I need solutions, please.
A few days ago, after coming out from shower, with my almost wet hands, I tried to open my screen with fingerprint. It had difficulty in reading my fingerprint, I insisted, yet it couldn't read and out of nowhere it said "fingerprint hardware is unavailable". Then I lost it also in the settings.
After searching some possible solutions, I rebooted to safe mode, but it wasn't there again. I uploaded to Android 10 just this morning but nothing changed.
Any suggestions?

Today after I finished a run, my fingerprint sensor stopped working for the 2nd time. After I finished my run, I tried unlocking my phone with the sensor but didn't get any response. A red message on the lockscreen said something like "Fingerprint hardware not found". I restarted my phone, and now the fingerprint section under security was missing completely. Like I said, this is the 2nd time this happened. I contacted support and they recommended I do a factory reset, which did manage to restore the fingerprint scanner.
I suppose I could reset again, but could this be indicative of a more serious hardware issue? I feel there is a connection to something about running since both times it quit immediately after. Could it be sweat, the running itself, the nike plus app? This is frustrating, has anyone else had similar issues?
Hello all,
This is my second Pixel C, the first failed just a little over a year after I purchased it (the half screen failure issue). This one I've had for about 2 months. It was working fine until yesterday. Suddenly WiFi will just stop working. While searching for networks it finds none, even though there are usually about a dozen in range. It happened yesterday, I tried rebooting, clearing the cache, resetting network settings. What finally fixed it was repeatedly just turning WiFi on and off in quick succession. Today again it's doing it and I've had no luck resurrecting it.
There was a security updates installed a few days ago, I wonder if that may have played a role.
So far I've seen no other reports of this problem. Curious if anyone else is experiencing it, and if so, if you've found a way to resolve it.
All,
earlier last week my T835 got the OTA upgrade to Pie, upgrade went quick and smooth ...
Yesterday however, took the tablet from the charger and wanted to unlock by entering my PIN, got message "PIN incorrect", Thought I made a typo and re-entered my PIN, same result ... my PIN would no longer be accepted !!! Now, I was 100% sure I didn't change my PIN, so got really confused & scared .
Now I have my Screen Lock Type set to "PIN, Intelligent Scan", so managed to unlock using my face (had to change glasses ).
So I thought to check & change the PIN, but when you want to enter the "Secure Lock Settings" menu, your PIN is requested and again I got stuck, my PIN was not accepted and reported incorrect ...
So a catch-22, decided to restart the tab and see ... and guess what, after the restart, my original PIN is working/accepted again , anyone had this before??
thanks, Marcher
It could be your keyboard got into a funky state and it cleared from the restart. This could have been accidentally swiping something from a previous session or your cat walked across the tab or the dog licking it? Good to hear restarting resolved the issue.
I have the same thing on my Tab S4 since the Pie update installed. It's happening overnight, every night and it's not just the PIN. It is affecting Pattern and Password also. Resetting the tablet fixes it. I assume this is some third party software that Pie doesn't play nice with rather than a lack of QA, although I don't see anything other than Nova and Swiftkey that could be affecting it and my virus scans are coming up clean. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas what it could be?

ok, so I am not the only one ... however can add now that this keeps on happening, every 2-3 days of usage, all of a sudden " wrong PIN "
Restarting fixes it ... I have no other tools running on mine ...

Hi, i have a big issue with this phone, i bought it like 2 weeks ago.
Since the 2nd day of use, i started to experience this issue, sometimes and usually when im not using wifi but mobile data, the screen goes to lockscreen, if i try to unlock it will lock again and that happens a couple of times, maybe 2, 3, 4, 5 times, sometimes i have to press lock button and try again. its really annoying, because somtimes it doesnt happen in a lot of time and then after 1 hour in the street and while im using it it locks and unlocks like crazy.
i did a soft factory reset but didnt work, i even tried in safe mode and it still happens.
yesteday i noticed that it even wakes up for no reason, that happened while i was driving in a highway, it suddenly wakes up like if i touched it, i disabled every feature about auto waking (like 2 touch, motion detection) but it still happens.
the only thing that makes it stop is if i switch airplane mode, so i guess maybe its something related to network (not wifi or location or mobile data because i disabled those and still happened), but when it is in airplane mode it will work fine, obv thats not a real solution.
i tried disabling and uninstalling a lot of apps but i cant figure out whats making this, im pretty sure its software problem, something related to network but i dont know.
do you have any ideas? even if i take it to tech service it will be hard to show them because sometimes it doesnt happen in hours.
anybody has an idea what could be causing my phone to lock for no reason while using it on the street?
Your phone gone kaboom
I have same problem, the problem is caused by the weak signals, which means that your phone connectivity is constantly changing, for example on a highway or in a basement. Solutions I have none, just waiting samsung to make a fix
Yes, thats exactly the problem. When signal is weak the phone locks or unlocks. I asked for a new phone at the store and they gave me a new one.

Btw i don't think this is a software problem because if it was a software problem all phones would having this issue. I think it's a problem with some hardware failing in some phones. IMEI of failed phone is 356711101439414 check if yours is similar
Hi
I'm searching for anyone else having the same problem as me and other people that i've seen in Lenovo Forums
I'm having different problems, but the most important for me is the proximity sensor, because once I answered a phone call, it makes impossible to hang up because the display turns black and it doesn´t "wakes" until the phone call has ended. The same problem with audios in whatsapp.
Another problem is that Moto Actions like turn on the flashlight with a shake, and open the camera with a twist doesn´t work anymore. Plus, the vibrator started to fail, having an unusual behavior until it just stopped.
And the device is not recognized correctly in any computer I've tried, it just appears as "unknown device", and the device doesn't show the options that use to appear when connected to a computer, it just says "charging".
I want to think that all of them are software problems, and not hardware problems, because they all started after the june 2019 update, and, as I said, there are other people having the same problems, and I think it would be a big coincidence if all of us have the same problems with our hardware.
If any of you have had the same problems, could you tell me if you could find a way to fix it? Or, anyone has any idea how could I solve, at least the proximity sensor problem, it would be better if the device don't turn off the screen anymore during phone calls.
I've tried reinstalling the drivers in 3 different pc's, and any of them worked, but when I tried with another device (Moto z2 force) they all worked. I've done factory reset three times, and one hard reset, with no changes. Could someone help me?
Thanks for reading.
Well, sound like... simply failing phone ? RMA ?

Do you think that? I've had this phone for a year and a half, and I've never had any issue, until the last update on june 2019.
Maybe is a coincidence and my phone started to fail just after the update, but to be sure, I want to know if there's someone else having the same issue, and maybe someone could fix it.
I've had these problems a few months ago too, but back then I was thinking it was related to a hardware problem cause I had to send my phone to fix the screen (broken glass) and after that I noticed that the moto actions wasn't working properly, as the flash light from the frontal camera and the most annoying of the problems, the proximity sensor that would stop working when I got a call or audios in whatsapp. All of these was solved a couple weeks ago tho, after I had to fix my screen again (yes, 2 times in 3 months, congrats), just days before the android pie was released, so I can't say exactly what fixed it
