Hey everyone.
I have a question that hopefully someone ca help me out with.
I am not new to rooting but am new to CWM.
I have found how to clear dalvik cache but how do I clear cache, system & data?
Please just let me know where they are located and which is which.
Thank you very much
Factory reset is the data, cache is the third one I think.

I'm new to rooting and would like to switch between Bombaridier and Juggernaut. What steps do I need to take to switch between the two roms if I already have Bomba on here.
Go to the opening page of whatever ROM you want and there should be specific instructions on how to install. Hope that helps you.

You did thanks. So I would have to go through the hassle of putting in all my contacts and apps each time I switch roms?

theres an app called Titanium Backup, that should help you backup your apps, and for the contacts, i recomend saving them to your google account or sim for that matter.

yea fersure man, just pm if u got any other question! and welcome to xda btw
i am running stock at&t ics, rooted.
installed awesome beats, and then ac!d 2.0 engine over it
now how do i uninstall them and get the original sound driver back to the rom.
(getting rid of walkman, dsp manager, etc.)
don't wanna reflash entire rom.
any help is appreciated...
Did the installer truly modify your build.prop? If so, I would imagine that you would just have to remove the added lines, then un install the apps.

so which lines would i be looking at in build.prop file
i REALLY don't wanna reflash, then set up all the google wallet and other mods all over again.
In the Ac!d OP, there is a list of the build.prop lines that you should manually add if the install script had failed.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
yeah, i had the ac!d 2.0 installed
so they had different commands in the build.prop
but it was fairly easy to locate.
deleted those lines, and then installed the ac!d 5.0 engine
works great
thanks
You could wipe /system, /cache, and the dalvik cache and reflash without wiping /data. I don't know what will happen if you reflash stock ROM but it should work fine if you flash a stock-based custom ROM.

Hi, tasteslikechicken,
Just curious. If you mean that by just wiping system and cache and dalvik mean my apps and other data will remain? Say for example my stored SMS, whatsapp conversations etc?
In the build.prop file you would get lines which includes something like htc.audio
Delete those lines and the app and then check it out.
I'm trying to install Imperium Initiative V1.0.0. I wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, factory reset, and reboot. How long should the phone take to reboot after following this process? I've waited 10 to 15 minutes and the phone doesn't boot.

No, I'm not bricked. I can still boot into recovery (CWM) and reinstall my old rom. I'm just finding out should it take this long to install or am I just being impatient.
Well from reading the steps that you took not once did you mention you actually flash the ROM

In recovery:
Factory reset
Wipe System
Install
Reboot
Wipe/format system is not the same as a factory reset.
Everyone keeps wiping everything except for the most important one. SYSTEM. make sure you wipe system BEFORE you flash and then you wipe the cache after you flash.

Wiping system is ROM Flashing 101. I'm surprised at how many folks are skipping this.

I'm new to this. Will wiping the system delete all of my music from my Internal SD Card? I don't see an option to wipe the system in CWM. What app can I use to complete this task?
