Hi,
I'm using Ancora's CM11-20140528 ROM and everything worked well until I decided to use the ROM built-in encryption feature.
after the phone done encrypting itself I could not get my 3g internet connection to work at all.
I had a similar issue with my previous version of Ancora CM-base ROM, the only difference was that in the past I could go into flight-mode for a moment and have 3g internet connection back online.once I came out from the flight-mode.
dose anyone familiar with this situation? any information will be great!
thanks,
Jonatan.

Hi Guys,
Noticed today that my WIFI won't turn on. You can try, it attempts it - but ultimately, it goes to the off motion again.
I've tried going to the following and backing up the WPA Supplicant file, but still the same. data/misc/wifi/
I'm using the ROM MIUI 9 from Xiaomi.eu v. 7.10.26 - Rooted.
It's worth pointing out WIFI has been running fine on this since I installed it (5-6 weeks ago).
EDIT: Just checked, and the WIFI Mac is 02:00:00:00.00.00 Will look into this, not sure how its happened as I didn't change a thing!
Thanks!
EDIT:
So I restored from To October 15th, wifi works. Go figure... What settings do I need to take from that to the current version? Or just easier to update to a different ROM?
Just to add to this, I done the OTA and that fixed the issue. No idea what caused it...
I just get the same bug with WIFI MAC address 02:00:00:00.00.00

You on the same ROM I was on? If you can do an OTA that should fix, or go to a different rom unfortunately!

Ah, I was on 7.10.26 when the bug happened. The update to the latest version fixed it.

Updating to 7.12.21 did not fix the bug. I had to factory reset the phone to have wifi working.
Good job it's fixed! Interestingly, did your phone battery go in low power saving mode prior to it occurring? I seem to remember that being so. Can't say for certain.
try :
xiaomi.eu_multi_MIMix2_V8.5.7.0.NDECNEF_v8-7.1.zip
chiron_global_images_V8.5.1.0.NDEMIEF_20170925.0000.00_7.1_global_f58374960a.tgz
global stable 8.5.1.0
or
eu rom 8.5.7.0
I have a wifi issue.
my wifi works excellent on miui 8.
non of the miui 9 roms either stable or beta and official or pro/eu/epic connects internet via wifi.
wifi opens but connected networks stay saved only and after a few minutes my network disapperas.

it is not about miui version.. it is persist or modemst problem.. maybe qcn.. even i repaired the imeis still no sim card atteniton and no network and wifi..
Mix 2 wifi and IMEI problem
Hello, hello I need your help in a matter. I have 2 devices in my hand. Imei had to be discarded. After installing twrp and magisk, I deleted modemst1 modemst2 fsg partitions from pc while in twrp to remove IMEI from qpst. Whatever happened after that, wifi does not turn on when partitions are deleted match address was 000000. I did not take backup. I open the device with rooted diag but says qpst no phone connected. He sees the port but does not recognize the device. I can't write in Qcn. Fastboot rom, I installed custom rom did not recover. What should we do?
After the official update to Android pie I have been having wifi + Bluetooth problems.
When both are on I get very slow wifi and Bluetooth, audio speaker for example, gets very laggy.
Problems with WIFI & bluetooth connected at same time:
low WIFI speed even on strong speed network
can't load web pages even
laggy sound over bluetooth speakers amd earphones
Anyone else with this problem?
Anyway to revert back to Android 8.1?
EDIT:
I reverted back to OREO and this problem is gone, so this is a PIE bug.
The problem now is that reverting back to OREO bring sim2 slot being lost...

is impossible to go back to oreo and this is just stupid, i have this smartphone from few hours an for an update to pie the wifi simply doesn't work. what a waste of money
There's a workaround for this. try enable channel bonding, I'm not sure if you need root, its joneplustools, for one plus phone but still works, won't let you download from Google play though.

Channel bonding? Can you explain? Did you do it?

for sure there are some way but i mean with the simple factory reset from settings doesn't work and remain on android 9. i did't want to start modding after a few hours from the first boot
Goto apkmirror and search joneplustools and install, there's an option for channel bonding, although I think you might need root, you can try granting permissions with ADB.

if you have the time, can you kindly explain what permissions you need to grant and what adb command?
do you need to unlock the bootloader to do so?
thanks
I have also this problem but only in 2.4 GHz so for temporary at home I use 5 GHz band only ...is better than nothing...

i also got very slow wifi speed while connected to my bluetooth speaker.
i tryd to install jOneplustools but channel Bonding does not work.
maybe changing wifi to 5ghz will help?
edit:
i tested it and changing wifi to 5ghz definitly fixes this issue. i got 100mbits down and 11 mbits up. thats even more than on 2,4ghz where i had like 35mbits down and 8mbits up
Does a factory reset solve the problem?
Bought this phone last year. Rooted and installed Havoc OS. I used it about 6 months then got a Oneplus 6t so took it out of service. This week I decided to pop the SIM card in it and after reboot I have service for about 3 seconds then it stops and the Wifi keeps toggling on and off. Tried changing the APN.
Any help is appreciated.
update: WiFi works without the SIM card in. updated Havoc and still nothing.

I have the same issue with any Android 10 or 9 I tried so far. All network and Wifi works totally fine with LineageOS 15.1, but with 16 or 17.1 I get the same problem you described. Tried Havoc as well, but it's just the same
Tried to download Pixel Experience but the download is too slow and fails at some point. As soon as I manage to install it I'll update this post!
I tried to install the carrier service (read somewhere it might help) as well, but it didn't solve the problem either. Changed the APN and the preferred network type (LTE/GSM etc). Nothing.
I also tried it with different GApps (Open Gapps, Mind the GApps, MicroG) or none at all. Same issue.
I ordered a new SIM card which again works fine with android 8.1 (LineageOS 15.1) on the same phone, but not with higher versions of android. As soon as the SIM is removed Wifi works just fine.
Ran out of ideas and will have to switch back to LineageOS 15.1, I guess...
[update] what seems to have done the trick for me was to update the firmware. I just downloaded the most recent one following this post and flashed it using TWRP (v3.3.1-1). No problems with dropping Wifi so far, network connection seems low (2 of 4 bars) but stable.
I just bought a Poco F3 to replace my Pixel 2XL (lineageOS 18.1 microg)
Anyhow, while I wait for the 7days counter, I wanted to see if tI should wait until Android12 MIUI 13 is officially released. This way I can get any firmware updates, etc... before upgrading to a custom rom.
Is waitting worth it to flash and upgrade everything before the change? Normally I wouldn't bother, but when I was testing the phone, I wasn't able to get data to work until I forced it to 3G only.... I was reading this is because of some weird voLTE issue and it needs to be turned off...
Is it likely that a firmware update bundled into the Android12 MIUI13 update will fix this?
Thanks!
Link to Issue and Resolution
ok, for anyone having the same issue, was able to replicate and verify the suggested fix.
The issue seems to happen when there is a mismatch between VoLTE support of the line and the phone.
If you don't have VoLTE enabled on your line but have it enabled on the phone settings, it seems some VoLTE specific queries happens during tower handover which then fails resulting in a kernel panic (F3 bug) which causes the modem to just reboot (losing internet for 10~15 seconds) or for the whole phone to reboot (depending on the firmware on the phone).
The fix is, to either call your carrier and make sure VoLTE is enabled, or just disable VoLTE on your phone (for lineage it's under "Settings" -> "Network & Internet" -> "Mobile Network"). I have confirmed that disabling VoLTE on lineage works and I no longer get the location-specific reboots I got when I enabled it a few weeks ago.
