Hello, I ran the SIM unlocking tool and it said that the phone was unlocked but I cannot get my SIM to work. It asks me for a PIN. Do you have a PIN to unlock the phone or is there something else I should do, and is the PIN that it's asking for relating to the SIM or the phone? thanks.
i got four unlock codes for my s III. how do i use the provider unlock code??? will it unlock the phone permanently??
Power off the phone, put in a sim from another carrier, enter your unlock code when prompted to do so.
Where did you get the unlock codes? Normally, only one code can sim unlock the phone.

i got the codes from unlock.my i used the network unlock code to use a different sim card but there is supposed to be a way to permanently unlock so that i can just put any sim in it and not need to do a network unlock everytime. the codes they gave me are:network unlock, provider unlock, sub provider unlock, and defreeze

Once the phone is unlocked using the network unlock code, it will be permanently unlocked. The other codes aren't necessary unless you hard lock your sim and phone.
Thank you
If I bought this phone on swappa unlocked could I put in my Verizon SIM card and still unlock the bootloader since the phone is unlocked? Or will my Verizon SIM card lock the bootloader?

The sim card has nothing to do with being able to unlock the bootloader.
I have a fully updated Mi Mix 2 it has firmware verison 12 on it and I want to unlock the bootloader but it says I need to turn off Wifi and install a SIM card. I do not have a SIM card to install and it won't work since I only have Verizon. Is there any other way I can unlock the bootloader?
I wasn't planning on using a SIM Card. I'm looking to unlock BL. The process requests me to put in a SIM. The phone cannot read my current SIM.
1. Should there be any problems if I put in my friend's SIM just to activate the 7 days unlock process?
2. Do I need the SIM later after the 7 days have passed and I'm proceeding to unlock the BL?
3. Can I use another SIM with the phone later on if I'm switching use case, or will it somehow be bound to the SIM I put in when unlocking BL?
No No Yes No
