but from thread they say its not fully working.

My LOS 16 install worked, not the current LOS 17. Not sure about other people

Update to a newer version of a ROM using updated files from another ROM

I was wondering, theoretically (I'm not planning on doing it, I was just interested as I am trying to find out more about ROM development and how it works), could I take an updated ROM, e.g. Lineage OS 15.1, that is not supported by my device on the latest version, but was supported on the last version, and take a ROM that is working on android 8.1 (the same as Lineage OS 15.1), and combine them together to make a working Lineage OS 15.1 port for my phone.
Is this how porting works?
Sorry if this is the wrong place for a question like this, but I wasn't sure where else to put it.

OP3 custom ROM that supports multi-window multi-resume?

Android Q will have native support for multi-resume (running two apps side by side without pausing the inactive one) regardless if the app supports it or not.
However, It's known that some Xiaomi devices, even in Android Oreo or Pie, have this feature (Pocofone F1 for example).
Is there any custom ROM (LineageOS, Ressurection Remix, etc) or Magisk module that has this feature as well? Android Q will take a while to get stable, and if I could use this feature on my OP3 before that, it would be awesome.
Thanks

Screen Cast, Wireless Display, Anycast, Miracast

On a UsU unlocked H811, I was testing different PIE based ROMs from DEvelopers section.
CAST function did not work, and I was told by head developers that it does not work on PIE based ROMs.
Went back to OREO based custom ROMs (Linege 15.1, Dot 2.5, Atomic 8.1, Candy 8.1) , but none of them were able to find any CAST devices.
ROM RR-O-v6.2.1-20181107-h812-usu-unofficial was able to show list of CAST devices, but could not connect to them.
I would like to know, whether CAST works on any custom OREO or NOUGAT ROMS ?
Thanks!

My further custom ROM testing revealed , that CAST does not work on any custom OREO or NOUGAT ROM which I have tested.
According to some other device's forum posts, editing /system/build.prop and /system/etc/wfdconfig.xml files, maybe makes it work.
Currently I am using a fully functional (CAST works!) LG Nougat ROM, going to check out mentioned files and compare them to non-functional custom Nougat ROM.

What's the newest available Rom for the t310?

I'm relatively new to custom roms, but after reading quite a bit of documentation I managed to flash my Galaxy S5 with Lineage OS 17.1 without issue.
Was looking into flashing my Galaxy tab 8.0 T310 with Lineage, but I'm having difficulties figuring out which version to download, I've heard some people say 14.1 lags, others say it's fine, same thing goes for the more rare Lineage 16 builds.
I guess my question is simply, which version should I try out? What has worked for you?

Question OnePlus Camera For Any AOSP ROM?

hi i was wondering if anyone knows how to install the stock camera of the OnePlus 9 Pro on any AOSP Rom Or at least one that can be used in lineage
it hasn't been fully successfully done yet. CrDroid was working on it. People also might be waiting for official A12 and A12 based ROMs since I'm sure they're going to start focusing on it soon instead of still messing with OOS11.
