RCS in Google Messages Sudden Failure - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

I've had my factory unlocked Galaxy S20 on T-MoUS since launch day and RCS was working perfectly. The setup was automatic with zero issues. This week my phone suddenly was stuck on "Connecting" in settings. I tried clearing Messages cache, clearing data, installing Carrier Services, and nothing worked. Uninstalled Messages and reinstalled and now in settings it says "Chat features unavailable for this device."
Any futher tips on how to get RCS working again? I have no idea really what I might have installed/uninstalled that broke the feature originially.
Thanks

[Q] Google Voice receiving issues..

Alright, I'm running Deck 1.2.1, no customer kernels. This was happening before I rooted as well though.
Google Voice will work on my phone for the first few texts of the day. I'll receive a few just fine, but then it stops. After it stops, it won't sync or refresh at all. The circle stays there, and when I send a text from the phone, it gets stuck in an infinite send loop.
I've uninstalled, turned off data, and such. I can use it through google.com/voice but not on the phone.
Any clever ideas?
I had the same issue on stock 2.2 unrooted. I uninstalled the app cleared the cache and reinstalled the voice app. note that once you re-install the app, the app changes your voice settings on the website and un-checks "Receive text messages on this phone". You will have to turn it back on. It worked fine for me after that. You may want to force stop PC Synchronize (A background service) and clear cache and data on that too. The only other solution I found if that didn't work was a complete wipe. Hope this helps!
Thanks a lot raremind. I uninstalled, wiped cache, and reinstalled. Like you said I checked the website and found the "Receive text messege on this phone." box was unchecked. Everythings working perfect now.
Appreciate it man.

android.process.acore has stopped

I have a Verizon LG G3 running stock/rooted 4.4.2.
Today, for the 2nd time, I started receiving the unfortunately, the android.process.acore has stopped error It pretty much just constantly pops up, non stop.
Last time a few months back, I fixed it with a factory reset (annoying).
Today, it started again. I tried clearing contacts and contacts storage and google service framework, but none of that helped.
Wound up doing another factory reset.
This time, it was working fine until I added an exchange account to sync calendar and email and then I started getting the error again. I don't think that was the trigger though because of what else I figured out.
It appears as if I uninstall facebook, the error goes away. I tried uninstalling facebook, clearing contacts and contacts storage and then reinstalling, but it starts again once it gets reinstalled.
I've done this back and forth enough times now that it's clearly being caused by the facebook install. It starts as soon as I log into facebook after I install it.
I guess at least it's nice to know I can uninstall facebook and I'm good, but I want to use the facebook app still.
So now what?
I have the same problem but it's with WeChat.
Here's something you can try.
I went into Phone --> Settings and select only to display contacts from Gmail. It stopped error.

Google Apps Crashing

Hello. I have a Pixel XL 128 GB, purchased directly from Google. I'm on the 7.1 software. Recently (hard to nail down the exact date) several google apps began to crash. As of now, it is ONLY google apps, and only some of them. Apps crashing are : google photos, gmail, and "ok Google" assistant crashes when I attempt to use it. The Google app itself works, but as soon as I attempt the voice control, it crashes the app. I am rooted as well. I've rebooted and cleaned the google services, photos, and gmail caches with no relief from this problem.
Any ideas? I love my phone and really want to fix this problem!
Thanks all.
I have had this happen on other phones and I have been able to fix it by logging out of my Google account, wiping cache in settings-storage then rebooting and logging back into my account. I have never lost any data this way. Your mileage may vary, hope it fixes it for you.

Thanks. I thought I was alone.
Did you try clearing cache of those apps and logout of your Google account?
Ok, thanks for all the replies. I cleared the caches, all the history, etc. I also uninstalled all updates for the offending apps. Another weird thing I noticed is that Instagram also crashes the same way. But not OG+ (another instagram client) that seems to work just fine. It's weird that I can voice search from the Google app directly, and it doesn't crash, but when i use assistant, it crashes. I also deleted all google accounts, cleared caches, rebooted, and upon restarting, same issue. Any other suggestions? I'm at a bit of a loss here, and don't know why it is doing this.
I have the same problem. I get "Unfortunately, Whatsapp has stopped working" message and my app crashing while trying to open the message. I tried everything like factory reset, clear cache etc. but I'm not able to get rid of this problem. I'm also using Google Pixel smartphone.

Stock messages app not showing notifications with Android Auto

Does anyone have any ideas? Hangouts show notifications while driving. So did Android Messages app. But not the stock LG Messaging app.
Had repeated problems with Android Auto (TMO G7 Thinq on Ford Sync3 v2.3) not showing notifications or playing notification sound when receiving a text on any of several texting apps.
I tried everything I could think of: cleared data, cache, uninstalled, reinstalled from Play Store then direct from apk, I tried reverting to an older AA version, I tried different messaging apps, tried resetting app permissions, resetting notification settings, blah blah...
Finally, I gave in and decided to try a full phone factory reset, then a restore back to my oldest backup. This does seem to have worked. I'm using Textra Pro now and it's been fine for a couple of weeks, but I will edit if that changes
If you don't have any good backups, you may have to factory reset, but that's your call....and that still may not fix the AA notification thing for you. Wow, that's all I can think to try. Good luck!

chat feature in message

Anyone having trouble turning on the chat feature in message. It works fine in my s10+ but on the s20 ultra it's just stuck at setting up.
Same thing was happening with mine, I cleared cash on the app, installed "carrier services" from the play store and restarted my phone. When it turned back on it set up with like 3 min
Mines is running fine with no issue shows connected S20U.

I had carrier service installed already and a restart didn't help and now it says I reached the max attempts and I gotta wait till tomorrow.
The first go around when it auto populated my number it got stuck but I erased and typed it myself.... Also make sure your not on wifi.. on my last phone that was the issue.. if all fails uninstall and reinstall
Mine just started working properly this morning with Samsung messages. It wasn't for the first 2.5 days but now I'm good. I had the chat settings enabled in Samsung messages and I noticed it hadn't been working. For fun I installed carrier services but still nothing. Then today its all good. I'll take it as a win I suppose
