Help with secure folder. - Samsung Galaxy A70 Questions & Answers

I rooted my phone following a guide and everything works just fine.
I wanted to use secure folder again so I applied the smali patch to allow for me to bypass the samsung know trip,
but everytime i open the secure folder it says it cant create it.
Am i doing something wrong?

[WIP][4.4.4] Emulated Android ROOT and unlock

I am not responsable of any damage in your phoneHi i have create this aow.wim images with ROOT bin and uncheked not to used BT and GSM in android apps but I cant copy it so system32/aow.wim
Can someone test it and put how to copy the image to pohne and most important if it works and if it is rooted you need to install SuperSU or others apps but bins are there...
Install route WINDOWS/System32/aow
Download:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/n68tle0kzd29b3e/aow.wim
For now i am tired of thinking i will try next day if i got time for it to copy to phone and try iif it works
This most likely won't work. The aow.wim on the system has extra headers that have Android-specific metadata attached to it. I see that you most likely just copied the contents out of it and then created a NEW wim, as it's impossible to commit changes to the aow.wim that comes with the update due to it complaining about WIMBoot.

I not 100% sure if i'm correct in saying this but I don't think there is actually any method of putting the new aow.wim into the AOW folder, as using MTP or the built in file explorer either returns Permission error on unknown error respectively and @snickler has found that you cannot write to that directory using his SFTP method.
Plus @ADeltaX has managed to get root 2/3 working but project astoria doesnt allow two apps to overlay each so you cannot grant root access as there is no superSU pop-up. So he is working on modding superSU.
Just turn off "Protection against false touches" or smth like that in SuperSU (Settings)

Temporary Root to Access data/ Directory - is it possible?

Hi there,
I'm needing root access but I don't want to permanently have my device rooted - is there a way to achieve this or am I on the road to nowhere? Ideally I'd get access, download the files and then reboot back to normal.
Running standard 9 Pie in my Pixel 2 XL.
Many thanks!
I may be wrong so anyone with more knowledge please chime in. In order to root on this phone you need to modify the boot.img and to do that you need an unlocked bootloader. Is yours unlocked? If not I think you may be dead in the water.
If you're meaning the OEM Unlocking in the developer settings then yes I can unlock that. I know some networks block it from being toggled but I bought my phone unlocked so isn't tied to any provider so I'm think it may be possible?
That button gives you the ability to unlock the bootloader via fastboot, not an instant unlock.

You shouldn't need root to copy files from the /data partition. You can simply use a file manager for that. You need root however to copy files to the /data partition.
A little more detail on what you're trying to accomplish here may be useful.
I have tried a few file explorers and none of them have access to data/. It's true I only want to read from and not write to any of the files and/or directories but I don't even seem to be able to get that.
I'm wanting to copy the key file from the WhatsApp folder.
I think it's in data/data/com.whatsapp/key
If the file managers can't see it, use ADB and pull it from /data.

With SuperSU go Settings, Full Unroot then follow directions. Install ES File Explorer, turn on root access in the settings. Access your device’s main drive and look for “system”. Select it then tap on “bin”. Delete “busybox” and “su”. If they're not there go to the next step. Go back to the system folder and select “xbin”. If the files are there delete both “busybox” and “su”. Go back to the system folder and select “app”. Delete “superuser, apk”. Be advised Samsung devices are more complicated, these methods may not provide a solution. On the S20 you have tripped Knox so don't expect to revive Samsung Pay, Health or Secure Folder even after flashing firmware or a factory reset as your device isn't actually fully unrooted.

Question Device Rooted, but magisk showing N/A

Hello guys,
I rooted my device today, but after a module install (magisk-delta), magisk suddently showed, that it's not installed. Even tho root checker still shows I'm rooted. Is there any fix for this or I have to reinstall?
EDIT: Thanks to @bobfrantic reply, I managed to fully root it

Well, are you getting prompts to allow root access when an app requires root access?

Nope, just tried on Classic Power Menu app which requires root, no pop-ups or stuff anymore.
Well then you're probably not properly rooted and the first root method that confirmed you were is unreliable. It probably just checks if you have the magisk app installed and that's how it determines if you have root access.
Copy your AP_tar file (making sure to remove the .md5 extension) to your phone. Open magisk_delta and tap the top install and select patch a file. Browse to the AP_tar file you copied. Then click the lets go and wait for magisk_delta to do the patching. When done, it will put the patched file into your download folder on your internal partition. Copy that file back to computer. Using odin put the ap file in the ap slot. Put the BL and CP files in thier slots. Use the non home CSC which will wipe your current setup and you will start from scratch. (You may want to back up your phone with smart_switch before running odin.) Once setup first thing to do is reinstall magisk_delta and if it asks to reboot, do that. Once rebooted you should be fully rooted.

Yep, check the edit. Thx for ur reply

Is there any working method to temporary root this phone?

So, i don't want any custom ROM or anything, i just need to access some app's hidden files (Steam), more specifically, i need to edit some XML files that are stuck somewhere in /data.
KingoRoot doesn't work, the APK just says Root Failed, and tells me to try the desktop variant, the desktop variant doesn't work either.
I would've rooted it, but i don't want to unlock the bootloader and lose my files. So i am at a bit of a loss here.
