I need help with my RN8P, every time I am typing the keyboard changes letters to symbol without prior notice and this situation has me going crazy. I need help, it does the same to me on android 9 and 10

I've tried searching but didn't find anything so sorry if it has been addressed already somewhere else. Every single GB ROM that I've used has an issue where the left side of the screen doesn't register when touching it. I never had this problem with any Froyo ROM and only happens when I'm using GB and I've tried all the ROM's. It doesn't happen all the time but comes and goes. It is most annoying when trying to type a message using the virtual keyboard and having the screen not register that I'm trying to use the "a" for example. Makes typing a message a pain and I end up having to just use the slide out keyboard instead. Opening apps on the left side of the screen also is a problem since the screen isn't registering the touch so the app can't be opened till it starts working again.
Has anyone else had or have heard of this type of problem or know of anyway to fix it? Or it is possible that I just have a bad phone that doesn't like to play nice with GB? I appreciate any help that anyone may be able to provide because I love GB but it's very annoying having this happen so I have to stay on a Froyo ROM. Thanks!
Hello everyone, long time lurker, first time poster. I would have put this in the AOKP thread but i need 10 posts to do that, so here's my first.
I recently put AOKP B34 on my phone and am very much enjoying it. After putting all my app data back on, I switched the android default keyboard to Swiftkey 3 since i've been using it since inception.
Everything has been smooth except today i mistyped a word and pushed it to get the selector. When i tried to move the selector to the word i was trying to fix, the curser blinks to the beginning and end of the word 5-6 times, then disappears. I uninstalled and re-installed it to no avail.
Anyone else having this issue? Should i downgrade swiftkey to 2? I can't get away from swiftkey, it has over a year of data that makes typing a cinch.

So here is my problem. Recently I upgraded from 4.1.3 to 4.3. I noticed that the Samsung keyboard now no longer seems to learn new words. Whenever I try to swipe "s#!t" or "[email protected]#$", or even a more modest word like suck, I can't use swipe. It never gives me such options. I can still type them letter by letter, but that's v slow and annoying. The Old keyboard learned the words. The new one doesn't, unless I don't know how, in which case please tell me.
Tapping the new word or clicking arrows doesn't seem to do anything.

Found the solution by chance.
So I went into the settings once more, and I saw that auto replacement was switched off. So I switched this on and tried words that it didn't remember previously. And now it suddenly remembers the words! The more you use the words the better it seems to be able to predict them.

Hello, during the last week my g3 started to show few touch problems. Occures most of the time while typing (even while im posting this thread via my phone) that i press a letter and the phone by himself picks the letter next to it. This happens only on certain letters , not all of them.
Also, when i try to move objects (let's say icons) on the screen it drops them randomly as if i stopped touching the screen (which i didn't)
Happens scrolling up/down/left/right sometimes doesn't respond or not smooth at all
While typing this thread i found that i have specific areas on the screen that i can't click on them (was trying to correct miss-typing)

Edit: forgot to mention that I have a modifyd build.prop which affects touch&responsiveness. I have loaded the system with the original build.prop but still problems...

I've had my note 2 for nearly 3 years so it's getting on a bit. I've got Android Revolution HD v31 on it, supposed to be one of the most stable roms I think?
Sometimes I get a problem where the keyboard shows up like normal, and when I type it gives the haptic feedback and the app acts like you're typing, but nothing actually enters into the textbox. When I get this problem it can be quite persistent, and it happens in all apps. Chrome/whatsapp/messenger, you name it. I've experienced this with Swiftkey, but also the stock samsung keyboard. Restarting fixes it too but just waiting a few minutes and coming back or force closing all apps and trying again usually works too.
This is really really irritating (probably happens ~20% of the time I go to use the keyboard) - As soon as I get some time I'm going to flash the original samsung firmware again and start afresh but I don't have ODIN setup on this laptop anymore and I don't currently have the time. Any short term solutions or the fastest way to get back to stock would be ideal. Cheers!
