Hi everyone, I recently rooted and installed a custom rom on my a50, but I’m always experiencing thermal throttling problems, high battery drain and some features working very bad like camera (I’m on lightrom v6). So i want to come back to stock rom, but I don’t know how to do, because it is my first samsung phone and I don’t know where to find firmwares and other stuff like that (My previous phone was a xiaomi, so I’m used to modding).
Thanks for your help

Hi there, stock firmware for your device can be found here: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-a50/firmware/#SM-A505FN and a guide to flashing it can be found here: https://www.xda-developers.com/update-firmware-any-samsung-phone/

Hey guys,
It's my first question on this website so please forgive me if I am too noob-ish with my questions.
So recently I got an OTA update for my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 asking me to update from jelly bean 4.1.2 to 4.3 and I did so with no second thought. However, within two weeks of using the new jelly bean version, I am sick of its performance issues, battery life, wifi problems and a host of other annoying things it brought to the table. So I went about looking for advice on several forms on how to improve performance and make my phone usable again.
In the end, I ended up rooting my phone successfully using a thread I found.
I also installed a custom recovery (CWM) so I could flash well-rated custom ROMs. Now, I have a few questions before proceeding since I came across a couple concerns other people expressed on other similar threads......I heard the new 4.3 update came with some kind of new bootloader and Samsung KNOX, and I've read that it could cause problems if I try to downgrade my phone back to the stock ROM (4.1.1) or 4.1.2.
So I have ruled out the option of downgrading my phone given the risk of permanently bricking it.
So my question and concern is.....can I go ahead and flash a custom ROM at this point without bricking my phone? I am thinking about Cyanogenmod 10.2, which is apparently based on jelly bean 4.3. Can I install cyanogenmod 11 (based on 4.4 kitkat) instead of 10.2? What are my risks of flashing a custom ROM through CWM at this point?
Please help, I'm stuck!!! Any help is much appreciated

Cyanogenmod is a good rom that improves your performance alot since bloatware is removed. My S4 on a stock rom uses on average 1.14gb of ram. When I switched to Cyanogenmod 11(4.4.2) It knocked it down to 550mb avarage. I have noticed a significant improvement over the stock rom. If you do it be VERY careful and follow all instructions exact. Make sure everything you download is for your model and you should be fine. Other than that, like you said downgrading is out of the picture so you can try other roms that are 4.3 and up if you don't like CM10/11.

yeah i also would also recommend Cyanogemod, for battery issues i would get the app Performance control and look up which Governor and i/o schedulers, i personally recommend the ondemand or ondemandx governor, you can check DIS out if you want to see it explained, just a brief explanation of why you should use them ondemandx clocks itself to 500mhz when the screen is off and is pretty much a nice battery saver, as for i/o's i myself have not done very much research into these but there are some threads on it too, i just use deadline.
Hello everyone!
I always wanted to get clean Android on my P6, I now it is possible, I saw some AOSP roms, and Paranoid or omni is also looking very good.
The only problem is: there are a lot of tutorials, but they are all written for B506, and I am on B512. I never unlocked, rooted or flashed my phone before, so I dont know how to get started. Do someone want to help me? (If this community still is alive )
Current situation: 100% default P6U06 running B512, no root, no unlock etc.
Thanks in advance!
Okay so I am very new to T800 (Samsung 10.5 Wi-Fi) as I just received mine this week. I am not completely a newbie when it comes to flashing ROM's. I have already rooted and installed TWRP on my T800. What I am wanting is a ROM that is completely Debloated (or has Aroma where I can pick what I want to install) without all the Samsung crap that came with it. I found this ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/prerooted-stock-touchwiz-rom-t2973107
Has anyone installed it on their T800? I read through quite a few posts but can't find much for the new 2.1 version that was released on the 8th. I just want a ROM that is stock but without all the bloatware. Just a clean simple ROM but keeping the stock look. Can anyone help me. I have searched Google as well as XDA and maybe I am just looking in the wrong spots or not looking hard enough? My brain is on overload with everything I have read. Oh I have the Lollipop bootloader and would like to keep 5.02.
Please someone help? THANKS! :good:

I'm currently on ironrom now. As of now there's no aroma on the lollipop builds. But I'm running it now and it's really smooth.

Hello. I am new here, so I apologize if this is not the correct place to post...
I have a Samsung Galaxy Express 3 that I have recently rooted. Unfortunately rooting my phone did not speed it up as I had planned. In fact, it seems to be slower than ever. I am used to PA as I have installed it on previous devices and I absolutely love it. It is my favorite custom rom. Anyway, I cannot find ANY custom rom for my device. Is it possible to simply flash it with the rom for a similar device? Is there anything I can do to force a custom rom on to my device to at least TRY?
Any help or advice is most definitely welcome.
I have rooted the express 3 and would love to install a custom rom if anyone has one .
tl;dr: for a galaxy s9 exynos (international) want to magisk root but twrp needs a kernel without dm-verity so in looking for a recommended kernel but rather an everyday rom using a kernel without dm-verity
Thnx
Been using an honor 8 for ages witch never really got a good community or rom scheme
But I'm now on a galaxy s9 but twrp tells me I need a kernel without dm-verity and with this I need a tad help to choose one.
I'd rather get a great everyday user rom with dm-verity disabled in its kernel because I'm also looking for an everyday use rom.
Haven't flashed kernels or roms since I had my galaxy s3 but I probably use some recommendations on what to use sheer then my good friend Google gone hello me most of the way, otherwise I'll ask somewhere
Thnx for your time
just go stock and uninstall all the crap you dont like. the kernel nowadays is so good, youd be surprised what a fresh install of the stock stuff (minus all the garbage you, and nobody else for that matter, wants on their phones) will be capable of
