[Q] how do i use the provider unlock code - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

i got four unlock codes for my s III. how do i use the provider unlock code??? will it unlock the phone permanently??

Power off the phone, put in a sim from another carrier, enter your unlock code when prompted to do so.
Where did you get the unlock codes? Normally, only one code can sim unlock the phone.

i got the codes from unlock.my i used the network unlock code to use a different sim card but there is supposed to be a way to permanently unlock so that i can just put any sim in it and not need to do a network unlock everytime. the codes they gave me are:network unlock, provider unlock, sub provider unlock, and defreeze

Once the phone is unlocked using the network unlock code, it will be permanently unlocked. The other codes aren't necessary unless you hard lock your sim and phone.

Thank you

[Q] Sim/Bootloader Unlock

Hai!
I have a question:
I have a Xperia Play that is Sim Locked and so i cant unlock my Bootloader.
My question is, if i pay my cellphone company to Sim unlock my Play, will i be able to unlock my bootloader after that? Or unlocking the bootloader only works on phones that are native sim unlocked?
Thanks!
It is still possible to unlock the bootloader of your phone as I have a sim locked phone but unlocked it and unlocked the bootloader altough to do this you are going to have to sim unlock your phone with a software like omnius which uses a testpoint connection which gives you the option to unlock the bootloader of your phone it will not work if you unlock your phone using a unlock code.

[Q] Unlocking the bootloader, unlocks the sim?

Hey there.
As the title says, i have a sim locked phone.
If i unlock the bootloader, will i still have to make a sim unlock or the sim will be unlocked as well ?
if no, i search a few sites that provide a software to make a sim unlock.
whats the diference from the unlock by code?
whats the best/sheapest one avaliable?
Regards
Filipe
Sim-unlocking and bootloader unlocking are two different things.
PAID bootloader unlock maintains DRM keys (TrackID still works) AND SIM/network unlocks the phone.
Official bootloader unlock from http://unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com does NOT unlock the SIM, erases DRM keys but is free.
As far as I know, there's no free SIM unlock software. In Canada, it's ~$6 CAD to buy an unlock code.

Unlocking bootloader?

if i unlock the bootloader will it unlock my network so i can use a different sim?
I have tried buying a code online but they keep refunding me saying my phone is less than a month old
Is there a way round this to get my phone unlocked from Tmobile?
Thanks guys/gals
No it won't, you need a SIM unlock code for that

If i unlock my branded phone, will i be able to unlock bootloader?

So, i have a branded phone and can't unlock the bootloader.
Will i be able to unlock the bootloader if i unlock my phone by contacting the phone network operator?
Also, will these two options do the same thing with my phone?
unlock at: phone network operator
unlock at: http://unlock-bootloader.com/unlock/

Removing the SIM lock (which is what you appear to be referring to) does not give one the ability to unlock the bootloader. However, I believe unlocking the bootloader will also remove the SIM lock. I can't say for sure, since my version of the Play (R800x, the Verizon CDMA one) does not use a SIM card at all.
Thanks for the answer!

[Q] Alternate method to enter SIM unlock code?

Is there an alternate way to enter the SIM unlock code (other than booting phone with unsupported sim inserted)?
For older/other phones there was a code like *smth*#UNLOCKCODE*# etc; wondering if something similar is available for this phone.
Thanks,
Mike
You need to contact with your career and them gives you a specific code. In my case (orange) i have this code without problems. Small charge required for that. This method take off simlock permanently

Yes, I already have the code you mention. I was just wondering if there's another way to enter it (not via the SIM Unlock screen).
I think this is only way to do that. I had sgs2 earlier and there was another way to unlocked phone without code and was very easy (by app). But here i dont have so much knowlege with simlock unlocking
