App launching speed is fast
Launch app speed
the speed of execution of apps varies by version of android, being the most optimal android 6 in time of execution, followed by android 7 and finally android 8. In question of handling of ram, as much stock 6 as stock 7 handle badly the memory ram, so they close processes easily, while a ROM as a lineage keeps them running.

its fast.
its really fast better than 5x.
Lightning quick.
Fair speeds.
Moderately fast not ultra fast. FB and Asphalt 8 takes time to launch but otger inbuilt and regular apps like WhatsApp, dialer, Instagram etc are quick to launch. Speed was OK on MM and better on custom Android 7 based ROMs like arsenik and elite.
Some phones are great to take camping because if you play Asphalt 8 long enough, the back warms up to the ideal temperature that can bake bread. Rate this thread to express the extent to which the Samsung Galaxy S10+ stays cool under extended heavy use. A higher rating indicates that even when playing strenuous games for long periods of time, the phone doesn't get uncomfortably warm.

Even during intense benchmarking, it didn't heat up. You could feel a little warmth near the top of the back, but barely. No actual heat.
The phone heats up under these conditions: (Slow) wireless charging, downloading over LTE for an extended period, and playing games. For everything else it's comparable, yet, slightly warmer than my Note. The sensors report low 30s, whereas S10 is showing low 40s under the same apps.
My device feel kinda warm...no extensive gaming or something like that, after playing a bit and made antutu test, antutu reported that my cpu had 63 °C ..and 250k points.
If it feels warm do you have your brightness all the way up and max brightness? Also using it without a case? Think of how thin the device is and how good and bright the screen is heat is coming from screen you can feel when grabbing without case.
Getting hot while gaming
Playing Mobile Legends on High settings (Graphics - High, High Quality Display - On, High framerate mode - On, WQHD+) and the phone gets hot with just 1 game (approx. 15 minutes). Playing another game immediately results to less smooth gameplay. Not expecting this because we're supposed to have cooling

Yes. Forgot to add I have a ceramic unit which I know is better than glass when it comes to temperature.
It doesn't get warmer than 30°C no matter the game or benchmark, the vapor cooling seems to do the job, Exynos.

No, have a quick trip to your kitchen and think about all the ceramic tools you have, and why they are made of ceramic.
Ceramic can be both used in thermal isolation and dissipation, 90% of the time it is used to isolate, since it has to be processed specifically to do the opposite.
That's the price you have to pay for having the ceramic version, the back fails to lose temperature just like the average coffee can, it's not a big deal unless you run intensive tasks every day.
I am running an Exynos 512GB Cermaic Black S10 Plus. Even without any usage and phone left in idle mode.. CPU Monitor is showing the temperature as 38-40 degrees. My friends 128GB Prism White is always around 32 degrees. Even my Exynos Note 9 is around the same ball park. So I'm little worried about my nee S10 Plus. Ideally is shouldn't touch 40 degrees that too in idle mode right?
Verizon Snapdragon 1TB Ceramic Black here
My average temp is 90°F (32°C)
The hottest I have gotten this phone to go is 108.5°F (42.5°C) when I transferred my old SD card contents directly onto my phone's internal storage. I transferred about 60GB of data that took about 15 minutes max using Samsung's T5 external SSD connected directly to my phone. So not only was I transferring a lot of files but I was also powering an external device via USB. Gotta say, I am impressed at how well it performed.

My S10+ runs hot occasionally. Seems both clusters get stuck at max when idling.
Could somebody post a temperature graph from gsam battery monitor?
:good:
That dragon ain't no joke. Wonder how he fares in a larger shell, like the S10 5G or N10.
Runs warmer than the note 9 did.View attachment 4759955View attachment 4759956

I play the same game with the same settings but i dont experience heat like you do.
Exynos s10+ here
The latest update (ASD8) brings great improvements to thermals. Much better than previous update, and initial fw from March. Samsung resolved the issue where LTE caused an unusual spike on U1.
You're busy and don't have time to wait, which is why you need to stop reading this thread and get back to organizing your Pogs. Rate this thread to express how the Xiaomi Mi A3 performs when multitasking. A higher rating indicates that the Xiaomi Mi A3 keeps many apps in memory so that they don't need to reload, and that when moving between apps, transitions are smooth and performance is excellent.

I have 4GB RAM variant & I must say, RAM management is actually quite good. Apps launch quickly, frequently used apps don't get unloaded from memory unnecessarily, unlike MIUI. I've rooted my phone & got rid of useless stuff including that awful default launcher (this piece of crap was eating up a ton of memory) & now the device is performing even better.
I'm not a heavy user, I don't play heavy games either. So multitasking is not a problem for me.
MIUI might have better battery life, but it has an annoying habit of killing background apps.
Does the Samsung Galaxy Note10+ (Snapdragon) throttle the CPU to save battery life or manage heat? If so, is there some way to modify that?
Of course there would be a way of doing it, but first root must be achieved
i believe so i keep it on high performance mode at all times
I've only seen this happen if you have either of the power saving moves enabled.
I ran a test with the device set to high performance mode, and there is definitely some modest throttling after the 2 minute mark. Root can't come soon enough.

Here are the results of a more intensive test: https://imgur.com/a/3t4o6f3

So you want it to overheat instead of slow down? Damn thing says 174 degrees.
Can someone, who has the Exynos version, do the CPU Throttling Test and share the picture, please?
The only rootless setting you can set for it is the moderate power save that fix it to 70%
You need root otherwise.
Every CPU have Throttling. This is about temp. increasing. Have one test in GSMARENA.COM
Flagships vs Gaming phones. After 1 hour hard gaming casual flagships decreasing CPU power on 60, 70 % to prevent overheating. In Gamer phones like ROG or Black Shark decreasing is only around 90%. This is because they have active cooling systems.

I agree. But not only gaming devices. For example, Sony Xperia XZ Premium doesn't throttle that much.
I just wanted to see if there is a difference in Throttle on Exynos and Snapdragon.
If someone could do a CPU Throttling Test on Exynos, I would be very happy!
Exynos is horrendous. Just look at gips. Im starting to believe more and more there's something wrong with my device.
