S20 Ultra U1 doesn't have n41 enabled but U does - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

So the update latest U firmware update from T-Mobile has n41 enabled but the u1 doesn't. Is there any way to enable this aside from flashing back over and losing my camera fixes?

Hey any update on this? Has TMobile not released the update with the camera fixes?

No Camera update fix yet which is annoying otherwise I'd totally flash back to the regular U but I feel by then N41 will be enabled.

Hey I'm looking at the Ultra again. It looks like there haven't been any updates on tmobile for the S20 Ultra?
Is that the case?

Per this article the updates are expected sometime in late March(end of Q1 2014).
Kitkat & touchwiz combination sounds good but again no idea how many new restrictions it will come with.
4.3 took too long but the wait was not worth it. I am happy with 4.3 on 4.1 bootloader.
I hope there isn't a requirement to update the bootloader.

Do not hold your breath. Before we get even close to thinking we will get this. You will first see Samsung update the note2 Unlocked and international Versions. Then Sprint or at&t Might then consider to update the phone (maybe). If that happens then MAYBE AND only if and a very doubtful maybe. Will T- Mobile decided to send us the update..
There are way more hands in the pot then just want samsung says. The press release says Carrier dependant...
Carrier is the word there . So ask T- Mobile on there plans

I have a Note 2 t-mobile as well.. Sorry i never disclosed this. and NO There is no update for it. my note 2 is on 4.3 factory
I've got the AT&T model (SGH-I317) of the Note II running 4.1.2. (I317UCALK7), but I'm on T-Mobile now.
I received 4.1.2 OTA after rooting.
I have been unable to get any updates past 4.1.2, even when manually checking.
A few days ago I checked again and instead of telling me there was an error when checking for updates, it told me there was an update (around 185.75 MB). It downloaded, but failed to install.
I'd really like to be able to get the official/TouchWiz 4.4 build installed.
When 4.4 does hit, should I be trying to get the T-Mobile version or the AT&T version? Or does it not matter?
It looks like I won't be able to get the update OTA since I can't get any updates OTA now and I'm stuck on 4.1.2, but surely there will be a dump I can grab online and load myself, right?

So any idea if a TouchWiz ROM with WiFi calling ONLY happen if T-Mobile releases an official ROM first, or is there a way for devs to make a 4.4.2 with WiFi calling based on the component present in the 4.3 build?
T-Mobile could win me for life by doing two things:
1) Improve rural reception (I know they're working on it with all that new 700Mhz spectrum)
2) Release WiFi calling as an app for T-Mobile customers so I could be free to run a non-TW ROM

Mostly because I'm not interested in changing my phone number (WiFi calling I only really need for incoming calls), and I want to get SMS texts to my current phone #.
Really wish T-Mobile would just release a WiFi calling app for its customers so that I could go AOSP. I am not liking TouchWiz at all after being on an original Droid w/Bugless Beast and then Nexus devices.

You don't have to. You can choose to have all of your calls answered by Google Voice, or by your actual number.
I think you should give it a go..:good:

I have Google Voice for my voicemail, but obviously if I'm in the office where I have no signal, I'm not going to get the call because it goes right to Google Voice voicemail if I don't have a signal. Also, I need my regular number to accept SMS. Am I missing something?

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ Marshmallow Update

Just wanted to let anyone on the Verizon variant to start looking. My phone is currently downloading the update as we speak. The update was originally only for the S6 and S6 Edge on Verizon with no release date for the Edge+. I am receiving it OTA.

Wish I had better luck with my update. Mine keeps getting an error 402 when I try to install the update. I tried to use the Verizon software upgrade assistant software but it keeps saying my phone is updated already.
I am having the same error 402 problem. I have tried clearing the cache, factory reset, updating via the upgrade assistant, etc. No luck so far on anything I have tried.
I have been talking with Verizon support all day but still no luck. I will post back if I find a solution.
Is there a reason firmware files are impossible to find for this model? I'm using mine on at&t and can't upgrade the normal way so I'm guessing my only shot would be to borrow someone's Verizon sim card. Was hoping Smart Switch would trigger the upgrade like it has in the past.

First time poster. Anyone having issues with doze not working on this variant? Getting 10-20% drain nightly. Was having mediaserver keep it awake draining 30%. After finding and uninstalling the app causing that Gsam showing hish usage by the system. Doze have never turned on since downloading update. And I too had the download problems on the OTA. First attempt took 4 hours and got to 99% and failed. Second attempt took about as long but finally worked.
Only issue I've found so far is the default gallery does not show Downloaded images, and yet when I plug the phone into my laptop I can see them in the Download directory. I had to download another gallery called QuickPic, which is a ton better than the factory gallery, and it displays everything as it should.
Other than that, I had no problems with the download or update. I downloaded OTA via WiFi on the phone itself and installation went smoothly. Battery life is significantly better with its default "snooze" mode it goes into when the phone is idle for a period of time.

Oh, and OneDrive doesn't seem to be working. It's not syncing images like it was on KitKat. I tried Refreshing it to no avail. Gonna' try to reinstall it. Google Drive works perfectly fine, though.
*EDIT*
An uninstall and reinstall fixed that sync issue.
Update Marshmallow G928V
I brought s6 edge plus (SM-G928V) Verizon unlocked phone and I am using T mobile connection on phone.
So the problem is : My phone doesn't show any marshmallow update. I think, its because of T mobile sim .Since, i am not using Verizon connection.
I tried to update the phone with samsung smart switch. When i connect the phone with SMart switch, it does show the Marshmallow update but when i click on update it nothing happens.
I searched for Verizon marshmallow FirmWare link for s6 edge plus, but i could not find any ?
Could you please sent me link so that i can update with Odin or is there any other way to update it.
Just some help
Heya folks, I bought a sparkling new Verizon galaxy s6 edge plus at a lucrative price of USD 350. It's unlocked and I'll be using in India I just bought it because of the sale price.
Now do I understand that Verizon version has locked bootloader and no root at all. Will they give bootloader anytime in the future? Also does one need a Verizon Sim card for getting updates? I'll be using in India how will I get updates then? Anyone else who has bought unlocked version pls help me. Cheers folks thanks a ton.

I did not check the speed when I did this. The T-Mobile SIM had the APN's already available. I did reboot the tablet after putting in the SIM. Maybe give that a go.
I did have to set the APN when I put in my Mobile Hotspot ATT SIM. But after setting the APN and rebooting the tablet it worked as well.

T Mobile rolled out a huge September security patch today for the S9 and S9+.
Check your baseband.
I just noticed a new QR code button in the Contacts app on my T-Mobile S9 after the update.

What other UI changes have you noticed? I see the charging animation on my T-Mobile S9 also.
AT&T put it out a few days ago, too. Got CSH9 on my regular S9. Got the charging animation change and night mode for the camera... finally.
Haven't noticed much else since I use very few of Samsung's default apps.

? about flashing U1 software on Verizon U model

Question for anyone that has flashed U1 software on a Verizon U model. Do you lose any features such as wifi calling, visual voicemail, etc? I think I read somewhere you lose some stuff. Considering doing an odin to the beta but probably not if I lose some features. Thanks!
Ha...I commented on your other post before you edited it. Anyways, I have been running the U1 firmware on my Verizon Note 10+ since the day it launched. It retains wifi calling, volte calling, and visual voicemail. The only thing missing that I've found so far is native video calling in the phone app but that wasn't a big deal to me as I never use it anyways.
Awesome thanks for the info!
Sorry one more question. When you did the odin to U1 did you flash everything except for Home_CSC?

If you are wanting to register for the beta I believe you need to flash the regular CSC so you can get the updates OTA. But a warning it will completely wipe your device. Home_CSC doesn't wipe your device but I don't think you will be able to register for the beta if you use that one.
The full odin file is on firmware science so I should just be able to flash to that I think? As you said I won't be able to 'officially' register for the beta if I use Home_CSC but I'm not really worried about that. I'd rather keep all my data intact lol
Thanks for all your help!

Great information.. thank you for this. I too was going to go over to the u1 firmware and was curious about losing volte and wifi calling. I do believe in the past on some Verizon devices those were two features you lost.
