Anyone else having this issue?
When waking the device up the FP or the screen in general is unresponsive for some seconds. Bit as far as i can see double tapping the screen somehow makes the device respond faster
the same thing happens to me but it happens when the phone warms up on cooling it returns to normal

For me It looks like happening when the battery is low, very bad finger print sensor or software, I came form the Mi9 that is much better than this one. Im a little upset of the camera and the fp.

Even though most posts claim that OP3 is quite efficient with heat management and everything, i found some issues with device :-
1 ) Phone heats up during Dash Charge, heating is more during the 0 - 60 % phase then its reduces.
2) Heats up while shooting a 4K video.
3) Sometimes Heats up even with the use of apps like Insta, youtube ,fb (If you multitask them together).(Try downloading a large
file, buffer a video and do some light task....i guess the phone heats up with extensive use of wifi and multitasking).
4) Handles games likes OK3 , NOVA 3, Asphalt 8 very well, But somehow heats up while playing Mortal Kombat X
All this based on my experience with using the phone for quite sometime now. Please let me know if these issues are common to all or i should contact the Oneplus Support?
I get the exact same thing and I have heard that this is normal

In all those scenarios, heat is not only normal, but expected.
There are dedicated cameras that can't record more than 10 minutes of 4k without overheating and turning off. No need to worry.

exact thing happens to me!!
Duuh, your phones heat need to go somewhere, especially with a metal case you will feel it a little bit more then with a plastic case. Nothing to worry about heating is normal for every electronic device. Don't see what the issues are here.
I think that problem is that op3 deals with heat quite good while, say, playing asphalt or sth but can heat up while using messenger with all apps closed.
I'd say that it might be problem with drivers.. But idk

Yup, bro I agree with you, but is it normal for the phone to become warm near the earpiece during call?
Near the earpiece or the whole back of the camera, I'm not a specialist but it shouldn't deliver problems. It's normal that everything above your volume button heats up more then the rest of your device, since the Soc is there.
Your phone will heat when you use it
HI frnds
i am using one plus 3 from last 7 days and i feel that phone heats up when it is in pocket..is there anyone facing the same problem.....
help me to fix it........thank u
Do you have anything like smart unlock or lock screen gestures? I only have double tap.to wake and proximity wake off.
HI
I was about to write on this topic. I have had OP3 for just 4 days and I noticed it get warm very quickly. I will be very interested to hear of possible answers. Maybe the aluminum cover has something to do as it conducts heat more than plastic?

The phone heating issue has usually been related to the finger print scanner always scanning even when it's in the pocket. Is your fingerprint scanner active?
Think I've found a solution to this issue, delete your finger prints on the security screen, clear the cache, reboot and then enter just one finger/thumb and the heating up problem seems to have been resolved!
3 since I found that solution of the OP forum I've had no heating up problems and my battery life seems to have drastically improved.

I just washed my watch with tap water to clean it up. but after i dried it up, the watch keeps rebooting every few minutes and becomes quite warm.
I even restored it back to lollipop but same thing happens. also uninstalled all 3rd party apps from my phone.
did washing it cause the problem? i read here somewhere that they even dive their watch on a swimming pool with no problems.
please help me troubleshoot this. I won't be able to send this to a service center since I work in a remote location. :crying::crying:
I'm on same issue since two days ago! It seems hardware fails, shall we use the waranty claim procces?

i don't know if it helps but I got mine back to normal again.
first, I just let it sit in the sun for about 30 minutes with its face down. do not put the lcd up facing the sun.
the watch will heat up obviously so let it cool down for a while.
after that, my watch started to last longer.
Solved by huawei waranty replacement

Anyone else think the finger print reader is painfully slow when the screen is off?
My honor 5x i literally tap the rear reader and the phone unlocks instantly. On the pixel i have to hold it there for about half a second.

Mine is super fast. Maybe try resetting your phone?

It's definitely slower than the OnePlus 3 I had before, but not enough for me to get upset about.
Mine is lightening fast. Unlock my phone even faster than pattern .
Twice as fast as the 6P ever was.
Maybe a little slower than the Axon 7.
Faster than the S7 and iPhone 7.
It's not slow by any means... maybe not the quickest either, but definitely not slow to the point that it matters.

I agree. It's not slow by any means. The one plus three sure does have a faster finger print scanner, but the phone makes the OS feel like it just snorted a line of sugar. The Pixels scanner feels more fluid and has a smooth transition when unlocking the phone.

Faster then my Honor 5X which was the fastest.
Try putting multiple sets of the same fingers you use. That made a noticeable difference and cut down on unable to read errors. I have maybe 6 different profiles for 2-3 fingers just in case. Just a thought.
Fastest I've experienced.
Mine is also the fastest on any phone I've had. Super quick. Maybe yours is defective.
Mine's pretty fast. Just put any of my registered fingers in any direction on the sensor and ON.
It can be slow after your phone has been left unused for a while - in other words, if your phone has gone into "doze", it may not register your print as fast as it normally does.
But if the phone has not gone into deep doze, print recognition is very fast
The fingerprint reader is instantaneous. It feels slow because you have the animations on. Go to developer settings and disable every animation
Take it back mate, the scanner is almost instant on mine and also works at any angle
Mine is literally instantaneous. Or atleast faster than anyone I have used before.
Im talking from screen off. When the screen is on it is fast i will agree.
But from screen of my honor 5x beats it every time.

I noticed this immediately after using it for the first time. The 6P scanner opened the phone quicker and also didn't fail ever. Every so often I have to tap the Pixel one again because it didn't read it. And also hangs a few micro seconds before the screen comes on. This only happens after its been sitting a while though. When out of doze it is flawless. I bet doze has something to do with it.
After a while I used the new mix 2, I noticed that the text smears when scrolling. There is a glow behind. As if there was a problem with refreshing (?). In my previous Lumia 950 xl phone with amoled, nothing like this happens.
Is this a faulty display? Maybe installing another rom will help?
After the first switching on, the system has been updated to 9.1.2.0 global stable.
Display code: jdi fhd video dsi panel
Did you have such problems? Video below.
Thank you for the advice.

I'd try to do a factory reset and see if the problem persists

I did it but it did not help. I also tried to force the GPU in the develovey settings.
This is just what an IPS display is like. AMOLED has significantly faster pixel response time, IPS has significantly better color accuracy. I came from an AMOLED phone myself before getting the mi mix2, but I've been noticing it less and less as I've gotten used to the phone. If it really bothers you and you're able to return your phone, you definitely should because this is just what the display will be like forever.
I've noticed the same issue.
Did not have this with the original mix.
It's really annoying.
I same problem with Mi Mix 2
But did not have this with my Mi Mix 1.
Note: Mix 1 , Mix 2 same IPS panel
(
Is this present in all mix 2 or are some displays ok?
I've had several phones with ips-display, including Xiaomi note 3 and 4, and I have never seen smearing this bad before!
Too bad no reviewer picked up on this...
