Hi! I am new here.
I would like to know if someone can help me. This morning, while watching a video on YouTube, my mobile got "frozen" and it has not responded until now. If I hold down the lock button, it reacts and turns off, but when I restart it, as soon as I enter the password, it takes 2 seconds to got frozen again. I cannot open any application. I have tried it with Gallery, Google Chrome and Settings. I did not get to enter in any of those apps, because as soon as I touch them, the phone stops reacting. I don't know if it matters, but the screen brightness rises and falls while the phone does not react.
After pressing the lock button several times, he managed to access to a different screen with 3 options:
Reboot
Wipe data
Connect with MIAssistant
By clicking on Reboot -> Reboot system, anything different is done. .
When I click on Connect with MIAssistant, the web site pcsuite.mi.com appears on the screen so that I can access to the download page of MI Suite, which I have already downloaded and does not recognize the device when I connect it via USB. The laptop does recognize it (it makes noise when I put in and remove the USB). Only I got to have the "Redmi Note 8" folder on My Computer once, but after clicking on I saw it was empty (the option to give the laptop permission to access the files does not appear on the screen so I could not click on it).
I have not dared to click on Wipe data -> Wipe all data because I have some photos (few, I make backups frequently) that I would not like to lose.
I kept pressing the lock button several times and ended up on a FASTBOOT screen. He has been there for half an hour, but anything different has been done again.
Any ideas? I can still access the main screen of the mobile, but it does not last more than 2 seconds until it hangs.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.
Option #1 SAFE MODE works on Redmi note 8 pro
Reboot or power on phone as normal. When you seen the powered by android logo appearing and animateing, hold the volume down button, when you reach the lockscreen in the lower left corner you will see "Safe mode". If there is an app causing the freeze, this should do the trick.
IF #1 doesn't work
#2 Try XiaomiADBFastbootTools, you could access to the files using the "file explorer" built in, rescue the data, then do the wipe or try disabling or uninstalling 3rd party apps.

So my phone was in my pocket and it was getting hot so i took it out, and saw it on the boot animation. I left it and it didn't go past this boot screen so i held in the power button to restart it, and it restarted. Only when i turned it on, my 4G plan was active, and I could no longer use the notification pull down bar. I can swipe down from the top once, but not a second time to access quick settings. Also my circle and square (home and multitask) buttons are not working, the phone vibrates when i touch them but nothing happens, only the triangle (back) button works. On the lock screen, there is no longer an option to swipe right for the camera, and double pressing the home button to activate the camera does nothing, it just turns the display on and off. I have tried putting the phone into safe mode to see if an app was causing the problem, but the problem persists, when i turned my phone back on normally, the widgets on my home screen had disappeared. I tried switching accounts to the guest account but it says 'switching to guest' and then seems to fail to switch to the guest account and quickly says 'switching to (main account name)', before returning to my main account. Any ideas, I really need the problem fixed, thanks in advance!
stock rom??
my advice if you cant fix it try to do a factory reset do it like your last resource cause it wipes all data
another advice you should always have a backup you never know when **** like this happens
Thanks for the reply.
Yeah I am running stock ROM, so strange that this has happened.
I am struggling to backup photos etc as i would usually enable usb debugging and just click and drag the folders over to my PC, but it says on my settings page that 'developer options are not available to this user', so I am having to use another photo backup website, which is annoying.
This happened to be when I manually updated from MMB29Q to MHC19J without flashing MMB29V first. Only solution was to boot into TWRP to backup my files and then factory reset.

My Nexus was working fine. I had just charged it and re-flashed the 6.01 android using adb/fastboot etc. (at this point I could access VOL- + POWER)
I then re-registered all my details and left it to update installed programs.
When I returned a few hours later, this is my screen;
https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=AC83...2D!31271&parId=AC83CC1AD8656B2D!26467&o=OneUp
I can no longer access VOL- and Power button as nothing happens, and most solutions I've found online ask me to enter debugging, which I cannot do obviously.
I can also still hear emails and messages notifications, etc, so I know that something is working. I've even tried holding the Power Button for 60 seconds to see if that would switch it off, but no.
EDIT: I've also just tried disconnecting the battery for a short while, but it didn't seem to make much difference. Really annoying, had been working fine with no issues, just decided to refresh the the ROM to 'clear out the cobwebs' so to speak...
Any advice would be great, thanks you in advance.
Well a few days ago, like 2 weeks ago, I thougt I lost my SW3 (I use it w / o leash because it broke and there's no replacement for the stainless steel one) but actually it was lost on my travel bag xD
After plug in again it started to charge, but when I tried to turn on (after reach 100%), after the sony and SW3 logo, it turns off, like it has a problem at boot. I tried to repair via Xperia Companion and the process was succesful, but the watch just gets stuck on the same SW3 logo.
Now I think is the battery, but I'm really hoping is not, there are any suggestion guys about what could be happening?
Is it stuck at the 4 dots spinning? If So I have the same problem, I have tried a factory reset, updating the rom via push commands etc I have brought a new SWR50 thats working with ADB debugging enabled this time (Didn't do it on the last one) my question hopefully will help the OP as well can I take a complete clone/rom backup from the working watch then push that to the broken watch (Bare in mind no debugging enabled on the broken one) Also to the OP have you held down the power button to get to the fastboot menu and factory reset/recovery settings? if not then you turn off the watch, press and hold the power button until the "insert usb now" shows, you then press the power button quickly twice to access the recovery menus

I forgot about this thread lol
thanks dude!, A couple times it reached the spinning dots, but not always, sometimes it turned off on the SW3 logo before the dots appear, and actually I tried all those things you mentioned, but it didn't work, also I think my watch is (even more) screwed now xD...
Trying to do a second repair on Xperia Companion, the watch got turned off in mid repair, lending obviously on an error, and also losing the ability of do offline charge so once the battery reach 0, is over...
now when I plug in just stays on the SW3 logo, I still can go to connect USB screen and go to the two clicks menu (and stays on), but every time I try a repair, in the middle of the process disconnects and turns off, I don't know exactly why only when is plugged on the repair process it turns off, even pluged in the PC w/o repair stays connected all the time... bad thing is I don't know if is charging or not, so could stop working anytime
Have you tried to push the update through adb recovery mode?

every day I'm more convinced the watch is screwed
If I turn on the watch stays on the SW3 logo all the time (it seems offline charge works after all), I even can go to the "insert USB" screen and stays on all the time, but when I try to push something to the watch, always disconnects, turns off and the process obvioulsy gets interrumpted, I'm losing my hopes xD
I'm using the original charging wire, but tried with other working ones
my sister bought me this smart watch , it came on long enough to program a few this after I charge it and then 10 minutes later it shut off and now it won't come back on or power up , what should I do ?
I have a weird problem with my sw3. When I plugin my watch to a charger nothing shows up but the watch gets heated up. But when I connect it to PC it just keeps turning on and off. Tried various methods available on this site but none of them worked.
Okay, so suddenly when I use my finger print it is asking for my PIN. When I input the PIN the screen turns black and my lock screen simply reappears. So I use my PIN or finger print again and it turns black again and brings me back to my lock screen again.
Now and again previously to today after using my fingerprint it would ask me for my PIN occasionally That's not unusual. This time however it just goes black and kicks me back to my lockscreen. I proceed to repeat the process and same issue.
I can't access my phone via PC either since I can't change the settings for file transfer on the lock screen. Just wants my credentials again.
I forget which rom I am on since I can't get into download mode or recovery.
Any ideas? This may sound like a dumb question, but since this is never happened before, is there another way to reboot my phone without having the ability to access my reboot options? Holding down on power does nothing.
Okay, so on a hunch I long pressed the power button for two minutes. It ended up rebooting and when it loaded some of my app icons were grayed out and I got the message "App Not Installed" when I tried to open any of the grayed apps up. I rebooted again and everything is back to normal.
Also, when I plugged my phone back into my PC I got the authorization prompt again to allow connections and it fixed my device not showing in ADB. Does this key expire sometimes?
Just wanted to let everyone know the issue seems to be fixed. Well, for now.
Okay, so here's the issue:
My P600 starts normally, but I end up with a black screen (not the regular one caused by the LCD cable being loose). Not really sure when it started, parents say it's been like this for a day now. All I see is:
-The top bar (with time, audio/vibrate setting, Wi-FI signal and battery)
-The drop down menu
-I can start S voice
-I can see all the apps I launch by pressing the icon in the drop down menu (by holding the middle button, as you normally do)
The screen reacts fully, I can roll up the drop down menu and shut down the apps by moving my finger across the screen.
It throws out the "Process system isn't responding" error every once in a while.
The lock screen flashes through very briefly when I go back from the "all launched apps" menu (not really sure how to call it).
Steps I tried:
Restart
Wipe cache partition
Connecting to a PC doesn't do anything
System(Android) is fully stock, and was probably updated (not sure what was the last update Samsung put out).
Factory reset(or flashing a new android) is the last thing I want to try, thanks.
