It's either a ROM issue or your battery is beginning to die.
Give this a shot: Charge it until it's full and dial *#0228#*
It's supposed to recalibrate the battery.

This is simply because as soon as you unplug your phone, it uses power. Therefore, with 10% battery step, it will say it drops 10%, even though it is actually at 99%. My phone did this as well til I flashed a 1% battery step fix.
If your phone drops to 80% within a few minutes of unplugging it, you have a problem. Hope this was helpful.

What do you have running during the day? What ROM did flash Ms2ginger over? I've had issues like that before. I would just start fresh, clean sbf flash, root, recovery, etc. Always fixed any battery issues that couldn't be fixed by wipe/calibration. Clean installs of applications (not restoring data), can also help.

well i started at fro yo(once) and re flashed from either ms2/that Chinese Moto 2.3.4, and during the day its usually background apps but its drained by the end of the day, almost down to 25% so don't even have the mood to play anything!
um i'd send out a few messages recieve a few calls over the day, and on a happy day a game or two for about 20 minutes! lol
i'm flashing cm7 just to see if theres a battery problem!
ps, i know this is off topic but is there anyway to change
a:the boot image (cm7)
b:the notification drop down (cm7)
ty
Edit:
The notification thingy can be hidden in cm7 it took me all of 3 hours to figure it out after playing around with it!

+1. Also with stock Froyo my Defy was loosing 2% every hour. After I moved to Defy+ rom by Walter79 the drop have gone down to 0.5% every hour. You can also try System Tuner and see if any process is having high CPU utilization and also check if your phone enters Sleep state or not.

Issue solved using dr. Battery saver full cycle charge working great
I too am having issues with battery life since the day I bought the defy. The original battery was giving me 1 day max with all gps/wifi/data switched off and 1 hour talktime. After making few rounds of the service centre had it replaced, but even the new battery is no better. With the new battery now I am able to get 2 days max with all data/wifi/gps off, and 1-2 hours of talk time.
Did the battery stat wipe too but no better.
Any better ideas?

Please open this!!

Hi, now that i have your attention!
I have cm7.2 democracy on my gio
I barely use it for wifi or gaming now because the battery is S**t.
I had 2.3.6 GB before and battery could take out 2 days on games and music. Now suddenly after switching to cm7.2 i need to charge it twice a day without using any app or game. just some texting like 10, 12.
I use ondemand governor and max freq is 806 min is 245
Also a couple of times i have seen that when my battery is at 30% and charge it then within 5-10 minutes it showed 100% charged. Unplug the charger.
Any suggestions or something on this? I really need an answer guys. Thanks
I can tell you that you can't charge your battery within 10 minutes.
Charge it at least 2 hours, 2.5.

Yeah! I will. Even if it says fully charged. IDK whats the problem with it. It drains so quickly.
Even if i charge it 2 hours even then i have to charge it twice a day.
I have the same problems. Some help?
I am having the same happening with my phone. I am looking into buying a new battery.

No one has found a solution 'till now?I'll try to use ODIN and go back to stock version, maybe that will help. Has anyone had those battery problems before using a custom ROM?with stock my battery used to last 2 days with games and music etc, now I can only use it for 5 hours without any games or music or internet. It also charges from 0 to 100% in 30 minutes , maybe less. I'm still hoping someone found a solution for this problem because it is useless to have a phone without any battery.
Try to get a new battery because huge draining problem is not caused by roms it caused by battery damage.my battery runs on stock rom over the 10days without using anything but on cm9/10 roms it drains faster but still runs more than 3days for me.
so no one got it?
Thank God I am not the only one here
But guys, I have been using stock GB for an year. Its been only a week on cm7.2 democracy and nightly.
Both have same battery issues and non of this happened in stock
It's not the battery issue.its something else. I'm sure
Have you tried going back to stock version using ODIN?I think that is the ultimate solution before sending my phone to service(I still have warranty).

Try to "recalibrate" your battery; in cwm theres an option "wipe battery stats". some say its nonsense, some say it really helps; i would give it a try.
No idea if theres an option with stock roms, though.....
I'm calibrating now...Will post the result in a while. (Tomorrow i guess)
I still couldn't solve this..I flashed the stock firmware with ODIN and still no luck, I'm starting to think it is a hardware problem, maybe I will send the phone to service now that I have the stock firmware back. Has anyone found any solution?
Hey, i found this article
For the users who like to try out new ROMs very often or by default Android receives updates to Android very often. These updates re constantly pushed to the users to provide the better experience to the users. For those who flash their mobile handset with custom ROM they are advised to charge their handset to 100 % battery life and then proceed with the upgrade processor. That is advised because if you have 50 % of battery life and proceed with firmware update, the new custom ROM will consider 50 % battery life as the full battery stats and this will provide half the battery life then earlier as specified by your phone manufacturer. In those cases you need to go with the battery calibration to gain 100 % battery backup as specified by your provider. There is complete procedure on how you will calibrate your phone battery is mentioned by us and if you would like to make the process very much easier then you can make use of a specially designed application which calibrates your battery. (Battery Calibration)
Okay so i flashed a new custom rom with 100% battery but no luck on battery issue. Its still draining the same.
then i calibrated my battery with this app with my battery at 100% which of course is 50% as said by this article, the app said "Your battery has been calibrated by 6%". Don't know what that means.
ANY HELP? DEVELOPERS PLEASE GUYS!
Try to calibrate it too.It may fix it.

I have the same issue, I am using CM10.1 RC0 by Olddroid but I think my problem is the charger. For the last month I charged my Gio using the usb connection from PC. Now, if I use the charger the battery drains faster than charging with the usb connection method. I am gonna buy a 1500 mAh battery and hope to solve this problem.

need help to choose new battery

I've at least disconnect the battery of my 2 years old note 8.0 twice. The first time was because the DVFS thing, and the second time just recently because I've installed CM 13, and the battery seems to need recalibration after that.
If you're brave enough to replace the battery, might as well try to disconnect it to recalibrate it first. Just to make sure that the battery is really dying.

Ty ,The problem is that i don't have the required tools to take off the battery , i completely discharged my battery now I'm getting 5.30 hours of screen on time per charge , airplane mode is always on , i used to get between 5 to 7 hours so it's not that bad

OnePlus 3 battery suddenly dropped to 0% from 50%.

So I am not a heavy user. Usually my phone requires charging once in 1 and a half day. One moment my phone was around 50% charged which some what amused me as I couldn't remember last time I charged my phone.
After half an hour or so, I tried to unlock my phone and was greeted by this ( clicked from Xperia Z2 whose back camera isn't working).
Here is my battery stats.
Any idea what could be wrong? Should I visit the service centre?
are u on oos as i experienced the same on PA rom?

See if the issue persists. Try to slow charge it overnight or leave it on the charger over night just to see if it does help. Even though we reached 100% the phone keeps charging.

Using Freedom OS CE. with franco kernel.
My guess it is caused by franco. But I will wait if it happens again.
i will wait and see if the issue happens again and as i wipe after every charge so corruption of battery stats file is also unlikely and as i happened to us on different setups then it can be firmware related problem from one+(my wild guess). So keep me posted if it happens again and i will do the same.
Sorry for my bad English.

If you have a dead battery this will happen many more times, and yoy won't experience good battery at all.. I bet it is just a one time software error.

Screen on time.

Guys please tell your screen on times. I am planning to get a battery replacement. So , I want to know a base SOT, that I should look for with a normal battery.?
