I want to get good CDMA phone (Like Motorola Droid Maxx or Verizon iphone 4s) for my Mom in India. She uses Reliance CDMA phone. Is it possible to unlock the CDMA phones in USA and use them in India. They don't have a sim how can we make them work ? I have no clue about CDMA phones. I saw few posts and retailers selling USA based CDMA phones in India. But i am wondering how to make them work. Do CDMA phones come with SIM as well these days ????
You have to find out if the provider will add ESN's to their network. Verizon and Sprint will not do it here, but things are run a little more shady on that side of the world!

Which should I buy and take into consideration the ease of rooting it? Also there is a dual sim international version floating around at some online stores.
The region specific unlocked is for north and south america while the other is for any GSM carrier.
I am happy using GoSmart as my cell carrier which is a MVNO of T-mobile. So I could buy a T-Mobile locked phone but would like unlocked in case I switch in the future. The S6 seems very durable so I may keep it for a while.
I was on a chat session last night with a OnePlus sales rep. He had informed me that there were 'plans' to release another variant of this phone, potentially to cater to the AUSTRALIAN, or other international markets.
This is good news, should it come true, for fans of this phone who don't own the device; as it's severely lacking bands on its 3G/4G radio.
This phone has fantastic specs at a good price. The only thing preventing a purchase from the majority of the southern hemisphere (there's actually a BIG market there, OnePlus :cyclops, is the unnecessary blocking or availability of more 3G and 4G LTE bands. In Australia, band 28 / 700Mhz is commonly used for the fastest 4G connections with the premium carrier int his county (Telstra) and there's others for different AUS carriers also not supported. A massive blunder in my book.
Does anyone have any more information on their plans or availability? I couln't get anything out of the guy because he was 'not a developer'.

Could be. Only "rumoured" specs out there. Would make sense if its a phone released in the next 20 days. Probably KNEW the information but was cautious about giving it out.
Intriguing.

Is this the only phone we're potentially dealing with though, the OP3T in next 2-3 months?
I am looking at buying a Galaxy Note 10÷ 5g Unlocked International version, just wondering if it will work on T-Mobile or At&t networks?and if so what would I lose or gain from it?Thank you for any info on this matter.
You won't get 5G in the states. On top of that, you will experience slower LTE due to partial compatibility with carrier aggregation. You lose access to band 71 on T-Mobile and some bands on AT&T. Samsung Pay functionality limited to whatever is offered by the region you imported from.

Ok Thank you I guess I will wait till they release in the states for the other carriers.
I was about to pull the trigger on the S22 Ultra but came across the X80 pro and did a lot of research - I'm now convinced it's the best camera phone currently on the market.
I noticed it's available on Amazon UK for £1200, but would prefer a decent contract. Has it not been officially released in the UK or why are none of the mobile companies offering them? Also saw it cheaper here, but it's from Hong Kong so worried about service in case there is an issue with the phone (got screwed by eGlobal some years ago):
Vivo X80 Pro 5G (Global Version) Dual SIM 12GB/256GB
Global version. 12GB Ram / 256GB 2nd batch pre order : Available to ship out 4th July, 2022
www.wondamobile.com
Its unlikely any of operators in the UK will offer the device (most providers will stock Oppo or Oneplus but never Vivo) and Amazon is your best bet or wait a few months for a discount
Odd. Best camera phone ever made, released for European market, and operators decide to skip. Samsung must be happy. Oh well, at least I will have something unique
I'm not sure about the policy of carriers in the UK with respect to provisioning VoLTE services for this phone. The Voice Over LTE (4G) toggle only appears in settings if the carrier's SIM enables the option. Without VoLTE switched on, you can connect on 4G and 5G for downloads, streaming, etc., but all voice calls will drop to 3G. Carriers around the world are beginning to shut down their 3G networks. They have all been decommissioned in the United States, and Canada is following suit in two years. T-Mobile in the US will provision VoLTE for this phone, but other American carriers won't. None of the Canadian carriers will provision VoLTE for this device. Without local 3G networks, if VoLTE is not enabled the phone will try to drop the call to a non-existent network and it won't go through. You may want to enquire with your UK carrier before ordering the phone.
I bought this phone last week from Amazon. I can confirm that VoLTE is available using the EE network.
