Which should I buy and take into consideration the ease of rooting it? Also there is a dual sim international version floating around at some online stores.
The region specific unlocked is for north and south america while the other is for any GSM carrier.
I am happy using GoSmart as my cell carrier which is a MVNO of T-mobile. So I could buy a T-Mobile locked phone but would like unlocked in case I switch in the future. The S6 seems very durable so I may keep it for a while.

Q: Touch pro 2 sold in USA (Sprint - Verizon) vs international version

I saw on ebay touch pro 2 locked for t-mobile - sprint an other carriers
It looked different (no stainless steel rim and looks like plastic housing)
And I wonder is there any differences (in specs) between both versions in terms of:
- support for GSM networks in europe
- sales package content
- ability to unlock using codes and software sold on the internet
or should i consider both the same
Neither one are compatible with Europe 3g, you can still get gsm bands working, if you need a Touch Pro 2 working with Europe 3g I suggest you buy the unbrand and unlock TP2 and not a north american phone.
the north american version is being sold for about 550$ on ebay
while international version is sold unlocked in retail shops for 800$
thats why it was tempting
so sad 3G cannot work
thanks a lot
Actually the CDMA versions have Quadband GSM and European 3G support along with the CDMA support! The question though is if you can even get the phone unlocked and if it will accept any SIM other than the one from the carrier it was made for (to allow roaming).

T-Mobile iPhones are not unlocked if purchased directly from T-Mobile. If you purchase iPhone from Apple in the T-Mobile variation (which is the same model as the Verizon version), it will be unlocked.
So I'm like 99% certain the S6 does not come unlocked from T-Mobile, like all other T-Mobile phones.

lte data will work on verizon's network but cdma voice will get rejected on verizons network
No, absolutely not unlocked. Actually a bunch of threads on the subject already... the phone is currently unlockable unless you are a LONG standing t-mobile customer

Verizon Galaxy S6 edge plus w/ T-Mobile sim card

So I am currently in possession of a Verizon branded S6 edge+ which I am planning to use with TMo, as far as the XDA community I've seen this subsection as well as subsections for the different carries ex. TMo S6 edge+, Verizon S6 edge+ etc I was wondering what the difference was, also was wondering which ssection, my guess is the Verizon subsection as the phone's innards are specific to Verizon's version but I'm just asking before I get Into the rooting (rather be safe than sorry)
Also has any one else done this? Is there any discrepancy with the signal or anything else?
Any help would greatly be appreciated, thanks
Verizon and tmobile use different technologies. Tmobile is gsm and verizon is cdma

The new Samsung S6 Edge+ and Note 5 Verizon phones can also use sim chips.
Both of those phones have sim chip slots which are the same size as the T mobile and
Note 5's sim chip slots.
All you need to do before you do anything else is to borrow a friends T mobile or AT&T
sim chip for a quick test, then power down your phone, insert the T mobile or AT&T sim
card to make sure it works properly and that's it, you don't need to do anything else.
The Verizon Note 5 and S6 Edge+ do not need to be unlocked for them to work with
the AT&T or T mobile netework and sim chips.
Both the Verizon S6 Edge+ and Note 5 have the capability to use the same mobile
bands and frequencies which T mobile and or AT&T networks use.
It is very true that older Verizon phones did not have sim chip slots and could not
be used with any sim chip, but in the past couple of years but thanks to Samsung
changing the internals of the new phones they now can work with sim chips just fine.
I am sure you know that the Verizon S6 Edge+ or the Verizon Note 5 cannot be
rooted at all even if they are used with a T mobile sim chip on Tmobile/AT&T network.
That means you will not be able to flash any custom roms, kernels or custom recoveries.
The Verizon S6 Edge+ and Note 5 even if used on the Verizon network cannot be rooted
and cannot be flashed with custom roms, custom kernels and recoveries either.
But the phone will work just fine on the Tmobile or AT&T network.
The only advantage I see in getting a T mobile sim card and using
it with your Verizon S6 Edge+ on the T mobile network would be a
savings of at least $25 bucks a month if you only have one line of
service and even more if you have more than one line of service.
Good luck,
Merry Christmas

Need help US Carrier unlock VS T-Moble model phone

I'm looking to upgrade to the S9+ and looking for advice on whether or not to get the US carrier unlock version or the T-Mobile version. So those of you who went with the US carrier unlocked S8+, What are the Pros and Cons of it please?
You need to get an Exynos S9+, better performance and bootloader unlocking
I would check and make sure the international version supports bands 66 and 71 first (600 mhz). I've looked all over but I can't find that info anywhere yet.
If you are financing I'd buy unlocked from Samsung.com, If paying full price buy it directly from T-Mobile directly. If you plan to have it SIM unlocked T-Mobile branded phones from Samsung.com are harder (not impossible, but not instant when you are eligible through the Unlock App). If the S9 is like the S8 you should be able to switch to each carriers firmware automatically after it's unlocked. I found the carrier bloat to be very light on the S8, and doesn't prevent you from using most features compared to the factory unlocked model (Verizon excluded).

Should I Buy The Samsung Galaxy S9 (Unlocked) Or The Samsung Galaxy S9 (Verizon)?

I am giving some thought to buying a Samsung Galaxy S9. I am currently on Total Wireless, which is a Verizon MVNO. At some point in the future, I will probably switch to Cricket, which is an AT&T MVNO. With that in mind, should I get an unlocked version or the Verizon version?
