HydrogenOS/OxygenOS ? - Redmi Note 8 Pro Questions & Answers

Hey does anyone know if it's possible to have this version of OxygenOS on our device. Mine arrived today an is still in the box.
Its Global Begonia an I know many of you have had hard bricks unless you are very careful an follow developer guides to the letter.
And I know I probably have to wait 168hrs minimum for bootloader unlock before I try anything lol.
I just wondered if someone was willing to try this GSI and give some feedback or advice? Or if anyone has tried it already?

Dopod ROM + UK Tmob C3

Dear All,
I wonder if someone can give me a definitive answer, I've read posts saying that if you want to use another vendors ROM then you have to unlock first as in the old days but I have also read that the following ROM installs straight off without unlocking.
I have downloaded the following from HTC SEA site: RUU_Artemis_DOPODASIA_WWE_3.7.707.1_4.1.13.30_02.69.90_Ship.exe and would like to install it without bricking my phone! As it is a legit ROM I'm happy to give it a go but I thought I'd check here first.
Many thanks
Alex
You still have to unlock using USPL.
The only ROM's you can flash without unlocking would be UK T-Mobile ones, because they will match your CID lock.

I hate to say it but unfortunatley the only thing you can do is contact xiaomi official support (for example a Mi Store in your country) or somehow get authorized.
No other way around
A month ago xiaomi had that thread of everyone asking for authorizing and they closed it and authorized everyone who asked for it.
Good Luck!

I saw on russian miui forum request thread for edl activation but admin close this thread.
I managed to brick mine, I cannot believe how stupid I am specially because I was aware of ARB. I don't quite know what is the way forward but mine now not even powering on. Cannot do anything with it.
If anyone could provide any help, would be appreciate.

PM @Apo11on, he'll be able to get you the right information. He's well versed enough to guide you correctly since he just got out of his brick situation.

This was a long ride. I got information from: http://en.miui.com/thread-4167524-2-1.html and http://en.miui.com/thread-3014918-1-1.html
The video helps to take the phone apart: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYlKG3EcpHg&t=84s
- Then removed the battery cable
- And flashed a chinese fastboot
Unfortunately some reason I was unable to flash the global on any way. The phone wasnt booting just hang on the android screen.
I'm on miui10 EU, some reason thats working fine. I hope the above helps for someone..

Please don't refer people to PM me without my consent, or at least without talking to me first.

So, by using the testpoint method you managed to unbrick your device without an authorized account?
Next time put your rom in a path without spaces, i'm talking about the "Mi Max3" folder, i have seen many cases of unsuccessful flash attempts because the rom was on path with a space or non english characters.

My apologies. I figured you were the most up to date and best help due to recently bricking yours. Didn't mean to offend you.

My case was slightly different to others. I managed to kill mine totally, wasnt even powering on or at least didn't display anything on the screen.
So I thought I won't loose anything if I try all I posted. I bought a poco f1 as a replacement already cause I thought this is dead..
I didn't authorise anything just done all the stepps I posted and managedvto revive the device.
I'm on miui10 eu, does anyone know if I could flash the global without bricking again?
Just don't want to do it all ovet again. Taking the device apart was a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend to anyone who hasn't done anything like this before.
Sorry I don't quite understand this "Next time put your rom in a path without spaces", can you explain please?

In the screenshot of MiFlash you posted, the rom path is on "D:\Download\Android\Mi Max3\..."
The "Mi Max3" folder name has a space.
I have seen many cases of unsuccesful flash attempts because of this.
So, next time rename the "Mi Max3" folder to "MiMax3" and make sure none of the other sub-folders have a name with a space.

Can LM-G710ULM be rooted?

Hello guys
I´ve been looking for a way to do it, and I have only found things about the European version and older posts saying it could be done, so I´m not sure if it even possible as for today
Can somebody explain me if the process can be done?
Thanks a lot
I've realized before LG stopped supporting the V30, the damnned LG G6 US997 USA unlocked could be the last G-Series to enjoy unlocked bootloader & root, I don't know why the European variants getting bootloader as soon as the newer flagships are launched! Before buying the almost useless G710ULM, Last year the European G710EUM is costlier than the ULM. Since I was on a budget, I could afford the ULM "sigh"! Even the latest European LG V50 & the LG G8 is bootloader unlocked!

Yes, it can be unlocked and rooted. As far as I know, the instructions have not made their way to XDA, and XDA doesn't allow linking to the Telegram group where they're posted. Just Google for a Telegram group for the LG G7 ThinQ and look for the instructions posted there.
Unlocking isn't without some risk, though, since it involves temporarily overwriting the bootloader with another one, but it reportedly works.
So I dug up the instructions and the associated files this morning, but before I pull the trigger on this: will LineageOS builds work after the bootloader is unlocked? Obviously they're tagged for the EU model in the other thread, but I figured I'd check and see if someone tried this already.

Tried to DM you the link, please let me know if that worked! Otherwise you can install Telegram and just search for LG G7. Should pop up right towards the top.
Any new info on this? The G7 hardware is great so I would love to put lineage or some form of aosp on it. Couldn't find the telegram link though, so I would greatly appreciate it if somebody could send it to me. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I actually have the US unlocked model (lm-g710ulm) which does not support official bootloader unlock support from LG. I have heard a few people saying that there are unofficial methods of unlocking the bootloader and I wanted to give it a shot. Any new info is appreciated

Oneplus Buds Flash Firmware

So guys, place in OnePlus Forum the solution to flash the global rom on oneplus buds.
I don't take any responsibility for problems or bugs, but I want to be of help to anyone who has had the same problem as me.
Do not send me private messages if you have problems flashing, the guide speaks clearly and tells you how to get the global firmware on the buds.
Best Regard.
Yo can post here the solution that gives OnePlus to you
OnePlus buds chinese firmware
Hey!
Just saw your post when trying to solve what I think it is the same problem you had. My buds are 352.352 so I'm guessing they are the chinese version. Fast pairing, pop up and other functions are not working.
I see your post on the OnePlus forum has been removed, could you help me out solving this issue? I have experience flashing roms, zips and etc. since I have always had my OnePlus phone rooted.
Thank you in advance!
